- The climate activist group Just Stop Oil has been a frustrating fixture across the globe in recent times.
The group of young protesters make it their sole purpose to cause as much disruption and chaos as possible to draw attention to their cause.
For years, Just Stop Oil and other climate activist groups have enjoyed a free run. Everyday citizens and even the police have been too scared to put an end to their stunts for fear of being canceled or labeled climate deniers.
But, people have had enough. Ordinary citizens are stepping in where the police won’t, forcibly removing protesters from blocking streets and finally holding these pests to account.

For the blocked roads, do they think about people who work? Plumbers, construction workers, or paramedics? Emergency cases like child labour or heart attack? They have better things to do than giving time and attention to those people.
And look at the clip at the theaters. In the crowd, you may have people who want to enjoy their day off after a good week of work, and it is interrupted. The people do not have to accept that.

Here in Northern Nevada we had a group of these Morons block the road to the Burning Man event. The police arrested all of them and their names were published in our local paper. It turned out that zero of these Morons came from Nevada. So unless they came via horse, they all used oil to stage a protest against using oil. Total hypocrites.

This is the kind of lazy argument I made when I was 18 and edgy. They aren't trying to get single people to change but instead the system. They used a bit of oil, yes, but they got their message out there effectively because you are talking about it. You may disagree with their methods, but what are you doing about climate change (if you even believe in it).

True story: an overseas friend of mine missed out on an important meeting because of roadblocks, and then recognized a neighbor several streets away. He talked to other people, one thing led to another and in the end they had an industrial container placed right in front of the protesters house, effectively blocking his frontdoor. You could still get in if you squeezed through, but that was about it.
Lo and behold: all of a sudden it was all "different". Blocking other people and preventing them to get home or go to work is one thing, but blocking _him_ from entering his home was an outrage! Hypocrisy ruled supreme. The police were called, the neighbors said that "mistakes" were made but as soon as the police realized that this was one of those road blockers they stopped caring: "as long as this conflict gets resolved by tomorrow, DON'T make us come back, ok?".
The neighbor became the laughing stock of the neighborhoor: "Mr. hypocrite".

I used to teach environmental science and ecology in a natural resources management program. As far as I know, I never had a single environmental activist show up to take one of my classes. Activists don't want to be informed because information just gets in the way of their dogma. They also are lazy and can't be bothered to do the hard work it takes to assess and preserve wildlife habitat while also working to produce the sustainable resources needed for humanity to survive at our current population level. While the "environmental activists" in my area were firebombing car dealerships, chaining themselves to things, and spiking trees trying to kill loggers, my students were out fighting wildfires, surveying and working to improve stream habitat, re-planting wetlands and forests, and raising and stocking native fish.
The funny thing is that most enviormentalists don't care about nature. They are just told that it is important. If made to life in the past they worship, they'd probably loose their minds, protesting in other things like self-preservational human instinct until they ultimately are whipped out. Even cavemen had a level of technology, it is what made humanity advance. The planet has been trough thousands of cataclysms before us, I don't we're that much of a hindrance towards a self-repearing organism that had blind luck to even be what it is nowadays

I’m so angry at the protesters disrupting the Les Misérables show. People from all over the world come to London to watch musicals, which themselves aren’t cheap. Other countries they're merely locked up for a long time to reflect on their actions (like destruction of property/vandalism). I've worked security at a number of protests over the years. I've met some really nice ppl, and also the absolute dregs of society. It takes all types. BUT. There is a way of protesting properly. Chucking paint over artworks, stopping traffic, etc. is NOT how you do it. You win ppl over with defined, well articulated arguments, not destruction.......
