All the members are funny in their own ways. Siyoon's naive character is what makes him funny, so I totally disagree with some fans saying Siyoon lacks the ability. The combination of the six members is absolutely perfect. Everyone has their own share of making the show very entertaining.
No ability how he recieved many award those saying that are not fan of Siyoon
being funny isn't necessarily about making jokes , Donggu has a great sence of humour by being himself, quiet, naive. his personality suits the show and everybody is funny in their own way, not everyone is the same. Donggu is doing a great job i hope he never quits the show. love you Donggu! from Tunisia.

I wish all the members would have been able to greet the lady at the market that loved the show. She seemed like such a genuine fan and I loved how she said the show gave her energy.

That's it, i really can't help it anymore, i'm so attached to the Donggu/JJY bromance. They all laughed when DG said Jeju-do food is nice, and Defconn joked that he should be more funny, but JJY subtly defended him and i loved it more than i should. It's not like Defconn was being mean, they were all just teasing but idk. I just found it really sweet to see JJY quietly back him up.
That's partly what i love about this show though, It's nice to see that they're all genuinely friends.
Jess---Haha, sometimes I forget that YSY is older that JJY...most of the time it seems he is the youngest :P Yup! I noticed that too...it is sweet of JJY to defend YSY like that :D I also like YSY/JJY bromance...they look so cute together even just sitting or just standing next to each other :P
The two babies of the group! I guess JJY looks like the elder because he's the variety senior, so Dong Gu (i wish he would officially tell us how to address him haha, i never know what to call him! I go with DG for discussing variety since that's what they say, but idk!) looks up to him a bit, seeing as JJY is much more familiar with the entire situation. Plus, being so cute and playful, he needs someone to sort of humour him, and JJY is closer in age so he seems even older xD
Jess---Haha, yes! The two babies of the group! As for me, mostly I just call him Siyoon because I read and prefer the subtitle. You are right...JJY has more experience when it comes to variety. Poor Siyoon...I hope it won't makes him feel down when people say he is not funny :( I worry he might quit the program just like Jo woon because eventhough Siyoon is not the type to give-up easily...he might, if he thinks he is being a burden to the other members. Just like the grandma said: "He is a genuine and a nice guy." Anyway, I think sometimes Siyoon seems younger than JJY because of his childlike personality plus he is baby-faced too. JJY is taller and just like you said before, has more experience in variety...even the older members are afraid of him :P

Yeah, it's nice because it feels like a fond way of calling him. I guess cause 2d1n feels like one big family, so when others refer to him to the same way, idk, it's like we're all family together. And that people have come from 2d1n to support him and Tae Hyun. Not that that's troublesome, it's a lovely drama!

I am so proud of Jongmin. He has come a long way from being ridiculed to being the face of 2D1N. I love this show and I love all the members.
I love Donggu so much, he's my favorite member, although I love all the members too. It makes me sad reading the comments about him sometimes. Donggu is the sweet member of the group, he always greets and cheers for everyone. He is funny and unexpected at times. He's doing his best as the newest member of the show, and hasn't it already been one year since he's been on the show? I like the bromance between him and Joonyoung ^^ Anyways, Donggu fighting! I love you!

at this point I want to pick a fight with Donggu's haters. He started to coming out of his shell and comfortable, you can see how his confident burst out lately but no, netizen said it's not enough.

During this trip and next episode I can clearly see how affected he is by the comment and he's not as comfortable as usual.

i read a lot people complaint about the staff should be firm and harsh to the members and let them starve. if you notice, they are firm and harsh at early time when Yoo Ilyong takeover, but a lot of people complaint that he shouldn't be harsh to them and to let them eat, they even calling him as not flexible or too strict. that was why he loosen a bit and let the loser eat too...but now people complaint that he should let them starve.

