I’m Proud to be an Ornn main after Watching this. I really love his character, and this lore. This makes Ornn to one of the most powerfull characters in all of league. A shame that he is sp underrestimated on the rift, he’s late game is pretty damn strong
I love how Ornn's gameplay reflects his lore : in too much of the Frejlord, he's seen as the less powerful brother, and underrated; and in the game, he's often seen as just a tank who can make upgrades. When, in reality, he made the Freljord and indestructible artifacts, so he is the most powerful brother; and any Ornn main knows what it's like when your ennemy in top doesn't respect the damage Ornn's combos can deal
The part with the beer drinking contest is a reference to Norse Mythology. Thor was challenged by a giant named Utgard-Loki to a similar contest and was sure he would win, but the giant was cunning and skilled in magic. He hid the entire ocean into the beer horn, making sure the god would not win. Thor still lowered the sea's level quite a bit in his efforts but ultimately lost.

if they made god-like champs god-like in game, you pick them and you'd insta-win... like A-Sol, he could just destroy everything/one in a single blow/star-creation. and Bs champs (zed, akali, fizz, yasuo, etc...) are broken in game because they're really not... the game's truly balanced around I believe diamond+? So if you're below diamond there's gonna be a good amount of things that are not ok (balance wise), but beyond diamond everything's the same (for the most part, if anything champs are useless up there as opposed to down here in bronze-plat)

I'd take Ornn's feats, and these stories in general, with a pinch of salt. After all, these are myths of ancient events that survive only through the oral tradition. Admittedly, there is a lot of supernatural power in this setting, even a galaxy dragon that can create stars on a whim. So it could be true, or it could be exaggerations and forgetting the true reasoning and context. In regards to the occasional smoke from (presumably) his forge, my guess is mix of maintaining the volcano and his forge, along with him having lost the will and the spark that drove his earlier work. Even introverts need some social interaction, and some of his greatest work has been for the benefit of others. A smith who only makes for themselves is kind of limited. He might start up a project, only to lose focus or motivation.
That sort of fits with what Riot said about how Vastaya were created, being humans transformed through contact with animal spirits, which just fits too well to just be coincidence. Doesn't make Volibear any less of a monster, though.
Rito specifically mentioned the Ursine (and a few other animal like champions) to not be Vastayan. Though the Ursine are getting a huge lore update (or removed completely sometime after this story) this will still likely remain, as Vastaya have their ancestry traced to crossbreeding between humans and shapeshifting spirits. Volibear creating a race of animal people in his image stays true to Rito's current explanation.

I think it would quite a neat story if someone, or perhaps a small group from Piltover/Zaun made something of a pilgrimage to the foot of his mountain and took up the torch of those who admired Ornn back in the day. Maybe they could help convince him to leave his mountain again. Maybe have a round two with Volibear with Ornn going on the offensive to move the fight away from the squishy people after some character growth.
Hi necrit , i got some new idees for the darkins origin. Analysing them colors ( purple and red) we could think that they are weapon coming from the void and they use the blood of battle to get new powers. Maybe have a round two with Volibear with Ornn going on the offensive to move the fight away from the squishy people after some character growth.
Hi necrit , i got some new idees for the darkins origin. Analysing them colors ( purple and red) we could think that they are weapon coming from the void and they use the blood of battle to get new powers. We could also see a principal factor of being a void personnage as a big eye or strange one( the herald, vel koz, and kayn in is basic form)

At first I didn't like Ornn, because he was so grumpy and all. But knowing his story makes me like him so much more! Knowing that he is grumpy, because of Anivia and Volibear and that he appreciates stuff, but doesn't express it gets so much more meaning.
