    USA really missing out on great diesels from Europe. Audi A6 (3 engines from 218 to 320hp), BMW 5-series (7 engies from 143 to 381hp) and Mercedes E-class (5 engines from 135hp to 258hp)

    If you're interested in this car but out of your range, as it is for most of people, check out the VW Passat TDI SEL Premium. thousands less and loaded to the hilt and the options that are issuing are esoteric and would most likely rarely be used by you.

    Audi A6 TFSI 2.0 good model 2014 very less consume fuel 👍 compete strongly by high performance and beauty values 👌 , but the agents, especially in Saudi Arabia...!!!, , , need to support young men and women in marketing through maintenance and spare parts at a reasonable price.. . 👌... For me I prefer the dark colors outside and light brown inside to avoid dirt for those who are always used for inside the cities... 🤔

    You folks over the pond all seemed very surprised to see a diesel! Here in Europe, diesel is more common that petrol.

      ***** There are A6's in Europe with the same 3.0 tdi but with 320 hp. Those are not allowed in the U.S. probably because it would blow the doors off the majority of sedans in the U.S. We have the detuned 3.0. There is a way around that with APR though :)

      In Singapore we think Diesels as a poor man's alternative. In my country we show off cars no to enjoy them lol

      @@moeschizlac Why would they have restricted the hp in the USA?

    • @moeschizlac
      @moeschizlac Рік тому

      @@epbski It wouldn't pass emissions here. Also, it has the power and very good mpg at the same time so it would sell too good in the states. American cars would lose sales.

    I think the producer done a small mistake which is they compared bmw 535d and audi a6 3.0 tdi with mercedes e250d which is a 2 liter diesel, whereas it should be compared to a a e350d

      There is no E350 Diesel in the U.S. It was replaced by the E250 Diesel, but thanks for the comment.

    Can you get this vehicle without the TDI badging on the side? I recall the Escalade Hybrid has the giant "HYBRID" on the side of it and I don't like how it looks. I'd rather be discrete with badging. Please let me know. Great video. thank you!

      That graphic was only for press cars. All cars sold in the US will have a TDI badge in the back. That's it.

      spl1011 Oh ok great. I appreciate the feedback. Love these cars but way out of my price range. I've narrowed my choices to two: 2012 Genesis and 2012 Maxima SV. Any advice/feedback? I know the former is RWD and I'm in New England so I'd need winter tires. Just trying to compare which i'd like better.

    • @thedriversseat
      @thedriversseat  10 років тому +1

      Paul Connolly Both solid choices. If you can live with the Maxima's CVT and FWD, then go with it over the Genesis strictly from a ride & handling perspective. However, the Genesis does have more features and is a bit more upscale. Bottom line is to find the vehicle with the least amount of miles in your price range. Good luck.

      thedriversseat Excellent feedback. Thank You. When you say "live with" the CVT and FWD how do you mean? Are they tough to deal with? Bear in mind I'm coming from my "little old lady car" ('04 Chevy Cavalier).

    • @thedriversseat
      @thedriversseat  10 років тому +1

      Paul Connolly The Maxima was positioned by Nissan as a 4-door sports sedan because of it's high horsepower (291 or 292), but it is FWD so that makes it less sporty. Also, the CVT whines at higher RPMs because it's optimized for fuel economy and not necessarily performance. Most enthusiasts/journalists don't like CVTs, but they're getting much better. We're driving two of them this week (Nissan Rogue & Subaru XV Crosstrek Hybrid) and they work with those family crossovers. Bottom line is that proper performance sedans will be RWD and have a steptronic transmission like the Genesis. Drive both and we recommend you drive them as hard as allowable. Accelerate aggressively and find a curvy road.

    This guy is a joke. He put the Lexus ahead of the Audi. An Audi is more superior to Lexus.
