In the Anime video essay I discuss Aoashi, an underrated sports anime. The first season of the anime released two years ago and should be talked about as one of the best sports anime of this generation. Aoashi is a more grounded series than Blue Lock or Kuroko no Basket, but has just as much thematic depth. One of the best parts about this anime is the amazing twist halfway through the first season. Enjoy this video on why you should watch Aoashi.

Sports Anime Recommendation
I just heard of this series for the first time last night when my friend talked to me about it for a full hour at a bar, so this vid comes at the perfect time
They have good taste
@@reddevil5712 They've never let me down with recommendations
I hope you enjoy!!
I was on the fence about this one, but this absolutely is convincing me to dive in. Really looking forward to starting it this weekend!
Hope you enjoy it!!!
Hope you enjoyed the anime and why not the manga too
Thanks For this! Your reccomendations are always appreciated 😊😊😊😊
Hope you enjoy!!
Great analysis and showcasing on what makes Ao Ashi anime shine. Without relying heavily on it being realistic. literally.
TY!!!
Keep reading the manga man. I got hooked so hard off season 1 of the show, that I started the manga from the beginning because I was told the anime cuts some little things, and then I read it all the way through in like two weeks and its easily a top 5 manga I've read personally. It just understands the aspects of sports some other sports animes/mangas don't. They don't get being forced to play a position you don't like but are good at like AoAshi does. They don't get the struggle of having to reinvent your playstyle like Ao Ashi does. the Struggles Ashito goes through during the whole manga is just incredible. I honestly like it more than haikyuu in some places. Definitely continue reading it and I hope you make more videos about AoAshi
Yess I plan on making a video on the manga as well!
Love your content! Wish You had an amazing Christmas 🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁
Same to you!
I fell behind in the watchalong but I’m even more excited to finish the show now!
Please to all watching read this manga it’s the best football series simply put it’s like haikyuu but in football and the series gets to its best after the anime so it’s 100% worth the binge my favourite football show
The manga is somehow even more peak, can't wait till season 2.
I support Man Utd and have always watched academy football, my feeling for Ashito is equal to those I have for real academy graduates.
They do a great job making tactics understandable imo
100%! The focus on the tactics of each match is really fantastic
Thans for the recommendation..btw do you have watched ace of diamond? Plz also make videos on it too
Yes hope you enjoy! I have seen about 10 episodes, very good and will likely make a vid once I watch all of it!
for cool effects I like blue lock but for story and characters I like this
More please
I think I will make a video on the manga!
Ao Ashi is as if Blue Lock actually was about Football and realistic
Ao ashi is mainly targeted at people who play football. It uses football references and tactics that would interest only people who actively play football. Blue lock is targeted at a battle shonen audience. The author creates these fights between the cast and abilities used in their matches(battles) to draw on the shounen style.
sadly the manga its almost ending
I know, feels like I will have to make a vid on the manga before it does
Really how?! I feel like there's still loads more room for development for ashito and the others
@zakie_chan0423great question. I guess the mangaka wants to move on to other projects or something. The current arc will be the last I believe. I thought we’d have years more 😢
WHAT
Don't lose hope. Who knows, several years later we'll ge a continuation.
Ao Ashi : World Stage
or something.
Where’s season 2
Hopefully on the way!
Jokes on you I already watched it
U love to see it!
In my opinion, this anime was just as good as blue lock and both stand side by side as my favorite sports anime of all.
One thing I really appreciated about ao ashi was Hannah. They didn't overplay the relationship between her and aoi... It's a believable friendship with a believable dynamic and a believable misunderstanding and a little bit of teenage awkwardness and romance in a way that isn't cringe.
Another thing you touched on is how much the main character grows. He's a bit annoying at first but by the end you can't help but root for him.
I would have loved to have seen a second season and another 24 episodes... As much as the manga has to offer.
At least it shows a good place to stop, though I love it to be picked up again.
And as much as I also enjoy blue lock, I kind of resent it for putting a nail in this show's coffin so to speak. There's only so many viewership minutes and everyone knows Blue Lock got the majority of the attention. That's a shame though.
The second season of blue lock, for all that, was shown no love by the producers. It's still great to watch but it deserved so much better and this show deserved a second season.
I have been thinking about making a video about something similar! Might make it in the not too distant future
Even this has better animation than blue lock 😭😭😭
Lol it is true
you know what i do like is a manga called winning pass: its a basket ball manga
I will check it out!
@@aniessays i hope you do like it
Too bad the mangas ending soon

Blegh, soccer. No thanks
