    I own a 21 Polaris 650 launch edition, haven’t had any issues except for the recalls. That being said, you know what time it was… Haven’t had any other issue to the day, definitely a fun sled and I’m thankful I still own it. With my new XCR my son and I plane to do some pretty cool things together, that’s where life gets epic!

    Still waiting on my 850 snow check in that green color. I'm dubbing it the Thin Mint. Obviously got the mid height windshield and the 7S. Bring on the snow! What they didn't mention is that the 24XCR now comes with the HD rear springs out of the box now - that's new for 24'.

    One thing that doesn’t get mentioned much about the 650 is that you can run 87 octane with no issues. Not sure if it drops the performance a bit, but having the option to run 87 when you pull up to the pumps in the middle of nowhere in Northern Ontario and the premium is gone is great. Especially when the sled performs this well.
    Loved that I could run 87 in my 1200 Doo and really wish that engine could come back.

    Nice look at this sled I’m really liking what Polaris is bringing to the market. I am looking at a clearance priced 23’ Polaris SKS 650 in the white green colour. It’s a great price and I love what they have done with the 650 engine so I’m thinking to take the chance on it. I’m currently riding a 2011 Skidoo mxz tnt carb but it’s time for an upgrade. I’m no stranger to Polaris my summer machine is a 2016 Sportsman 850sp. Thanks guys great videos s always. 🇨🇦🍻. We finally got some snow over here in Alberta it’s time to ride!

    😂 lots of love from people posting. My biggest complaint is the colors are being chosen by someone blind. I think it was 2022 that had the red and black. That looked great. Whoever is making the design choices for paint should be sacked. I like the smooth power of the 650 and the handling is great. Polaris has the best display in the 7s. The one area I was disappointed was looking for a sled for my wife. The 550 indy for the money didn't come close to what Ski Doo offers in the MXz sport 600EFI. I ride them all not brand loyal. Sad to see Yamaha getting out of the snowmobile biz.

    Although the three things you look for in a sled are important, I think #1 has to be reliability followed by value. Guess I got 5 things I look for lol. I have both Ski Doo and Polaris, and wouldn't mind a new Cat now as well.

    You say it's unchanged. Well I'd like to know what has changed since 2021 ! Why.... because my 2024 runs very very different than my 2021 did. 21 had a wonderful linear power delivery. 24 has a more abrupt snappier delivery ??? We ride tight trails and sometimes have to ride at 15 to 20 mph. Trying to maintain 20 mph on thos sled is near impossible because at that speed its an on off switch. The 21 did not do this. ?

  • @s1edneck700
    @s1edneck700 7 місяців тому

    Guess there's gonna be a lot of crazy people on the snow this season! It seems like this sled has become confused...mostly because the lack of salesmanship from dealers that are just interested in taking orders vs. landing somebody on a product because they "like the color". To each their own, but in my opinion I don't think its doing the consumer any favors in the long run. Thank you for the review.

      Driveshaft is the ideal brake location. I know it doesn't feel as good. But I think it's crazy not to have it on the driveshaft for safety reasons. I've seen and heard of a lot of chains breaking over the years. That's where I always want it. All the manufactures have moved around brake locations. Right now, I think it's only Ski-doo and AC that has current sled models with a driveshaft brake.

    • @FalvyPollard

      When the chain breaks, everything jams up and the sled stops, non-issue

    • @lucascady4992
      @lucascady4992 7 місяців тому +2

      IMO, those things don't break at full throttle, it's usually out of the hole.. With the declaration off throttle on most sled's you can stop with no brakes.. Plus if the chain breaks, it usually locks up and send you or the bar's! I'm sure the people who engineered it have thought about that situation! Cheers brother's 😮🍻

    Always been a Ski Doo guy (for good reason) , but if I had to change brands, I'd likely try out a Catalyst, if Polaris was the only option, that is the sled I would get. as far as the handling, its a personal thing, Ski Doo handle better too me, period, (I'm a very aggressive rider), but as i said, its a personal preference. lastly, Polaris is too fragile, they fall apart. Too many recalls and issues for me to want one. Its funny to watch you gush over the Polaris though LOL

      Sounds like you're gushing over Ski Doo. Ridden Ski Doo have friends who have new ones as well. Ski Doo does not handle as well as a Poaris. We all have brand preference, and I have ridden with so-called "hard" riders. I wait and have coffee while they catch up. Don't bash when you don't know what you're talking about.
