    Here's a twist. Tie a black marabou tail like a bugger. Tie a large black egg. Trim more egg shape or tear drop. Instant Tadpole.

    Great illustrative video. The trick is using three times the amount of material that you think it should take to make the egg. The egg is defined by the width of the material bunch not the length. You still get many many eggs out of a package.

    So what I do is literally use a orange foam ball and tie jam knot in the front with two three half hitches cut the tread push the hole in the foam ball over the thread so it’s secure and wrap more thread behind it with adding halfhitches until your have a peice of thread on your hook thicker than the hole in the foam and cover it in fly head cement I may also add some lead wire to make it sink better but that’s personal preference

    I would recommend to use less material. 4 strands is ALL you need for a #10 egg.
