I spent so many years of my life under the spell of cigarettes, depression and severe ptsd. Gained my freedom with the help of nature using mushroom (psilocybin) precisely. After my experience with shrooms five years ago every cigarette I lit up tasted like literal poison. I would take one hit and put out the cigarette. I haven't smoked since, no more depressive mood and ptsd. Few doses of shroom experience made a 15 year 2 pack a day smoker quit instantly. Shrooms are life changing. There is no way you can put into words what it feels like..
I love hearing great life changing stories like this. I want to become a mycologist because honestly mushrooms are the best form of medicine (most especially the psychedelic ones) There are so many people today used magic mushrooms to ween off of SSRI medication- its amazing! Years back i wrote an entire essay about psychedelics. they saved you from death buddy, lets be honest here.

It took me several tries over a couple of years (oh, yeah). On my last try I used the nicotine patch which reduced the craving a lot. I still smoked once in awhile on the patch but it gave me a pounding headache, so there was a painful incentive not to backslide. Ultimately, what kept me off tobacco was taking it one day at a time, having supportive friends who respected my desire to quit, and avoiding friends who smoked. After a year, I was able to hang out with my smoking friends again.

I just thought that must be the most horrible way for a persons life to end. That was about a week ago, and I haven't smoked since. Every time a get a craving I think of that dying man.
Well, its more like of a genetics problem, for example people with weak lungs can and if they smoke can have a good chance of getting cancer and the opposite goes for those who has strong lungs
Smoking kills. Smoking is just like addiction to smokers. Our lungs have protections which let not germs and other dust particles let inside in. Our wind pipe contains ciliary hair which acts as brush and prevents germs from getting in. If smoke entered it burns ciliary hair which is completely unable to work. And much mucus is released as cough. Alveoli shaped also damaged and also capillaries ruins

I quit 31 years ago after having smoked for 18 years (2 packs a day). It was the BEST thing I ever did in my life. Think about it......you are drawing poisonous smoke into your life-giving lungs....it simply does not make sense.
If you haven't gotten cancer I don't think there's any way you can understand what cancer patients go through. Physically, emotionally and financially, it drains every bit of life in you. My granddad had cancer so also my dad and to crown it all he was a heavy smoker. I knew it was only a matter of time before I got it so I was as careful as I could be with my health. I did everything necessary to avoid this, but my hope was shattered when I was rushed to the ER on the 2017 of January, my scans came out positive. Further testing showed I had Stage 4 Small Cell Lung Cancer which had spread to some lymph nodes and adrenal gland. Chemotherapy wasn't an option cause my dad used this and still lost his battle. I hate when I read from some random sites that baking soda cures cancer like really???? I read about how people went to Mexico for alternative cancer treatment and I was keen to it. Luckily a colleague at work that had gone to Mexico for breast cancer told me about a herbalist doctor that use herbs and diet protocol to clear her cancer. I was already interested in holistic treatment to fight this. So I contacted the herbalist via Skype and his email. He went through my scans and bloodworks then placed me on an anti cancer diet as he called it and also sent some herbs which he called Apollo essential oil and tea (he mentioned he extracted a special carrier oil from the herbs) to me from Mexico to the US. My spirit was in tune with this all these time and I always believed I could defeat this. The herbalist also tried working on my mindset as well and encouraged me in my journey. I was on this for about 7 months. It's been over a year now and I've been in remission, my oncologist said "I don't know what you did I don't want to know either as we don't accept miracles in my practice, but just keep doing want you're doing". I know this will help someone struggling with this as it as helped me, here is the herbalist Skype and contact email: drehimenherbal@gmail.com
Congrats to Nucleus 3D animations- and Oprah for helping to educate the public on the ill effects of smoking- seems there can never be too much airplay for medical subjects like this.
Just try to hang in there. I finally quit 3 years ago. I'm 40 now and had smoked since my early teens. I tried gums, patches and pills.... no luck. Cold turkey sounds horrific to a smoker, but that's what worked for me. I think that the nicotine replacement products help keep you addicted to nicotine. I wish there was a magic pill... I would have used it a long time ago. Good Luck!
That's great! Your addiction is all psychological now, so just take it one day at a time, stay on the gum, and avoid the situations where you used to smoke, especially those involving alcohol. If possible, hang out with supportive friends who don't smoke. Stay strong, you can do it!!
Everybody knows that smoking causes cancer and heart disease-- But this isn't what killed my Mom. COPD has been talked about more in the past few years. This is a disease that makes it hard to get all of the air out of your lungs, thus making it hard to get air in... Making it difficult to breath -- This was only an accomplice in the murder of my mother. Something nobody really talks about, and the thing that actually took my mother is called PAD, Peripheral artery disease. The chemicals in Cigarettes cause your veins and arteries to constrict. Eventually this causes them to begin to collapse and you begin to loose circulation-- especially to your arms and legs. In the past 9 months, it began to happen to Mom. All of a sudden moms legs began to swell and get ugly, painful blisters. This is because fluids that go into the legs couldn't get out (the veins had deteriorated too far). These blisters, not able to get enough oxygen (because the COPD, and poor circulation) ulcerated... Even though we were seeing a doctor and using very expensive medicine, the wounds just weren't getting better. The thing about wounds that don't heal, and that aren't getting the nutrients they need, is that the tissue begins to die... they also don't get the healing factors that fight everyday bacteria. In a shorter time that you could possibly imagine, Mom's wounds got infected, and she had to go to the hospital. They were able to surgically remove the dead tissue from her legs (without having to amputate), but unfortunately for everybody who knew Mom, the bacteria that had invaded was mostly resistant to drugs. A resistant Bacteria, COPD not allowing enough healing Oxygen, and a circulatory system that didn't allow for delivery of healing factors created a perfect storm. Cigarettes killed my Mom at 1pm on March 16th, 2020. It wasn't Cancer. It wasn't Heart Disease. It wasn't a stroke or heart attack (Although, cigarettes are responsible for these in others.) My mom was killed the PAD with COPD as a secondary factor. Cigarettes are bad. Everybody kinda knows this. It's your own personal choice, if you smoke, please consider stopping. I don't know if stopping would have saved my moms life 9 months ago... the damage had begun. But a year ago... She knew they were bad... Three years ago... Maybe the COPD wouldn't have been so bad that her lips sometime turned blue... All I know, if my Mother had never smoked cigarettes she wouldn't have died yesterday.

