It's not hard to believe the lakers held lonzo out of the game. NBA training staff seems to protect the players very much. And that doesn't mean the players want to sit either. Most of the time the players want to play, but the training staff wont allow them to.

To be 'transcendental' you still have to be able to play defense, be a clutch shooter and have superior athleticism. Lonzo has none of these things. Who cares if he has the luxury of being a unique passer?

I think the Lakers will likely regret drafting Lonzo Ball #2 overall, because of LaVar's distracting comments, and also because Lonzo has not shown that he can knock down mid-range jump shots, and he has not shown that he can take contact. 14 points per game is not exactly a sign that he is a superstar. Time will tell.
