My single most favorite peace of DNB created. The old BSE are what got me into this type of music, I like their newer stuff, but come on, this is where it's at !
fullmetalbg, so true, I love the fact they've never sold out, but at the same time if they carried on making tunes this heavy that don't translate well to dancefloors, they probably wouldn't have been able to continue doing what they do! I literally saw this tune clear a dance floor of people bopping along to Pendulum etc, they just can't deal with the aggression, complexity and unique dark sound. Although I agree, the old BSE is legendary and better, this tune in particular alongside The Sun, Dark Girl, B Negative and to a certain extent, Bomb Run (the heaviest dnb tune ever made). All those tunes send a shiver down my spine. It's so rare to come across musical excellence like this, with no sell out. I have so much respect for them - it's all about the music, not money.
I'm loving the dnb revival we got going on, but this.. I miss this. Those hard, dark tunes that'd have the crowd go absolutely berserk for hours on end. Bittersweet memories.
Im just now discovering it 😌 sound these days is not good enough anymore, so many same samples and same idea in general.. its the reason i started to dig deeper into dnb genre, and oooh man, isnt it beutiful 😈 old ed rush with optical, this bse album, old audio heavy shit, i love it ❤
This is one of the greatest albums of all time and I mean any musical genre. The hooks are addictive and memorable, the drops are massive and amazing, and the mixing is the very best.I know several people who are not real electronic music fans in general, but like this album. I was so psyched when I first found this album that I had to share it and it became one of my friends favorites too and his car stereo plays this loud and bumpin almost every time i ride in his car as a ty for enlightening him to awesomeness. The whole album bumps hard af and no singing, which i can't stand. Also, it's kind of a dark album for lack of a better term.
FINALLY found it. That's the music that actualy made me discover DnB, it was used for a video montage I watched maybe like 10 years ago, and god even today I still think it's my favorite DnB music 😆😆
man, that intro still f*cks so hard. such an evil vibe and the amen break pattern just gets you moving. was privileged to experience BSE live, they f*cking ruled, flawless performance, selection and transitions, wouldn't expect less from one of the GOATs
I have a great memory, watching them play this live and I remember so well how the crowd reacted to it, they went absolutely mad, I realized then how amazing that song is and have such an effect.
First time I heard this song was while watching an EVE Online trailer comprised of actual gameplay footage. It's been BSE all the way ever since...and EVE, as well, to an extent.
From what I can recollect CCP actually approached them to make a track for their upcoming expansion Red Moon Rising which introduced the Titans to the game. The endresult being 'No Other Destiny' - Till date still one of the best trailers EVE ever had and for me BSE's most iconic track. Being a Drum n Basshead since 1998 and having played EVE on and off for years this came as a nice welcome at the time. Still get goosebumps every single time.
The part at 1:51 always makes my spine tingle. It starts small, works it's way up slowly. At 2:12 it kicks into high gear and becomes way more noticable. At the drop it peaks, a rush of endorphins takes over and you've lost me for the next few minutes. This proces repeats itself at 4:25. Pretty sure this is the track that tuned me in to Drum n' Bass in the first place and it's been 90% of my listening-diet ever since. God I love this track.
This tune was used in an EVE Online vid. Loving my DnB and the 1:51 bit I instantly starting playing Eve... For 7 years, still watch that trailer often! :)
I remember buying the digital all those yrs ago when it first came out and it blew my socks off! Darkest tune I’d heard in a long time! (I’ve just bought the 3x LP purely for this tune fudge the rest of the album!) Anyway for me this tune especially the break at 5:31 onwards should have been used Mel Gibson’s “Apocalypto” when they had the eclipse and were cutting off heads and also when chasing him through the jungle 😁 So sick!
i knew i liked BSE but this track really hit the spot amongst others in one of them random youtube playlist explorations..... i mean wow, real rhythm this

WTF are you talking about, DnB revival? Like when you were born? Jungle and Drums happened well before your daddy looked at your mummy and spunkledy
This has to be one of the most energetic and aggressive DnB tracks out there. Definitely part of my Top 10