what's wrong with Dong Gu? he's hardworking and nice and i like him the way he is 😁. And Joon young? he's kinda bit of a tsundere 😂😂 He looks hard outside yet soft inside. Love it when he defended Dong gu while attacking Deffcon 😂😂😂😂 and especially when he hands over the water bottle to the lady who chose the fish sauce.😍
Above all else i love this show so much, like the grandma said it gives me energy and happiness every week. It would be nice if they also choose an international fan 😂😂😂😂.
xenon 0000----I also like Dong Gu the way he is but some people (if not many) doesn't find him funny. Some even wants him to quit the show. Dong Gu already knows this and I have a feeling he will quit after finishing his 2 years contract. I think he is such a kind-hearted guy and he will leave the show if he thinks he is just being a burden to the other members by not being funny. I think you are right about Joon young when you said: "He looks hard outside yet soft inside." I also like him the way he is but some viewers find him rude by putting his hands on his pocket or crossing his arms against his chest. I also like the part when he defended Dong Gu from Defconn (although Defconn just teases Dong Gu as requested by a viewer.) I specially like Dong Gu and Joon young Bromance :)
Anyway, they are just human beings and they cannot please everybody but I think many people also like and accept them the way they are :) I also love the show so much and it will be nice if they can choose an international fan too. (It might be hard though because I think only Joon young can speak english). Anyway, I guess this show is not just for laughs but also to promote the food and beauty of Korea. I think they are doing a good job by just being themselves like friends or brothers just having fun :)
Ana Canoza why you repeat this continuesly dear ... just look at the like numbers in the comments supporting Siyoon ... I know you like him too , but repeating such things , first of all is so exaggerated and not as much as imp you say, and secondly vice versa in many scenes he does so funny even not less than the other members , but unfortunately the camera screen gives him very unfair and less time screen than others...and I dont know why?
Maryam Ghaini---Sorry about that, but my reply is for different commentors. Xenon 0000 did ask what's wrong with Siyoon and I just answered him/her. I didn't mean to repeat it for others to read. Everybody has their own opinion and I think it is not exaggerated. Even in this episode, the grandma and the viewer commented Siyoon is not funny although they like him too. Siyoon already knows this...that's why he tried so hard to be funny and Jongmin commented "but it back-fired." I know that many are supporting Siyoon, but we are international fans...I just hope Korean fans feel the same way. Ofcourse I like him too and I accept him the way he is but just like I've said before, Siyoon cannot please everybody and I just hope he will not get affected by some people criticizing him. Anyway, I think the reason why Siyoon has little screen time is because he is not funny enough, I noticed the camera mostly just focused on him are in games, being sweet with the other members, and when he make cute expressions. I really like the way he laughs and I think you already read my comment when I said I really like his expressive face too (like a walking meme.) I already watched the next episode and I felt he even got very little screen time than before...I won't spoil it but you'll know once you already watch it.
Ana Canoza I'm a JJY's fan and i never knew that putting his hands in his pocket or crossing arms in his chest is rude in South Korea (yet i find it cool though 😂😂😂).. I don't want to generalize his personality just for that "rude gesture" (for i simply don't know what his "real" character is😊😊) Nonetheless, i love his rudeness, weirdness, immaturity and carefree rocker spirit 😁😁 which befits his style 😂😂
And about Donggu.. we'll never know until he get there. 😁😁 Others don't seem to find him funny, but he has his own character in the show. I honestly don't like him at first but as the time goes on, we can really see that he works hard and improves a lot too-- that alone is a well deserved reason to like him 😊😊.. Everyone has their own respective opinion and we can't do something about that 😁😂 And as for me, I'll just enjoy watching him and rooting for everyone especially JJY 😂😂😂😂😍😍

I think many international fans started watching because of Siyoon, including me, but we came to love all of the cast so Siyoon's role is more important than being funny, he brings viewers and he is funny from time to time which as a fan for me is enough

Ahahahaha! I don't want to be mean but....Siyoon sleeping with his mouth wide open whahahaha! Usually he makes me smile because of his brightness but this is the first time he made me laugh so loud and he even did it unintentionally :P Kidding aside, he must be so tired...the poor cute thing! Anyway, for me...it doesn't matter if he is funny or not, he is fine just the ways he is :D Defconn teasing Siyoon is kinda funny (as requested by a viewer) but Joon-Young defending Siyoon is my favorite scene. It's like Siyoon is the sweet, naive Maknae that gets bullied but the real Maknae who's supposed to the the real bully is defending him :P
Every time i try to decide on my favourite member, i get stuck.They all have their place and they work well together so there's not one who is the leader of the pack. Donggu isn't intentionally funny but he doesn't need to be cause there are others who will do that. They all bring something different to the table and that's why i love 2d1n. I can't get into a lot of the variety shows where the cast all have big, loud, similar personalities. It's too much all at once for me, i feel a little overwhelmed. But this cast quietly plays off each other and let's everyone say their piece. It's nice.

