I love this foundation came across it a few ago. It's worth the money and the color match was spot on.
I use the IL MAKIAGE "After Party" formula exclusively. I'm 63 years old, have tried every dang foundation under the sun, and I've settled on this one. It definitely works for me! I tried the "Woke Up Like This," and it was too thin for me also. You both look beautiful, btw, and I'm glad you're back TT!! ❤😊

@BEATFACEHONEY yes, a creamier texture for sure. I have severe hyperpigmentation on my left cheek and under my chin, and it covers it and lasts all day!!!!!

I'm so thankful for this video. I'm an OG follower so you know I missed the makeup videos. But I also love the Wegovy info because I also take Mounjaro injections. Funny thing is though, I took a Illmakiage quiz this morning because I've been toying around the thought of trying the foundation. But every time I take the quiz, I get a different result. That worries me so I never order. I love L'Oreal True Match but since I'm older and severely dry and can be patchy, I prefer the Lumi. It just seems to add a youthfulness to the skin. My Mother looks about 30 years younger when she wears it. I've never tried the regular True Match on her. She might like that since she has oily skin. And in my opinion, the True Match looked better overall on camera on you both. Even your neighbor's skin looked less porous on camera with the True Match. Thanks for this! I'm ready for more!!! ❤

I love IL Makage. That is my staple foundation. I love it. I am very dark-skinned, and so for me, it still can be hard still in 2023 for darker skinned people, but still, it has comed a long way.
I like the Loreal as well.
Wow. I'm so glad to hear your opinion on the two foundations. I use Loreal True Match and recently purchased IL Makiage, and I did not like the coverage of it. I know it's buildable make-up, but for some reason doing that made my face itch. Overall, I've decided to stick with Loreal True Match. Thanks for the tip on M·A·C Studio Finish Concealer. That I will try next. BTW: I like you both in the True Match.
Agree with the 'Woke Up Like This'....too thin for my 46 yr old skin. Additionally, I bought and used the Il Makiage primer under it. My pores still stood out and my face looked cakey. For my face, Clinque Even Better continues to be my favorite.
I bought Il Makiage years ago when they first started, it wasn’t as expensive as now. I think it was about 38 dollars. My first match was so so yellow. The second match was spot on. It was pretty average I thought, I’m going to try true match next! Thanks for the video ❤

I wore IL Makiage foundation a few years ago, it felt thick on my skin, however I love the the concealer. My foundation match was a tad dark, the concealer was perfect.

I love IL Makiage’s foundation but I I agree with you in that the concealer isn’t thick enough.
For me- I was hesitant to by Ilmakiage simply bc of the price point.
Though I DO know my natural color and undertone, the online quiz anyway”recommended” what I should have purchased.
I was nervous about it- looking much more darker in the winter thanI am used to.
The one thing that I found about it was, though initially it may seem too deep/dark; it does even out and one coat is more than enough. Which for me= exactly what I need
As far as lasting power? It does last longer than anything else I’ve used as long as I set it correctly.
However, I am 1000% certain there are drugstore knock off which cost me a whole lot less but I do have to touch up more.
The one thing I can say about this product versus any other product is literally the one coat.
I have an off/off color skin-tone. I am mixed, but I am also a light skinned, auburned hair girl….
(which changes with the season).
Still, as many times, as I have bought high priced items from pretty much every brand you can think of; only the ilmakiage actually matched my color & lasts all day.
Like the first girl, maybe because of my skin tone/mixed heritage; some days I can have super dark under eye circles. Sometimes it’s correctable, either via color cream correct or or a liquid concealer.
Some days, the foundation and concealer are perfectly perfect. I would say try it out. It depends on you.

I bet your husband has never been overweight. *(skinny-heffa! lol)* You will just never understand the discrimination. This is why I empathize so with the trans and gay community because you *ALWAYS* have to be on guard in protective mode. People who've never had this struggle know *NOTHING* about it so I understand the tears in the car. I also understand not eating more than anyone else, or not eating at all, or having a pig-out day sometimes like anyone else, but your eating habits are like most people, some of us are as active or more yet we still struggle with the extra weight they don't carry. I found the Il mackiage foundation too oily for me, and it sets different to when I first put it on, it's more yellow after it settles. It's great at first, but doesn't stay that way. I do love the True Match better.

