Colossians 1:24 "Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and I fill up what is lacking of Christ’s afflictions in my flesh, on behalf of His body, which is the church,..." Paul says he is suffering (now in Roman confinement) for the sake of the Gentiles. He then says that the sufferings he experiences are "Christ's afflictions" because he is Christ's steward (v. 25). Paul is Christ's "stand-in" while Christ is away. Whatever persecution is hurled at Paul is really hurled at Christ. If Christ had still been on earth, He would have continued to be persecuted, but since he is away, His Apostles were persecuted in His stead, none more than Paul. See also 2 Corinthians 1:5 ("For just as the sufferings of Christ abound to us [or, me, Paul]...) where Paul again says that what he suffers for the sake of the Gospel is "the sufferings of Christ."

Afternoon to our church folk here… i find Leviticus very strange… and thank the Lord that I don’t live in times where we have to sacrifice animal parts, splashing blood and cutting up animal bodies… praise God, we can simply come as we are and offer up our sinful bodies and be cleansed by His most precious, sacrificial blood of the Lamb, our Lord Jesus Christ…
To that I shout out loud, “Praise and glory to God the Father, Jesus Christ the Devine Son and God The Holy Spirit. “Jesus paid it All, all to Him I owe, sin left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow”.

Justin, can you explain to me WHY THE DETAILED STUFF FOR SACRIFICES IN LEVITICUS??..." The fat portions on the endtrails and kidneys" etc?? I don't understand the "why" for those things. I understand that God was detailed with Christ's crucifixion details, but fat ? I'm clueless

What's the Hebrew for grits? No English translation gets that conversation right. In the Greek Jesus as Peter "do you love me unconditionally?" And Peter eplies "Yes, Lord I live you like a brother". This happens twice. The third time Jesus reduces himself to Peter's level and changes to "Do you love me like a brother?" And that is why Peter is upset because Christ changed the question. It is not the same question and answer three times.
This translation of the Bible is okay, but it is nowhere as good as the Ki g James version. There are just so many words that are either not there, or are off from the original. God bless you brother Peter's, for your reading of the Word.
King James is not the “original “ version. The original version was Greek and Hebrew. Anything that is English has been translated. Either way, the meaning hasn’t changed. Just an updated way of saying the same thing.
