For the tube on the side, maybe you can try to applying some matte coat on... May it not work like coat on gunpla fluorescent effects parts, helping (black/blue) light diffusion and somehow increasing glow?

Hmm yeah that could work! Or just lightly sanding that part

Well the "Mecha" case is definitely built with LEGO in mind. Not just the part on the top, but all the round bits look LEGO capable too.
