That tassel is probably of austrian origin. The double headed eagle is the crest of the House of Habsburgs and the monogram F. J. stands for Franz Josef, emperor and king (Kaiser und König)

Hilarious map animation. The " small town of Kilmarnock" isn't small and is in the west of Scotland, in North Ayrshire. This map put it just outside Edinburgh, (on the east coast, in Midlothian.) And over seventy miles from Kilmarnock LOL.
Love watching. Been to Conway and a few other places. appreciate antiques showing age, having soul.
Those tassels belonged to some really big knockers.
The embroidery on the tassels you showed looked like the sign for pie.....

Love this programme but one thing I don't get is fuel and wages for Tee means Drew has to buy a number of items to make the journey profitable. More often or not he only buys 1 or 2 things. The sums don't add up.

That is one great antique handcarved bench. For sure collectors will buy it at £5,000 or more. No wonder Drew gets richer everyday. He buys so cheaply from clueless owners

These houses are laughable, they got the money mostly off the backs of poor people, now they get money again off people to maintain them, still keep the 600 acres as well. Love the show
