Thanks Forester, I loved your comments about the forests and their management. I stayed at Old Faithful in the winter and cross country skied around the area. Winter is the best time for seeing the animals. I am a gear head so a video about your equipment would be appreciated
What a spectacular way to spend a summer. Thank you for sharing your hike. I was raised in NM and live now in Colorado and your images and commentary truly captured the beauty and spirit of the region. I looked forward each day to your videos and will dearly miss may breakfasts "on trail" with you. Thank you.
It is an incredible achievement, Forester! We are so happy for you. The scenery along the whole CDT was just beautiful. We learned so much about this country from listening to your narrations. We will be able to go back to the first episode, and do it all over again! Thanks for the fantastic ride (walk). 😊
You can go to the playlist on my page. The episodes are in order and UA-cam keeps your place I think if you want to rewatch. I’m sure I will watch them all again this winter.
Oh boy.....have really enjoyed your walk.....great videos and commentary......am 76 and no longer much of a walker but in my mind I dream....thanks again Treeman wishing you the best of luck.
Very cool, indeed! Other-worldy. I thought that last episode ended rather abruptly, so now I can officially say, "CHAPEAUX!" 🎩🎩🎩⚡💯1600 +/- miles is no joke. Well done! We'll keep on following your adventures, for sure! Truly inspiring :)
Congratulations on reaching Old Faithful!! I really enjoyed the hike through Yellowstone even with the clouds and haze. Love seeing the steam in the distance from the thermals pools!! Guess we'll see ya sometime on another trail!! Thanks for sharing your journey!
I suppose that by now you are back home. Plenty of time now to reflect on what it all means. Indeed, you may be be doing the rest of your days. Well done, Tyler! What an amazing summer. You have created memories that will last a lifetime.
Hey Forester... aka Tyler.... Jim from Silver City here.... Have greatly enjoyed sharing your journey! ... both incredible scenery, and commentary! Particularly enjoy forestry and wildlife observations. I learned more than youd probably guess. Vast majority of my 4x / week walk/jog outings are in Gila National Forest near CDT trailhead on fire road trails near Jack's Peak. I love it, but positive it pails in comparison to your journey! Hope to follow future adventures. Would enjoy seeing.... * Gear video.... what you started with, what changed (like sleeping pad & why), what you'd do differently. * Food / nutrition video... what you planned & what youd do differently. Were you able to get enough calories? Did weight stay steady? ...gain? ....or lose? * Hydration / water sources planning.... Got concerned at times you felt you might run short. Anything you'd do differently. * Hope you do an epilogue / summary / final thoughts video. Sure have enjoyed journey & I believe I've gained through your sharing. I admire your courage.... well beyond my comfort zone. Stay Safe, and Take Care! -Jim :-)
Thanks for the videos. I enjoyed them all. Glad to know you will continue the CDT in another year. The story continues. I look forward to watching the scenery through your eyes and words. I wonder-in the meantime will you go back to being a forester?
I will probably pick up some kind of temporary non-forestry job till next summer. Not sure yet. I don’t want to put my CDT completion in jeopardy by getting a more permanent type gig.
Thanks for taking us along on this most excellent adventure!!🥾🥾
Glad you enjoyed it !
