It's amazing what it takes to design, build, operate and maintain the scaled down real operating locomotives. Pure enjoyment watching these videos. Thanks!

@@thedoges-dogpuppyv2-341 The BJWRR has a locomotive that is a near 1:1 replica of #1919, the main difference being that the Wildcat's track gauge is two inches wider.

Ironic that this should drop into my in-tray the day after I had been running for the public at the Sheffield Model Engineers here in the UK. Lots of people having a fine day and, yes, there are some fine whistles.

      Why is it ironic?

I love this channel. The fact you record in 4K 60fps is just fantastic. Must take up a lot of space.

Are those engines similar scale to the UK's Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway or a little larger, given that is 15" gauge rather than the 16" of the Whiskey River Railroad?

  • @williambryant5946

I know these locomotives are the same gauge but are they all the same scale? The 1956 seems to be smaller than the 1919 which are both 4-6-2 type locomotives but the locomotive the 1956 is modeled after is larger than what the locomotive 1919 is modeled after. I may be wrong all of this but it just seems like the 1956 is a different scale than the 1919. Please enlighten me to the facts.

At this size many locomotives aren't really built to any specific scale, they're generally their own design