I feel like both of those IlMakiage colors were not as natural or looked like the wrong shade. I tried the IlMakiage as well and was disappointed in both color and feel (too heavy.) True match though is my jam!

I felt the same with IM, it wasn’t as full coverage as they advertise. That’s really my old negative, and of course the price, but they do send free items each time I get a shipment so it makes it end up more like $40 a bottle which is still a more than the drug store brands but it’s at least not $80 😅

I just recently ordered mine can’t wait to get mine and try.Why didn’t u try to apply it with a brush instead of the sponge? I personally don’t like using a sponge,but I feel u should try the brush or your fingers and see if u see a difference.Also idk if u tried the nyx lift and snatch eyebrow pencil?I love it and will not use any other .Thanks for the review
Thanks for this question! I didn't use the brush because I never use a brush to apply foundation. Kelly did get the brush though, so I was able to look at it and feel it's density. It's decent, but not unlike brushes that I already have. My preference has always been to use a beauty blender because it covers a more large surface and doesn't streak. I always prefer to press the makeup into the skin rather than swipe it across. If you prefer a brush though, they send you the bush for free if you sign up for the "subscribe and save" option. Otherwise, I believe it's $45.
@@BEATFACEHONEY thanks for clarifying I will try it the way u mentioned ,but if I end up not like ILmakeup I use Phoera foundation powder and I love this one too .Very interesting video I have been taking ozempic for years and didn’t know it does this cause I wasn’t losing weight,but now I feel like since I have lost a massive amount of weight in a short period of time after my skin removal I can see now the difference how your body metabolizes food differently for me.I hope this continues to work for u and always do your blood work frequently with the product as well ,u doin all the right things.Take your measurements and all.I didn’t even realize I was losing so much weight til clothes wouldn’t fit anymore and people were really starting to notice.Now I’m a size 10-12 which I haven’t been this size for over 20 years!You are so beautiful person and keep up the good work and again thanks for sharing your info💕
I found IL Makiage to be cakey and it doesn't mix well. Lots of other people are saying the same thing on reddit. I wonder about the honesty of these positive reviews. Are they paying you?

Il Makiage actually has the option to get a foundation that has more coverage. Perhaps you chose the one that has more of the natural look.

Once you order ILMAKIAGE, its impossible to stop them from sending it and charging your card. No customer service number or anything.

I really don't like the Il Makiage foundation. They didn't get my color the first time so they sent another and told me I could keep the other for no charge. I was so disappointed with this foundation! I was looking forward to having a lifechanging moment like the ladies in the ads. It feels so heavy on my skin. It is cakey and patchy. I can't wait to take it off when I get home because it is just so uncomfortable on my skin. It also makes me break out. So now I have 2 bottles of this stuff that I will rarely if ever use.

Ehhh this is an understandable take on the situation but also remember she was on camera, possibly nervous and just did and said the first thing that came to mind.
There are so many emotions going through your head when filming a video and sometimes you don't take the time to fully think out what to do because you are pressured to react immediately.

I don’t get it? I’m being sincere here. Isn’t makeup intended to help hide imperfections, conceal issues we don’t care for? I mean concealer, it’s in the name of the product. And to enhance or play up what we do like. For instance, I started wearing foundation a few years ago because as I have gotten older my complexion is not as even. The area around my nose is very pink, I am starting to really notice discoloration on my cheekbones. Basically very uneven. So my question is, why would YOU ever put foundation, then concealer, then powder over your ABSOLUTELY flawless skin? if I had skin like you do, I would kiss my parents, and give praise and thanks to Jesus. Your makeup routine should be 5-15 min tops depending on the occasion. You are probably very fast given your experience. Time is not really my point. You are literally covering perfection. I’m being sincere when I ask, do you not see it that way? We are our worst critic. Nobody could ever say any negative to me I haven’t thought myself about my appearance. But I’m here to tell you… you don’t need any kind of foundation, concealer, or powder! Period. I’m not trying to give you a compliment for attention. I’m begging you to hear what I’m saying. Your skin is what the rest of us who actually need or want it to perform the job in which it was intended. You are starting out with flawless, your just covering it up. God bless beautiful lady.
