Greetings from Alabama! Your video was excellent and the comparison display of the illumination of competing brands was very helpful. You are a true craftsman who takes post production seriously. Well done! Best wishes and continue growing your channel.
Good timing on the part of Johnny Law, most nights they would have had to contend with thousands of lumens like something out of Close Encounters of the Flashaholic kind. Nice beam performance from the Fenix, but the Sofirn had the best overall output for close range. Nice review F. 👍
One grain of sand is all that remains of my vast empire.... A little long for the lumens, and clip placement/shape isn't my favorite, but I like the performance, beam pattern, dual illumination, and power options, so there's lots of bang for the buck in this one, me likey.
Is the clip made of plastic or aluminum? Can’t tell from the pictures and video. I’m assuming plastic to fit the magnets inside. Looking to upgrade from my Fenix L2D after over 15 years.
I have a question, what prevents or happens if you have a standard AA in the light and connect the charging cable to it. Is there a safety feature to prevent that from accidently happening? 🤔
For a similar price I would say the Acebeam E10 is far better than this. This only has a throw distance of 190m whereas the Acebeam E10 is 562m. So this Fenix LD12R gets a thumbs down from me - its a bit of a kids torch if you dont mind me saying. But thanks for doing a thorough review of it. Cheers.

Brightest 600 lumens i have seen.

Brucey bonus! thanks for the kind words
Looks very useful
I plan to buy it when a sale comes on the store site I frequent😊

She's a bit of a narcissist!
Gigantism...
Soo huge!
Yes for a 14500
And nice reference of the neverending story
One of my fave films ever!
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV Wolfgang Petersen is an amazing Director.
Front LED looks like the SST20
Fenix UK store lists it as SST20.
Hi, the Fenix E12 v3 has just been released. Would you be reviewing that as well?
Hard to say, I don't get many Fenix in.
That is a realy amazing flashlight mate!!!
Plastic clip? Do you think it's durable on NOT breaking off? What LED is in it? SST40? THANKS!
It's amazing! Nice design, a bit large tho. Side light might be warmer
Yeah. Using cool leds for maximum power, heat handling, and runtime. It is huge for a AA light.
How long until it steps down? And when it does how many lumens?

Ye, plastic
My L2D just broke as well. Does not turn on any longer, although not used much... :-(
nice little flashlight but for the key ring a little too big
Way too big!
THX 🙏

I expect so, FENIX are very high quality.
I hope so or it’s bye bye torch.
What you suggest pd25r or pd12r. Please help me
Should've incorporated a magnet at bottom
Where would the tail switch go?
@@dkin no need. Woth such small output and side light, it is more like work and edc oriented. A side switch is ideal for this.
The tail switch is quite popular with many flashlight users.
Tail switch and magnet can be both incorporated . See Olight.
@@alexciciu2794 this. Probably will be a little bit expensive but yeah. Magnets are must for work lights.
La espere por meses gracias por hacer la prueba
Very nice review. I wished you would talk us through it rather than having us read your commentary.
Does this light get too hot to handle?
The handle stays fairly cool. The top of the light gets over 40C, though, so it might not be suitable for kids with li-ion cells.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV interesting. The PD25R gets crazy hot as well. Fenix needs to address this issue. If not that for that I’d be a fan. 🤷♂️
Was that intro from The Never Ending Story? 😃
Oh yes!
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV That intro hit like a bomb of nostalgia 😁 I loved that movie!
(Oh and great review too btw 😅)
Did the police even ask what you were doing? Kinda wondering, because you are there all the time. Lol! :)
It was pretty early, 7.30pm ish, so not too shifty! I did get a death threat the last time I was in the Dangerous place, though!

Has Jens been deported? Long time since he went for a night walk..
Back in Norway while his divorce goes through!
Have a cuestion??? Have strob
there is no strobe on this
Nope. I'm not a strobe fan tbh. Would rather triple tap be a timer start.
@@FLASHAHOLIC_TV agreed. If it aint instant, then no good use. Sos on this wouldn't be so bad
