Yes its the greatest voice and one of the greatest gospel writers of all time and the writer of this song. She'd take a bit from a commercial and rearrange it into a gospel song. This song has a part that was based on Bach's air

Wow, I was sitting in the balcony at this recording. While I was attending school in Detroit at Marygrove College, a buddy of mine invited me. This brought back so many great memories from that night. As a HUGE Clark Sisters fan, I feel this particular rendition was gospel nostalgia commemorating one of their most incredibly unique hits from the 80’s that was classic Clark Sisters. “Bringing it back home” is one of my favorite projects but honestly... I love all things Clark Sisters. And I’m quickly becoming a fan of your Gospel Sunday Show! Hope u keep it going. My all time favorite female gospel vocalist is Tramaine Hawkins and favorite male vocalist is Daryl Coley! And favorite choir was The Thompson Community Singers. Just FYI😁

These are the vocal bibles of the gospel industry. This song is from 'Finally Karen' first solo album (the one who sang the main leads) back in 1998. She is the youngest of the sisters. Each one is a vocal powerhouse and Twinkie Clark (the one standing next to her) is a gospel ICON who wrote this song as well as all their others. This song was remade from their previous 1986 album, 'Heart and Soul.' Their mother is Dr. Mattie Moss Clark a gospel icon herself. You should definitely listen to Karen's daughter, Kierra Sheard -Kelly....she's a beast! The choir is Tri-City Singers (under the direction of Donald Lawrence), one of the premier choirs of the 90s and even today.

The Clark Sisters are Gospel royalty, the lead here - Karen Clark Sheard, is considered one of the best singers of our generation, renowned for her limitless soprano and complicated runs. The one to her right is Twinkie, she's considered one of the trailblazers of Contemproary Gospel as she wrote songs like this and the Grammy nominated "You Brought The Sunshine", she is also an AMAZING musician ("Queen of the B3 Hammond Organ"). Dorinda (the slim one) is the preacher of group. She has a raspy, jazzy voice and often leads their uptempo material - she's my fave! And then there's Jacky who's warm alto adds so much colour to their blend.
Jesus is not like any drug or chemical substance. Jesus IS Love. It's not a feeling. It Is the relationship that He instills in believers who accept him as Savior And Lord and the obedience to His will that draws us closer to that Love. That's why they sing - Jesus IS a Love song.

This is an old song by Twinkie Clark that was re-arranged by Donald Lawrence. He said they didn’t even really do a sound check before this recording, and they just went w/ the new tempo, and hit his cues. 😐🤯

The Clark Sisters are a vocal bible as the kids like to say, they have inspired so so many singers for soo soo many years and I’m one of them. That natural gift came from God and that talent came from their mother Dr. Mattie Moss Clark.
This was very intimate. Many words were not needed, because all her focus was on this one thing: the incredible love of Jesus, that, when we understand it, brings gratitude from us and love toward Him. So beautiful!

U said it. It's the worship part of praise and worship. Like u said, worship can have a hypnotic feel to it. It is quiet, meditative and restorative. This is time in church when u would see ppl with tears of love and thanksgiving and hands raised to God. My family used the Clark Sisters praise music as an alarm clock when I was growing up. Benn listening every since.

You will have to do your homework ... KAREN Clark-Sheard, was the principle lead, and her more recent projects far exceed this offering, but her sisters, Twinkie Clark, and Dorinda Clark-Cole had incredible solo projects. Those BGV's were done by Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers, another stand alone group that's fierce in their own right, all helped to create that unique sound and experience.

The Clark Sisters were the gospel trend setters of the 80’s-now. When I heard Yuba (sorry her name’s spelled wrong) I heard the Clark Sisters all the way. BTW...What’s the purpose of a love song do, to make you fall more in love with the person you’re in love with...Jesus in this case

I love the admiration and respect people have for our legends, but what people don’t realize is that for Black folks, especially those of us who grew up in church listening to Gospel; this is all the level of musicianship we know! It’s a blessing! PLUS, you can’t sing to the Savior of the world and not expect it to be GREAT! JESUS IS THE 👑 for real!! 🙏🏽✝️

This was 98..from Karen's debut solo album..finally karen..Karen is the baby sister..but a true experience of each one is Twinkies album nothing to lose..you've just experienced a very small sample of true gospel royalty. These ladies are the gold standard...legendary, ironic dont even say it all..and we haven't even started with their mother

Look at the video again because if you really peep you will notice the fact that the choir is not singing at all... the choir comes in ONLY at the END of the song. The point I'm making is Just The Clark Sisters "ALONE" are singing the backgroud vocals. What blows my mind about The Clark Sisters is they're harmony sounds like a "full choir". Did you notice the sisters vocal harmony "sound" is just like a choir? Speak on that because that is one of the this that is magical about they're vocal ability. Truly Gifted beyond comprehension.

This song is off of Karen Clark Sheard's 1997 album "Finally Karen" (which is her first solo album). It is a remake of the song "Jesus is a Love Song" from the Clark Sisters 1986 album "Love & Soul". Donald Lawrence is the genius behind the remake. They are very anointed.

Karen Clark-Sheard (official video is the best to me, it was a live performance without a audience tho because of Covid). So glad I grew up with gospel. That's all I listened to growing up, but then ventured to other genres when I got older. Clark Sisters are legendary. If the were to tour a couple of cities, they'd sell out.

That choir is The Donald Lawrence and The Tri-City Singers. Phenomenal choir along with The phenomenal Clark Sisters. In this video however it was a Karen Clark recording of one of her, her first,I think solo album. This is one of the cuts she invited her sisters on.
The second singer Elbertina “Twinkie” Clark is the vocal, arranger, organist and all around architect to their individual style second only to their mother. Your hearing Twinkies training in their voices.
