Dude, I’m playing through Danganronpa 2 with a friend who hasn’t played it yet and he got really attached to Mahiru. Her body discovery announcement felt even more brutal to him, as you can imagine. The worst part is that, right after that, he said “at least I still have Peko”. I had to hold back my laughter.
I have a friend who's favourites in DR1 were Sayaka, Junko (Mukuro) and Leon. After those three died, she was like 'Okay but Taka and Mondo definitely scream survivors to me they're my new husbandos' and then she was absolutely broken lmao
Something I noticed; Sakura's body discovery was the ONLY one that didn't play that laughter/screaming/crying/whatever that sound was. If another suicide ever happens, pay attention to that music! (I couldn't hear anything for Chihiro. IDK what you guys are talking about.)

I think they didn't insert any laughing/screaming because they had to confuse it up at the time we first saw her in the rec room; We didn't know whether she was alive or not, heck, not even the cause of her death since she was just "sitting there smiling" and therefore her death leading to this strange BDE soundtrack.

Not Necessarily. I Believe its just a Creepy Sound Used to make the Body Discoveries That Much More Impactful. I Mean, Someone That you can have time to Bond with Has just been Found Dead. So In My Eyes, I Think it's the Sounds of the Dead Departing from The Physical World.

Depending on what death it was the song changes and sometimes the scream is short or long, For example Sakura has no scream, ryoma’s echos, mahiru’a is shorter than most, Nagito’s is hella loud and distorted, and Mechumaru’s is more mechanical, and kokichi’s is a nightmare of sounds. Another detail I like is that the body discovery goes to where you first would look, a great example of that is angie’s and nagito’s

Yeah for some reason in the Danganronpa 1 and V3 demos they had Yasohiro be the victim... and it was highly suggested that in the DR1 demo Hifumi killed him, though we never know for sure as we never find out the killer in the demo

The way that Hiyoko's body was discovered gave me more chills... It's crazy how anyone who didn't know she would die would watch this and say: Huh? Didn't it just show Ibuki's body discovery? Then it zooms out and you probably don't notice Hiyoko, but it zooms in on her which kinda makes me jump.
Theory: The screams reflect those of the victims, and the glitching sound thing is being struck, hut, strangled, stabbed etc. Examples: 1) Chihiro, who died instantly had none. 2) Ibuki had very little, as strangling would end pretty quickly 3) Hiyoko's was long, as she probably screamed for a while 4) Nekomaru's was very mechanical 5) Nagito's was long, yet muffled, glitching effets the entire time 6) Ryoma's had an echo, lake the bottom of the basin he was drowned in That's it :P
A few things I'd like to add too are that: I think that how loud the scratching / glitching is also reflects on how brutal the death is / the condition on the body when discovered Nagito's and Kokichi's have the loudest scratching / glitching sound, as far as I have noticed. Nagito... Did all that, and Kokichi was literally crushed The screams represent that someone was murdered, the louder for the worse the victim felt / the surprise of who discovered the body(?) Sakura and the 'attackers' from DR3 Future Side didn't have screams for their discoveries (Izayoi and the security guards had, because they were murdered), because they killed themselves. Chihiro's didn't have a scream because the death was an "accident" caused by blind rage and (if what Alter Ego said is to be trusted), they didn't feel like it was Mondo's fault Also, the way that the crime scene is discovered seems to follow some "patterns" Obviously, for most, it follows where the attention of the protagonist is, until they get a full picture of the scene But others are a bit different Mukuro's, Nekomaru's and Rantaro's are from a top view, and they are murders which are not what they seem to be at first (being almost perfect crimes, two of them by the respective killing game's mastermind, you could also argue that Nekomaru was killed by Monokuma, before he turned into Mechamaru and died again) Chihiro's and (fake) Hifumi's are discovered like how things appear when you enter a room normally, and they are fabricated crime scenes, with Chihiro being killed in another room entirely and Hifumi being alive I can't think of why would Taka's both, Hifumi's second and Kokichi's body discoveries have those angles though Maybe they were extremely planned murders or something?
Not exactly. Mahiru who died instantly had a scream, and Byakuya didn't scream since no one heard his scream but the body discovery still had a scream. Rantaro also died instantly and his body discovery had a scream too.
For the closest person to the protagonist, the camera will zoom in on their hands. My theory is the protagonist is thinking if he held that person's hand just a little but tighter, they wouldn't have died. Just a theory lol

