This 63 year old man, who grew up listening to Floyd, Genesis, Yes, et. al. was just turned on to this band by his 28 year old daughter. Damnit, I been missing out on some quality music all this time. Looking forward to discovering the rest from this band.

I feel for you, last may I did the same for "shinewalker" she used to go to domefest and was always at sunshine daydream in Terra Alta it's nice to see that someone else got to do that for their friend. It felt like a bad dream at her funeral and the only redeeming thing I could think to do to make it better was to change the music from weird funeral music to grateful dead. The music really set the tone for celebrating her life instead of mourning. RIP Amanda Mcdonald 😢I miss and love you daily and wish I was in the right mind to think to play you some papadosio too♥

I went to college with the keyboardist of Papadosio! I love this song so much, makes it extra special to know I shared space with these incredible people 🙏🏽
This was me and my girls song when I was young. She painted me a canvas of two seahorses intertwined kissing above red rocks and gave it to me for my birthday. She said the seahorses were me and her. When she dumped me a year later I couldnt look at the painting on my wall. I ended up giving it to a hobo who put it up in his tent. I always think of that when I hear this song.

But there's a subtle emptiness in the silence between notes that the sound is structured around, the melody is beating around the bush, dancing on the edges of a scary question. And that question is; "Did this make you happy?" And the answer (unfortunately) more often than not is, "No."
I think that's more cause you're missing something in life. Take a day to meditate and think about what makes you happy. Hope you figure out whatever that is.
I have a friend who loves ‘dosio but feels the exact same way. He feels beauty in some songs and darkness in others, but that’s music for ya! Good music can make people feel different things and there’s nothing wrong with feelings of sadness, emptiness, loneliness, etc… All part of the human experience and it’s perfectly normal and awesome to feel that way from music. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise!
