I always love to see a new railroad born in the era of ripping up rails,, but it touches much deeper to see the revival of an old, once proud name running the rails again. Thank you for keeping the past alive! I wish you the best of luck.
Fantasic!!!! I rember the rock when i was a kid in chicago.i hope to see you regane more of the old mainline to expand your busness.wish you all the best.
Nice to see the company revived after 40 years. Guess it is time to get out my uncle’s HO scale Rock island locomotive and railcars. Shame the original company didn’t pass through Knoxville, TN. Hope to see you expand to Memphis though!
UP never merged (be careful before you chime in, UP bought up other roads, they never "merged"). In fact, UP is the ONLY railroad in America that has NEVER ceased operation, merged, and has NEVER changed its original name.
@ILSRWY4 I know but I'm just listing MOST of the railroads. But the truth is, U.P. and Rock Island had an idea to merge, but because of Rock Island's Bankruptcy and ICC shenanigans, the merger was cancelled.
Not the same company. Rock Island Rail LLC is very different from "Rock Island RAILROAD." Furthermore, RI, LLC. operates in a state that Rock Island Railroad never operated in, they don't serve the town for which they call themselves (Rock Island, Illinois). And they bought the rights to CRI&P JUST so they can carry the name Rock Island. That's it. Attention seekers. IAIS 513 is more authentic and its a heritage unit.
Sweet stuff
Its cool that Delay In Block Productions is the narrator!
Yes
Miss those days

I can't wait to see the 8-40C in Reborn Blue!
It has been repainted into the Rock Island red and yellow speed lettering paint scheme.
Great Video

I’m hoping you guys can make up to the Rocket line in IA one day!
That blue looks gorgeous.
I’d love to have a few N Scale locomotives in that livery for myself and a couple HO for my local clubs layout too.
All other Class I Railroads: *Merged or Bankrupt*
Rock Island: I refuse.