Nekomaru’s pissed me off so much when I first saw it, I literally just sat there for like 30 seconds fuming because he was one of my favorite characters and they had just brought him back. Buuuuut at the same time, his death did give us one of the best trials in the trilogy
Ibuki’s death was not the most shocking, but it’s still the most heartbreaking one for me. Just the fact that she basically had no control over her actions, and was probably the most carefree and lighthearted person in the group. And she was killed by someone who was suppose to be taking care of her... I mean heck, I only completed DR2 less than a month ago, and I’m still not really over it.

i don’t know why but i just love that laugh it’s great....this is how i picture the sound it’s the sound of someone trying to ignore the fact that someone’s dead by laughing away there sadness before the reality kicks in because it’s not insane laughter there’s a difference🙂

I know nobody ever find this but my theory is that this "human" sound in actuality is a mix of three or four different noises. First one is the victim's scream. Second is the Monokuma's laughter. Third one is protags scream And fourth one is embodimend of fear, anxiety and DESPAIR inside protags head.
Angie's body discovery is so chaotic and has such an evil energy to it, I feel like Nagito's and Angie's are quite similar especially in the camera's work

Dude oh my god kokichi’s death has so many sounds, he must of hurt a lot. He was shot with an arrow, then another but it was also poisoned, and then crushed. :( man poor Kokichi, he sacrificed himself and no one even cared after he died!
Nagito’s and Miu’s really fucked me up. He was literally stabbed in the hand and tied up to stay in place, and got inpaled. He even looked so scared dying. And my girl was literally ripping out her windpipe. Both of their expressions made me cryz
I feel like timing is so important in these, which is why I feel they got so much better as the series went on, cuz the ones in the first game were.. meh, especially hifumi and chihiro, where other than a different camera angle and the body discovery sound effect, everything just kinda popped into place like a normal room. I like it when they start zoomed in on a part of the body, and work their way up to the head, and when the screaming starts, thats when the face of the killed is shown, and the camera pans, and then soon zooms out
Ibuki's BDA was so disturbing. I know that she was basically acting like a puppet in 2-3 but upon the first time discovering her body, I thought that her doing "that" wouldn't be in her character. I also like Sakura's BDA because it lacks the screaming sound effect like as though they made you question whether she was alive or not -- after all, she was just sitting there, smiling.

Just the fact that she basically had no control over her actions, and was probably the most carefree and lighthearted person in the group. And she was killed by someone who was suppose to be taking care of her... I mean heck, I only completed DR2 less than a month ago, and I’m still not really over it.
DR2 is my favorite because it felt the most heart breaking imo.

I know nobody ever find this but my theory is that this "human" sound in actuality is a mix of three or four different noises.
First one is the victim's scream.
Second is the Monokuma's laughter.
Third one is protags scream
And fourth one is embodimend of fear, anxiety and DESPAIR inside protags head.

I feel like timing is so important in these, which is why I feel they got so much better as the series went on, cuz the ones in the first game were.. meh, especially hifumi and chihiro, where other than a different camera angle and the body discovery sound effect, everything just kinda popped into place like a normal room. I like it when they start zoomed in on a part of the body, and work their way up to the head, and when the screaming starts, thats when the face of the killed is shown, and the camera pans, and then soon zooms out
The way the laugh echoed during Ryoma’s body discovery gives me chills every time

Ibuki's BDA was so disturbing. I know that she was basically acting like a puppet in 2-3 but upon the first time discovering her body, I thought that her doing "that" wouldn't be in her character.
I also like Sakura's BDA because it lacks the screaming sound effect like as though they made you question whether she was alive or not -- after all, she was just sitting there, smiling.
Is it weird that I think the body discovery music is so satisfying to listen to I also really find execution music satisfying
