I absolutely ADORE the theory that the planet is making stuff to try to comfort Olimar so he stays, that is EXACTLY in line with what the Plasm Wraith was doing. That sort of deranged, obsessive caretaking that’s both kinda sweet because it loves you but is also incredibly horrifying because it’s torturing you. The Onion resembling Hocotate onions, the Pikmin resembling Pikpik carrots, the Bulborbs resembling Bulbie. Also the fact that Pikmin 4 says that Olimar has dreamed of exploring since he was young (or was that just a headcanon I had? I’m pretty sure that’s canon.) it’s like the planet fulfilled that wish, but in its own twisted way. Makes me love the idea of a Pikmin game where Olimar’s family joins him. Yeah he got what he wanted, but with this horrible monkey’s paw effect. I want to see him grappling with that SO FREAKING BADLY but I just KNOW all of this will simply remain heavily implied theory that Nintendo will never directly explore.
The concept of the planet being _alive_ and providing outsiders exactly what they need so they can leave fills me with an existential cosmic dread. But on the other hand... The idea that all the little creatures living in the house are keeping it clean and tidy for if the humans return is such a cute idea. XD

I think that if we like the idea of the world being a living organism, then it could have "memory" of the human civilization, and the world is creating these objects in different states.
The Pikmin lore is soo deep. The theory about the planet being alive seems to be the closest answer. Maybe PNF-404 was an experiment and was made to replicate earth in a healthy state and could heal itself if it needed to but then something went wrong. The project was then abandoned because of how unpredictable it was. Maybe it was a last effort attempt to keep humanity on one planet because earth was destroyed but since the project failed humanity scattered across the galaxy. It would also make sense that PNF-404 is a wraith because of how it acts. It tries to lure or crash different folks to the plant and then tries to keep them their as long as possible. It is important that the Hocatates and Koppiates can leave the planet though so that way, others feel the planet is safe to go to. Even the name PNF-404 sounds like an experiment. It is also possible Olimar got a concussion (Pikmin 1,2,3) then woke up, slipped and fell because the hospital's floor was wet and got another concussion (Pikmin 4) and then Hey Pikmin was a day dream (or a nightmare to some folks) Also the video was great!
The idea of the planet being alive and trying to reconstruct some kind of illusion from memory is interesting because it explains one of my longest-standing questions: what's with all the perishable food-based treasures in Pikmin 2? It wouldn't make sense for a fried egg or a cookie to survive long enough past human extinction that the entire ecosystem has completely changed, but if they're effectively being spawned in lore-wise at the same time they are gameplay-wise, that'd make a lot more sense. The only question I then have is, if the living planet can create fake treasures, creatures, and food, that behave exactly as you'd expect, can be eaten (or eat you) and persist across interestellar space, why can't it just remake humanity, and for that matter the whole Anthropocene ecosystem?
I am just a bit over halfway through the video and something that is one of my theories is That the man at legs in the house of Pikmin 4 might be the thing that’s keeping it clean due to the fact that it has hatred to the Pikmin and also towards Olimar, and the man at legs looks like it is made by man, so it could be potentially keeping intruders that it can see from wrecking the place with lethal force, and The humans might have turned into Pikmin, hear me out the boss at the end of the third game(I’m not even gonna try to spell its name because I don’t not know how to) has a very strong fascination for human like creatures as shown with olimar because I don’t even think it’s human and we already saw that they have the technology to make a spider like creature with a literal machine gun attached to it so that must be and they have figured out a way to make themselves smaller either that or it’s something else and they just learn how to make small guns that work either way I think that the creature might have found them and kept them as hostages and now that they’re smaller and weaker to any other bugs, they might’ve adapted to their environment and might have turned into Pickman in order to hide as leaves potentially and from there they started to hate the creature most likely for keeping them without letting them go for so long while the man at legs might have tried to keep the house as clean as possible, from their environment was able to thrive and the humans that may have not became small initially most likely because the people who were originally being small were using it to most likely inspect things with more precision because with stuff like surgery trying to find things is going to be a bit difficult with just a small knife when you’re requires a lot more precision(I should know because that’s what it kinda seems like whenever I am sewing. It is very difficult with a small needle and trying to put the string in.) more of them might’ve gone to rescue the others, and they all turned into Pikmin, and the onion doesn’t even seem natural due to the fact that it can literally fly using jets, so it was probably made by the Pikmin/humans and now with a new predator, the bugs had to adapt and most likely so with the bigger animals now without big humans, they can thrive like usual but domesticated animals may have had to adapt because there are no humans to look after them. but hey, that’s just a theory, A GAME THEORY!!! 25:16 this is the response to when they said that they are the only Pickman fans. In Pikmin 3 they only spend a little time collecting fruit from a small area of each continent so they can get a larger variety of seeds in a smaller time frame since their goal is to plant as much giant fruit on their home planet as soon as possible.

What if time moves differently on Hocotate and Koppai and PNF-404. Maybe because the planets are so far away from each other that PNF-404 is going through years of changing which would result in new areas? Correct me if I’m wrong I don’t know if it makes sense

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here. Pikmin 1 & 2 are one canon, pikmin 3 is its own canon, as is pikmin 4. Hence why space dogs and map inconsistencies. In pikmin 2, olimar gets home and immediately goes back to pnf404. Its only been a few months. The seasons changed. Thats why the appearance is so different between the two games despite the terrain being near identical. A better theory is that the Wraith species (see: water wraith, plasm wraith) are mythical, magical creatures that obsess over the captains in a similar way to the pikmin.
