We all knew this day would come. All things must end. Sure, change is good, but damn it can be difficult. In this episode we say goodbye to our short-term crew member John and our long-term-like-family crew member Kate. This was not an easy video to put together, having to relive the bittersweet goodbyes, but it's not all sad.
Before we go our separate ways we have one last day of adventure and exploration. Curiosity is anchored in a new destination that's lovingly referred to as the Miami Beach of Ecuador: Salinas. So grab a box of tissues, put on your flip flops and click that play button.

Kate IS a very special woman! She’s so pure, transparent, giving, kind and so many other adjectives! She will be deeply missed by viewers also! I love her laugh! She’s right, you did have many laughs together. I think she was particularly a great fit for YOUR crew! All three of you can tap into your resource of love quickly & easily!!

It’s so wonderful when a special person comes into your life the way Kate came into yours. The bond between you all is so special ... especially between Nikki and Kate. It’s so heartwarming when you make these types of friendships ❤️. I can appreciate how hard it is so say goodbye to someone when you have a deep bond with someone that was created in such a short space of time. I couldn’t help shedding a few tears for you all ... however, I have already seen the episodes when Nikki and Jason meet up with Kate and her husband in South Africa before they head back to Curiosity in Tonga. It was so lovely to see these 4 “Sailing Musketeers” back together making some beautiful memories. Love ❤️Love❤️ Love ❤️ xx

As beautiful as it, the Pacific crossing is just not worth the hassles in my opinion. There are plenty of welcoming countries to explore and it would take a lifetime to explore them all. Thanks for the content!!!

You guys are some of the best at storytelling and the photography work. I have been watching you guys since the early days in the RV. I think I may have seen all of your RV vids but have not been able to keep up since you started sailing. It's a full time job watching all your vids (lol) so I can only imagine the time and effort it takes you guys to get them made and published. You are very good at what you do. Your adventures were quite different when I found your channel. You were Alaska bound in an RV. It was funny that I found you when I did. My husband is from Alaska and we were living in Tampa. We started a family and knew we wanted a different way of life. We pondered the idea of changing things up a bit. Shortly there after we made the move back to Alaska. Your adventures there reminded us why we love it so. Thank you for the reminder. 💗 Hoping adventure is finding you well!
Hey you guys. I know Kate leaving was hard for you two, cause y’all have become such good friends and shared a ton of good times together. Special people will come in and out of our lives as we go through life. It can be really hard to say goodbye to someone when you know in the back of our minds that we may never see them again. Sucky part of life for sure.

When shipmates part from company, you feel the loss of their presence. You forged a bond from common experiences. I still remain in contact with some of my former shipmates from 38-years ago. All you can hope for is that they keep in touch and that you would meet again sometime, and wish them fair winds & following seas.
