She was at a SAFE HAVEN hospital like... out of all the places to get help, she was in the exact right place... and yet couldn't just have her mom leave the room and tell the nurses what the deal was. Also that mom should be absolutely ashamed of herself for making her child feel like she had to lie/hide a pregnancy. This whole thing makes me sick

Whats weird is that she denied being pregnant but she was in her cheerleading outfit with a huge pregnant belly. Whats sad is that her Mom believed her. Some people are just in denial. This happen to my family as well when my sister got pregnant and everyone in the family noticed that she might be pregnant but didn't confront her and we were just thinking that she might be gaining weight. We're lucky that my sister told us about the pregnancy 2 months before giving birth and we told her that we already noticed it, we are just waiting for her to tell us. On this case, I think Alexi's mom is so controlling to her daughter and that's probably the reason why Alexi decided to hide her pregnancy. Can't blame Alexi however she needs to face the consequences of her actions.

Anyone whose watched Lexee's arrest has witnessed the mother acting belligerent and argumentative whilst threatening the police and the hospital staff who were actually SO KIND and softly softly to her daughter. Despite that she had commitment the most heinous act. My sense is Lexee is a very young 19 year old and under some sort of constant duress from her mother. It just seems so obvious based on her palpable fear. There are NO excuses for what Lexee did, but her mother is a cold hard fish who didn't even ask about her grandson (the stepfather was thr only one that seemed to). I would like to see lexee restart a life away from her alledgedly horrible, fundamentalist, narcisstic mother after serving an appropriate term of punishment for her little boy.

She was also 19 and also felt deathly afraid of her mom finding out she'd had sex. Until Casey came clean in month 7, Cindy made excuses for Casey to anyone who inquired about Casey's protruding belly. I personally think, but of course do not know for a fact, that Cindy knew her daughter Casey was pregnant before being told. But Cindy jumped right into the delusional rabbit hole with Casey and helped her hide and deny being pregnant.

She really pit on a good act and I believe she already was going to make sure her life would not be impacted by having this baby. She lied and lied and did what she did because she wasn't scared as the scene was a gory mess. She may have panicked but all she had to do was open the door. Her own mother was right there to help her as was all the hospital staff. What she did in the bathroom was not an act of immaturity but a calculated effort. She needs to come to grips with what she did and needs to accept adult consequences. Her mother is a hawk and she had to highly suspect the pregnancy but wanted to hear it from her daughter even when they were told the urine test was positive. Her mother's interrogation of her daughter in the er room was not in her daughters best interest but she has changed her tone now that her daughter has been charged. That’s right. These women who throw away their newborns in the trash are cold blooded and cruel. They don’t think of these babies as humans. She kept calling the baby, “Nothing” and repeating “nothing was crying”. Then she goes in a short dress to the prom. As if nothing happened. She apparently told her friends that she gained weight because of the birth control pill. There is another, Alexis that threw her baby in the trash. It’s Alexis Avila. I think both of these girls live in New Mexico. Alexis Avila threw her baby in a big dumpster but didn’t realize that there were cameras behind the JC Penny building. It was disgusting to see her throw that garbage bag with the baby in it into that trash. She looks as cold as she is. I can’t believe he was still breathing after 6 hours in the freezing cold when the dumpster divers found him. She also saw her baby as nothing when she repeatedly called him, “It”. When she was being sentenced, she said that “She loved him so much”. How? The baby went to the young father and he wasn’t giving her visitation. I wonder what this Alexee is going to say next.

Without a doubt this should be a first degree murder charge. The really sad thing (besides the homicide of a baby) is Alexee was 18. At ANY time she could have confided in the ER staff what was going on, told them she did not want her Mother in the room with her, and they would have escorted her Mother out of the room into a waiting room. The same thing could have happened after she gave birth in the bathroom. Instead of chewing at the umbilical cord to detach it (absolutely horrifying to imagine), ripping her placenta into smaller pieces to flush, and walking out of a blood-covered restroom as if nothing happened, she could have alerted the staff to the birth, they would have immediately taken the baby, and she could have told them she did not want him and would like to relinquish all of her rights as a parent so he could be adopted. At no time could her Mother have accessed any of her hospital records since Alexee is an adult. IT WAS THAT EASY yet she chose to murder her son and walk out of that bathroom, and back into the ER room like nothing happened until she was confronted. There are ZERO excuses for her actions and behavior, she knew right from wrong whether she was "afraid" of her Mother or not, and she should be sentenced to life in prison.

