Thank you, Frank. It goes back to Rushdoony and North. Exactly. James Jordan, too. Back in the '80's I read them regularly so I understand the power of the approach. I moved on to Ehrman, Verzmez and Dunn. Thank god I did not stay there.
I agree that the opposite of faith is not doubt, but certitude. It is freeing living with the knowledge that much of God is a mystery and that I don't have to convince myself that any specific denomination has perfect dogmas. God cannot be confined within any tiny theological box of human design.
If Rushdoony et al. want to nullify the Constitution in favor of some Biblical authority, what will become of the Second Amendment
and the current application to firearms?