You are right, the other members are already funny so I think Siyoon also just give balance to the show by just being himself. Clumsy but can win games when they least expect it and vice versa, being bright and sweet to the other members, being attentive to the elders (for example helping Junho take off his sweater and in this episode helping Jongmin). I also like his expressive face and actions...he's like a walking Meme :P He is also knowledgeable. Anyway, I think this show is not just for laughs but also to promote the food and beauty of Korea. We can't help but love him, he's too adorable! All the members seem like nice people but JJY was the only one who really filled the 'sweet' role (and i think he prefers to be subtle about that anyway, so he can keep his slightly rebellious role haha), but now we have Dong Gu who's just like a little puppy. Sometimes confused and uncertain, sometimes excitable and enthusiastic, but always adorable af.
They do a great job showcasing S.Korea with this show though, they should be proud! I mean, they even make a simple market look like a great tourist destination :D

Well maybe not haha, i don't think any of them would want to be doing this that long (although Jongmin's well on his way xD ) but i don't want to think about them splitting up yet, they make such a good team! I started after Joohyuk left (although i'm working my way through the whole of s3) so i haven't had to deal with the sadness of a beloved member leaving yet (and hopefully not for a while).
I rewatched the ep recently, where they go to see SY's grandparents and he tears up there, it's just too precious! I want to give him such a big hug. And JJY's return will always be a firm favourite of mine, SY got so cute and excited then. He's definitely got the 'sweet' role sorted

Rewatching this after the recent episode. How thoughtful of the show to remember this adorable grandma. That'why i love 2D1N soooo much!!! ❤️
I started watching this show when 2D1N had Hwarang as their guest and then Park Bo-gum. At that time I didn't know anyone and I'm thankful for that or else I couldn't know whom to cheer for.
Then one day I spotted Joonyoung and later on Siyoon. I watched this show because I found both of them handsome. Then I spotted Taehyun; I like his laugh. Then Junho and Defconn. And not to forget Juhyeok. And later the staff like PD Yoo Hojin and PD Yoo ilyong and others they brought for games.
Now I watch this show for the cast and the staff; and I couldn't like them to change; not even one of them.
Really nice to hear Cha Taehyun's laugh 😂 It makes my heart happy when they are laughing and just having fun teasing each other.
When you become a truly fan of 1박2일, you're not only know the member but also the staff! AlphaO you always make the challenge awesome! 대박! Anyway, Did anyone here missed Director Yoo Hu Jin? It's more even wild and exciting when he always wants the member to suffer. Kudos 1박2일.. 사랑합니다! 행복하다.
I started watching this show because of Donggu, he keeps games interesting, and I think he's keeping things in balance. You should give it to him, he's the only serious actor on this show while the others are legit comedians and funny actor. I just hope he won't be cut out after a year because of these nonsense comments.

If you watch the latest episode, Junho said he told the director many times to cut off Donggu because "he does not belong here". I don't know if he meant it as a joke but somehow I felt like he was serious about it.

I like Jongmin too, and yes he seems genuine not pretentious is best quality of him!
I dont hate any member. But when Siyoon get hated comment many people defend him (look on comment. Mostly about jjy and siyoon) But i rarely see people defend defconn. Especially on early year of this season. It was kinda sad to look on that. But i am glad lately many people recognize defconn. There is no hate comment.. Keep fighting defconn...

before, international audience kept on complaining that donngu isn't funny. now that he's doing good sokor audience are still complaining. but for me, donngu is doing extremely good and he's now blending well with other members. oppa, fighting! you're doing perfectly fine. keep it up!

There are times where Si Yoon is naturally funny and makes witty comments. It's just that the other's level of being funny are higher than his, as well as his serious and dedicated nature, which probably explains why people think he's boring.