Yes, absolutely, she is guilty. I'm due this mid-August, and there's no way she did not know she was pregnant unless it was a still birth. The baby moves, kicks, pushes, and protrudes all throughout the belly, no matter how big or small the baby is. She was hiding it because she was scared of her mom. She hid it all the way until the end. Even when she was alone in the bathroom, away from her mom, she never once asked a nurse for help. She was a 19 year old adult that gave birth in secret and went searching in that bathroom for supplies she could use to kill that baby (she tied him up in a trash bag and he suffocated), then put him at the BOTTOM of the trash can and stuffed napkins and other trash bags on top of him. She knew what she was doing was wrong, and she thought she would get away with it. Being scared of your mom is not an excuse for murder, especially at 19. She needs to be held responsible. Stop giving these little cheerleaders, "I'm not having sex," lying axs girls' previlege to get away with stuff like this. She killed that baby in a fxcking HOSPITAL of all places. The one place he could be saved, but she didn't want him to be saved because she didn't want him.

Thank goodness there is so much video of this showing her not caring about what she just did to her newborn son. This was so well done! You always make your videos with such grace and dignity. My parents would have forbidden me to go anywhere except for school if I had done what she did. Hope she enjoyed her time at those events bc she is facing a lengthy prison sentence. She definitely is not held accountable by anyone in her life. Sickening to think she isn’t ashamed in the slightest of her actions. She is going to get a HUGE wake up call when she is prison.

Alexi thought she had gotten away with hiding her pregnancy the entire nine months and thought she could continue her deception by locking herself in the bathroom and putting that baby in the hospital trash. And after the nurses got wise she was taking too long in the bathroom and threatened to unlock it, why didn’t alarm bells ring when they found blood everywhere? They should have had an inkling it was related to delivering the baby and they should have looked in the only place in that bathroom where a baby could be hidden….the trash can. They knew she was acting strange and even said she was manipulative. I’m a nurse and I would have checked everything in that bathroom. I mean come on, they said blood was everywhere and even had to get housekeeping to clean it up. That blood was a huge red flag, no pun intended. They should have been worried enough, at the very minimum, to immediately examine Alexi (and I mean vaginally) to rule out hemorrhaging.

Funny that the lawyer wants her to be shown the common human decency she failed to show her own son.
She could have pulled the cord and gotten help. She could have let staff in. She openly admitted she was “scared” to tell anyone she was pregnant or what happened. I’m 24 weeks, 2 days pregnant (6 months) and I realized I was pregnant before I was even out of my 4th week. She knew what she was doing, she knew what the results would be, now she’s only trying to cover her own behind.

edit: my mom had me when she was a teenager. And She told me herself that her mother (my grandmother) was very against them having sexual activity…all that normal stuff a parent will be worried about….as it seems this mother was in the video. Two different outcomes. Because that girl did the WRONG thing, and she KNEW it.

In the rural areas in the Philippines, the people don't discuss sex and reproduction since they're very old fashioned. We're supposed to get the reproduction lecture at Grade 6 in school. Some 13-15 year old girls get pregnant by 30-50 year old men and their families are just glad the men are marrying their daughters after that. Cue my eyes rolling so hard it's a wonder they are staying in their sockets.

Pretty much all of the people involved in this situation (Alexee, her mom, her boyfriend) all appear to have a pathological inability to take responsibility for anything. All of them had to be well aware of the pregnancy, but they all kept kicking the can down the road hoping the situation would somehow resolve itself. The mother's only question about the baby was how big he was and she was clearly shocked to learn it was full term. I think the hope was that Alexee would miscarry and everyone could pretend the pregnancy had never happened. Not a single one of them seemed to consider themselves responsible for anything that occurred and are just flabbergasted at the idea that they can be held accountable.
