How could I possibly be expected to go to school on a day like this?
Life moves pretty fast.
If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.
"You fake a stomach cramp, and while you're bent over, moaning and wailing, you lick you're palms. I know its childish and stupid, but then, so is high school."
Its good practice for when your older and need to cause a since to draw away attention from whatever your friend across the room is trying to get away with or out of
“The key to faking out the parents is the clammy hands. It’s a good non-specific symptom. I’m a big believer in it. A lotta people will tell you that a good phony fever is a dead lock. But uh, you get a nervous mother, you could wind up at the *doctor’s office,* that’s worse than school.”
I quote John Lennon, "I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me." Good point there. After all, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus. I'd still have to bum rides off of people.
"I am the Eggman. I am the Eggman. I am the walrus. Coo coo cachoob." - The Beatles
That's why he wrote white and no shoes, the lighter you are physically the more your prepped to float to heaven
I do have a test today. That wasn't bullshit. It's on European socialism. Why should I care? I'm not European. I don't plan on being European, so why should I care if they're socialists?
They could be anarchist fascists; it still wouldn't change the fact that I don't have a car.
J Womack It's not that I condone fascism or any 'ism' for that matter. Ism's, in my opinion, are not good. A person should not believe in an 'ism,' he should believe in himself.
Natalie Korzh I quote John Lennon, " I don't believe in Beatles, I just believe in me"
34FenwayPark Good point there, he was the walrus. I could be the walrus, but I'd still have to bum rides off of people.
When I first heard this song in the movie, only hearing the lyrics "shoot it up", all I could think is "woah this is the happiest song about heroin that has ever been made".
Funny, I always heard it as "suited up," tying to what Ferris was doing at that point in the movie.
This is probably one of the best soundtracks in cinematic history....the flowerpot men, the smiths, day bow bow....
This is my ninth sick day this semester, it’s getting pretty tough coming up with new illnesses. If I go for 10, I’ll have to barf a new lung. So I better make this one a count.
If you had access to a car like this. Would you take it straight back? Neither would I.
George Orchard The question isn’t what ARE we gonna do, the question is what AREN’T we gonna do
Once great movie .... and now still great movie . Very inspiring back in the day's
The thing I love about this song is that it just jumps all over the place. #saveFerris
20 people are letting life pass them by
SAVE FERRIS!!
WOW!!! This movie premiered at the "Star Lite Drive-in" in Merced Cal.& was featured with the movie "Back To School" with Rodney Dangerfield when I was working as a radio announcer at 1480am/KYOS in Merced! After watching the movie "Ferris", I went to work the following night & played Danke Schoen & Twist & Shout and added both songs to the music rotation for 2 months! What memories & fun I had while working there! Oh Yeah! Ferris Bueller's Day Off was really cool too!!
Life moves pretty fast
If you don’t look around once in a while you could miss it
Nice...
I Just remembered John lennon's quotes: "life is what happen while youre making others plans"
Saw this one in the theaters. I couldn't believe John Hughes didn't put out a soundtrack to this movie at the time. Nice to see the music's still alive. Thanks for the post.
Yes, John said that the songs didn't quite fit together to be an album, but, the fans made an unofficial soundtrack!
Ferris Bueller! I love it! 😂👏🏼

"Mother's brother's sisters boyfriend saw Ferris pass out at 31 flavors last night...I guess its pretty bad." SAVE FERRIS!!! "He's getting me out of Summer School!"

Great period when I was teen WAOUW :-)
Name a film with a better soundtrack. Ferris rules!
save Ferris
life moves pretty fast,if you don't stop and look around once in awhile, you're gonna miss it.
On a different note, compare this to current teen comedies. If this were made in 2011, the guys would ditch school, try to score some weed, maybe visit a brothel, maybe run into a couple of gang-bangers, and there would be a couple of topless scenes thrown in for good measure. Instead, Ferris goes to the Art Institute, Wrigley Field, a parade, and a hot tub. Very tame stuff, and yet the movie was a hit.
John Hughes was fascinated with the British New Wave that was becoming very popular in the United States at the time. Not to mention that he was an Anglophile. That's why the references to the Beatles and Lennon as well.

Coole Lieder, cooler Film. Würde auch gerne mal "blau machen". Mein Chef ist unerbittllich.
Save Ferrrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiisssssssssssssssssss!!
mmmmm that was faaaantastic!!
if you're talking about the guy who talks to Jeanie at the police station, that IS charlie sheen.
well I wished I grew up in the 80's.
also, i am going to meet alan ruck who played cameron in the film at london film and comic con this july. i cant wait.
I was always had mixed feelings abt. this flick. I was an 80's kid, but I could never dream to live a life like Ferris, so I kinda resented his character. He lives in an awesome house, has loving parents, goes to a good school, and can skip many school days and not have to worry, cause he is set for life. I knew guys like that when I was that age, and it ticked me off when I saw it to exaggerated effect on the big screen.
holy crap i forget this was in the movie O: i own the album this is off of.. and now i see why i liked this track so much (wow)
-_- subliminal as hell ahaha
I'm a 70's kid but I do remember these guys from clubbing days haha
👽🖖🏼clássico...
This aged like a fine wine
Save Farris,Save 80's Years!!!!!!!!!!.
"Would you like to play a game?"
Am I on the right movie?
"Those aren't pillows!"
how can i use this on a video for school that will be posted to youtube?
Isnt this version or a close one in Grand Theft Auto VIce City? the best GTA ever.
yeah it's SO unrealistic...no one is THAT popular with all the dweebs, jocks, bloods, motorheads....etc...but now looking back at this movie.. as a 34 yr old adult and 80s kid, it WAS all about just having fun...i mean look at charlie sheen...playing a rebel and then a rambo spin off, im sure he could tell us all about having fun and what the 80's meant, hes had ONE TOO MANY DAYS OFF that's for sure...
Velho ❤
AmooooooooooooooBis💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋💋
Este som deixa à gente meio loucopooo
i agree so much its not funny i love this song even though a was born 1999 i love older music
"They could be fascist anarchists, and it still wouldn't change the fact that I don't own a car"
Geile Musik, geht voll ab !
I could be wrong, but I believe the Ultra Violent remix is the one used in the film, not this one.
Super Fun Time!
The only album version of the song on the internet
Super Phun Thyme
Would have never listened to this song if it wasn’t in the movie..
great interpretation of Charlie Sheen
go on the red bubble website and you can buy a t shirt with a picture of ferris on it and it says "save ferris" underneath it and there's another t shirt with a picture of ferris and it says "life moves pretty fast. if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it" on it. i have the "save ferris" one and i might buy the other t shirt too.