That's great! Your addiction is all psychological now, so just take it one day at a time, stay on the gum, and avoid the situations where you used to smoke, especially those involving alcohol. If possible, hang out with supportive friends who don't smoke.
Stay strong, you can do it!!
Hi here.Are you still alive?

Long Terms Effects Of Suffering
Everybody knows that smoking causes cancer and heart disease-- But this isn't what killed my Mom.
COPD has been talked about more in the past few years. This is a
disease that makes it hard to get all of the air out of your lungs, thus
making it hard to get air in... Making it difficult to breath -- This
was only an accomplice in the murder of my mother.
Something nobody really talks about, and the thing that actually took my mother is called PAD, Peripheral artery disease.
The chemicals in Cigarettes cause your veins and arteries to constrict.
Eventually this causes them to begin to collapse and you begin to
loose circulation-- especially to your arms and legs.
In the
past 9 months, it began to happen to Mom. All of a sudden moms legs
began to swell and get ugly, painful blisters. This is because fluids
that go into the legs couldn't get out (the veins had deteriorated too
far).
These blisters, not able to get enough oxygen (because the
COPD, and poor circulation) ulcerated... Even though we were seeing a
doctor and using very expensive medicine, the wounds just weren't
getting better.
The thing about wounds that don't heal, and that
aren't getting the nutrients they need, is that the tissue begins to
die... they also don't get the healing factors that fight everyday
bacteria.
In a shorter time that you could possibly imagine,
Mom's wounds got infected, and she had to go to the hospital. They were
able to surgically remove the dead tissue from her legs (without having
to amputate), but unfortunately for everybody who knew Mom, the
bacteria that had invaded was mostly resistant to drugs.
A
resistant Bacteria, COPD not allowing enough healing Oxygen, and a
circulatory system that didn't allow for delivery of healing factors
created a perfect storm.
Cigarettes killed my Mom at 1pm on March
16th, 2020. It wasn't Cancer. It wasn't Heart Disease. It wasn't a
stroke or heart attack (Although, cigarettes are responsible for these
in others.) My mom was killed the PAD with COPD as a secondary factor.
Cigarettes are bad. Everybody kinda knows this. It's your own personal choice, if you smoke, please consider stopping.
I don't know if stopping would have saved my moms life 9 months ago...
the damage had begun. But a year ago... She knew they were bad...
Three years ago... Maybe the COPD wouldn't have been so bad that her
lips sometime turned blue...
All I know, if my Mother had never smoked cigarettes she wouldn't have died yesterday.
I smoked liked a year but it’s time to stop
