Sir you have helped me a lot sir during my exams time. Your explonation is very goood and clear. Keep maintian that sir. You are one of the best teacher in my study career. I was scared about this subject and i found you on youtube. Now i learned lot of subject. Thank you very much sir.
thank you for this in-depth explanation of the des algorithm. i hate it when there are these "explanation" videos that use some analogies, wave their hands, have all these flashy and well-made but distracting animations, and avoid maths as if it were fire, and in the end leave you as clueless about the thing that you came to understand as you were before you started to watch the video. i very much prefer your style: a smart man with a marker in his hand, a white board on his wall, and a few printed diagrams and tables, throwing all that detailed, well-thought explanation of the complicated topic at hand at you, forcing you to think, and rewatch, and think again, and feel dumb sometimes, but in the end, once you're done with the topic, it doesn't just make you feel like you've learnt something, you know you've learnt something, because you can feel the pain of it sinking in your head. and it is so satisfying. now i actually know how this des algorithm works! thanks!
Thank you so much for such an in-depth and clear explanation. You explained it all in one take and it was nice and steady. Thanks. Keep on spreading education and help engineers like us!

Thank you sir for your time. Teachers like you deserve a good teaching position in colleges with handsome salary. I will really help me in my exams. Thanks again!
Very helpful... thanks alot...it would be better if you would have given example of 1 complete round ..i understand 16 rounds would have been too complex but example of 1 round would make it more easy to understand...But again thanks alot sir you explained very good.
Awesome lecture no words for it , I confused with my book (forouzan ) to understand it , sir you play a very important role in my concept .I found your cryptography lecture is awesome now I can read my book again for better understanding , thank you sir keep doing...such great job.
Dear Sundeep it is requested to kindly add lecture of examples of DES. As it will be helpful to understand DES concepts better.I would suggest to include a video series in which every algo example is explained only like DES,AES etc. (Question answers as it will be helpful for us in Examinations.) Here we get the concept but how we will tackle Questions in Exams is an issue.
Amazing sir . very good explanation . Can you make a video explaining Galois field , polynomials and solved problems on Gf(2^8) in cryptography and network security . It will be very very helpful . Thank you .

Dear Sundeep Saradhi Kanthety Nice Lecture on DES and understandable... if you also post the decryption it may help more to the followers... Anyway I have some clarifications on the DES Encryption 1. Permutation: in what transposition cipher the permutation is carried out? 2. is there any order or formula to fill the s-boxes? 3. differentiate permutation and inverse permutation? 4. why it is 8 s-boxes? Any reason. For question 1 and 2, if there is no proper method or technique is to be followed means... How this can be noted for Decryption in receiver side... Hope you understand my questions...

Sir Thank you very much for brief explanation. One doubt. The values shown in the S1-box table are always the same or can we change as per the DES implementation ? Please let me know.
hi kousika s1-box table can be filled such that every row should consists of numbers from 0 to 15 with out any repetition. so we need not follow the same. thanks for your interest towards our channel and share my sessions with your friends and subscribe to our channel.Keep following our channel.
hi Ankita thanks for your interest towards our channel and share my sessions with your friends and subscribe to our channel.Keep following our channel.
That was amazing video explaining every detail of the DES. Thanks alot! Sir, I do have 1 question, I will be very grateful if you can help me out for solving the problem. Problem: 1 (a) Let k = 111...111 be the DES key consisting of all 1s. Show that if DESk(P) = C, then DESk(C) = P, so encrypting twice with this key returns the plaintext. (b) Find another key with the same property as k in part (a).
sir it was a perfect video from which a person with 0 knowledge can also understand the concept and make it to 100%
Looking forward to Learn More . Happy Learning !!

how is 56 bit key converted to 48 bit key with Permuted choice 2 table ? which bits are dropped ?
Great
64 bit input is given to permuted choice 2 then it gives 56 bits output, now it is divided into Lk -28 bit and Rk -28 bit ,SO My doubt is it is divided before LCS OR after LCS

after dividing into two 28 bits then we have to apply LCS.

Sir Thank you very much for brief explanation.

The values shown in the S1-box table are always the same or can we change as per the DES implementation ?

Sir, I do have 1 question, I will be very grateful if you can help me out for solving the problem.
Problem:
1
(a) Let k = 111...111 be the DES key consisting of all 1s. Show that if DESk(P) =
C, then DESk(C) = P, so encrypting twice with this key returns the plaintext.
(b) Find another key with the same property as k in part (a).
