So in the given example of switchboard if I need to check it on CMM how I would check it?
In my opinion I would locate both hole separately to ABC
Then move my coordinate system 50 basic from - C- to first
hole and check both hole to positional
tolerance of 2mm using basic 50 from -B-
Please clarify I am new to CMM

      Hi,
A quick reply because a separate CMM inspection video is shortly arriving.
Your first part of inspection procedure is full correct.
In next part it should allow to translate the group freely in pattern locating tolerance zone frame i.e. in 10 mm tolerance zone. Translating to 50 basic would not allow this.
I recommend to find a feature in CMM software of composite position tolerance where the group will best fit the situation and result the actuals.
Or wait for some time if direct feature is not available. You will get a perfect cmm inspect video on it
Thanks for watching the video and asking questions.
Also suggest any other topics you want a videos.
By the way which software you are using.
If you share your email id then would try to send you help document directly of the software making customised.
      Regards and Merry Christmas 🎄

      I am using MCosmos
Yes I meant to make first hole zero in direction of -C- so coordinate is not related to -C-
I do not have luxury of cad model
Mostly I have parts with plane as primary datum and holes for other datum’s
Thanks for all of your help
