gosh Jon i have not heard that tone in so long, and so nice to hear it; i know the feeling you had when you played the s2 because the first prs is a love story all its own; you do a nice guitar justice with your gift and i'm thinking the next one will be an s2 custom; i have now bought four prs guitars (2 CU 24s) and two SEs (Santana and Semi hollow), the latter two after hearing you play; so thanks; prs is a magical mystery of indescribable joy when you find that instrument that sings right out of the box; keep bringing us prs lovers your gift by playing their range and i'm sure you will continue to inspire us to go out and buy the best;

I've been have my PRS McCarty for 20 years now. The push pull coil split on mines gives it a very Stratish sound. There is the volume drop but not bad. It is still the most comfortable neck I've played on. Good stuff brother!
I love a PRS Custom 22. Got me the 30th Anniversary Vine Custom 22. PRS only made 120 30th Anniversary Vine models (60 McCarty & 60 Custom 22's I believe). Mine is Copperhead with artist grade top and patterned maple neck. , It's not even an official colour for the series. Apparently only two of 120 were done in Copperhead so I'm told. My favourite guitar. So beautiful.
@@JonIsJustTooLoud I was so lucky, just happened to look at Reverb and there it was. In mint condition, barely played and not a mark on it. Made an offer, it was accepted and then I had a long, long drive to collect it as there was no way I was having it delivered by a courier. It's a work of art. The quality is incredible. The Vine inlays are done by the same company who do the special edition Dragon models. Gaboon Ebony fretboard and 57/08 pickups. 🎸⭐
I have a S2 Custom 24 with the 85/15 "S" pickups (import version) and recently picked up a CE24 with the 85/15 pickups (USA pickups). I was really surprised by the differences between the pickups. The US versions have much more clarity to my ears, and the split coils sound amazing. Not just usable, but better than a lot of single coils! Really really surprised by how much I liked them over the 85/15 S pickups, which I still like a lot.
Very nice guitar. I have been to the PRS factory a couple of times and it is always interesting to see how they build guitars and talk to the people who build them. Thanks for sharing.👍
I’m not really a PRS fan but this is a gorgeous one and the sounds came across beautifully. The single coil settings are very impressive. I think I need to investigate further. Thanks Jon, great video as usual 😄👍👍👍👍
Just got my Indonesian SE Custom from the shop today where they dropped in a set of Seymour Duncan JBs....OH MY...what a difference!! Rivals my LP Traditional, SG, and Eastman T486 in sheer tonal goodness. It's also super playable. Who cares, right.... My point is that if you have an SE...the JB's will make a very good guitar great.
Fantastic guitar, and compared to Fenders latest offerings the price is very reasonable. I am not a PRS fan, but this one is very tempting. Thanks for a great review Jonathan
Can the resistance to bendings, be adjustable by loosening up the strings? I did loosen the strings up on my RG550 with tremolo, and bendings are easier now, the tension isn't so tight. Is this what you mentioned at 10:34? :)
Amazing playing as always! Beautiful sounds. Is that the new guitar you got? Anyway, congrats on your new guitar, you do know how to get the best from it!
I got a Custom Vine 22 & a SE Custom 24. Obviously the Vine 22 cost a lot more but I much prefer it to the 24. Has a nicer neck profile which just makes it for me the more comfortable guitar to play.
Hi Jonathan. Have you played the PRS SE Hollowbody II Piezo yet? That's a great model. It's a lot of fun running the Piezo pickup through an acoustic amp at same time as running the magnetic pickups through another amp. The tones you get are beautiful.
The S2 line is a great bang for the buck...I have an S2 McCarty 594 and I love it...it has replaced my Les Paul...well, kinda sorta...sometimes you just gotta rock a Les Paul but the PRS guitars are freakin awesome!!!!

@@JonIsJustTooLoud I tried to upload a link to photos but it just disappears everytime. Any idea why?
I’ve had 3 SE models (a 22, a Starla and a 245) which were all gorgeous but this beauty is next level!

Beautiful guitar. I have an SE and love it such an easy player. Well done Jonathan. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Gorgeous PRS! I prefer the 22 fretters rather than 24.

That’s interesting to read. I loved the same pickups in my SE 245 but not tried the USA versions
I'm here only for "song" part. Amazing! PRS such beauty of course :D

I know Allan.. pretty tempting to me too lol
You’ve made it sing. 🎶
thanks!!
Looks like my SE Custom 24. I'm even putting the same knobs on mine.

it's not about tuning down..but the scale length...✌🤓
But you can also do what you did.. but playing with a band in standard tuning will become a challenge 😆

Completely agree 22 better than 24. Nice looking guitar.

Great awesome guitar and playing! Would you share why not custom 24? Is 24 frets easier to play than 22? Thanks
I did share why not in the video..✌️❤️
That's a beautiful guitar, Johnathan. I always wanted a PRS.
Well it’s not too expensive.. start saving up!!✌️❤️
did you buy it for yourself Jonathan
Yes I did Ron 😃
@@JonIsJustTooLoud alright good for you.
