If you’re new to my channel, my name is Alex Hormozi. I’m the founder and managing partner of Acquisition.com. It’s a family office, which is just a formal way of saying we invest our own money into companies. Our 10 portfolio companies bring in over $200,000,000+ per year. Our ownership stake varies between 20% and 100% of them. Given this is a YT channel, and anyone can claim anything, I’ll give you some stuff you can google to verify below.
    How I got here…
21: Graduated Vanderbilt in 3 years Magna Cum Laude, and took a fancy consulting job.
23 yrs old: Left my fancy consulting job to start a business (a gym).
24 yrs old: Opened 5 gym locations.
26 yrs old: Closed down 6th gym. Lost everything.
26 yrs old: Got back to launching gyms (launched 33). Then, lost everything for a 2nd time.
26 yrs old: In desperation, started licensing model as a hail mary. It worked.
27 yrs old: "Gym Launch" does $3M profit the next 6 months. Then $17M profit next 12 months.
28 yrs old: Started Prestige Labs. $20M the first year.
29 yrs old: Launched ALAN, a software company for agencies to work leads for customers. Scaled to $1.7mmo within 6 months.
31 yrs old: Sold 75% of UseAlan to a strategic buyer in an all stock deal.
31 yrs old: Sold 66% of Gym Launch & Prestige Labs at $46.2M valuation in all-cash deal to American Pacific Group. (you can google it)
31 yrs old: Started our family office Acquisition.com. We invest and scale companies using the $42M in distributions we had taken + the cash from the $46.2M exit.
32 yrs old: Started making free content showing how we grow companies to make real business education accessible to everyone (and) to attract business owners to invest or scale their businesses.
34 yrs old: I became co-owner of Skool.com to help the many people who want to start a business online do so.
Today: Our portfolio now does $200M/yr between 10 companies. The largest doing $100M/yr the smallest doing $5M per year. Our ownership varies between 20% and 100% ownership of the companies. Many of them we invested in early and helped grow (which is how we make our money - not youtube videos).
To all the gladiators in the arena, we’re all in the middle of writing our own stories. The worse the monsters, the more epic the story.
You either get an epic outcome or an epic story. Both mean you win.
Keep crushing. May your desires be greater than your obstacles.
    Never quit,
    Alex
    FULL DISCLOSURE
I make content to make money - just - on a longer time horizon than most. I want to build trust with business owners so we can find the best ones and help them scale. And if they’re awesome, write them a check and go all the way as partners.

When you hear something profound, don't quote it, write down what came to your mind as a result of hearing it.
You'll have a lot more original sayings
    ex.
“it's not like they're moving super fast they just don't make the wrong turn they go directly for the ammo”
    - Alex Hormozi
“Speed isn’t about moving faster, It’s having less wasted movement”

Being a disabled person, starting something that makes money, is damn near impossible for me. Being a musician who lives way out in the country, without modern technology, I have to be super resourceful and I have nothing that people want to buy really.

    • @TheClickSmith
      @TheClickSmith 3 місяці тому

No offense, but I see 5 excuses in this comment and you may be feeling a little sorry for yourself. The quicker you decide that is not your truth, the quicker you will see all of the opportunities available to you.
I know because I was in a similar situation. I am not disabled, but the rest was true for me.
I now own a marketing agency and make enough to pay my bills, plus travel with my wife every month. It’s not a ton, but it’s enough and growing.
I only got here because I changed my beliefs, realized no one else was coming to save me, and wake up everyday with gratitude for the opportunities that will be given to me.
After this video, I am going to start documenting failures/ successes. If you watch these videos and don’t take action, it’s on you for not getting to the place you want to be.
With all of that out of the way, maybe I can spark some creativity for you.
You said you’re disabled, but not disabled enough to play music. If that’s the case, a number of things you can do within music virtually. (No modern tech needed, a computer and internet is fine).
      - virtual music lessons
      - artist management
      - social media management for artists
      - studio musician (this would take some hardware/software)
I could go on but really it will all depend on you NOT believing you are so limited in life that you can’t have what you want.

I’ve played my fair share of video games. And I normally would only spend a good share of my “life” playing only one game at a time. My Halo era or my Fortnite Era or my CoD era even tho my friends always wanted to switch between games. That always bothered me for this same reason: whenever I switched, I had to “get back into” that game’s mode. What I mean by that is that each game is fundamentally different. Fortnite’s controls are different than halo’s, which are different than CoD’s. Not only does it take time to switch back and forth relearning a game you already know multiple times an evening, but you are constantly destroying your progress in your last game by moving into another game that doesn’t have the same control, that has building elements, that is shield based, that is slow paced or fast paced, that is team based, etc. getting good at one thing helps you be far better than someone who can’t make up their mind. The business analogy is masterful.
