But they are still, nonetheless, entertainers, side job or not, and not having a sustainable audience is not exactly a good thing for both person and agency involved. I'm sorry but I just don't see any immediate benefit to keeping them there just to "hold on to the name" seeing as how how unpopular they are. If they're not doing anything with them now then expect that they won't be doing more in the future (Considering Holostars have been here a while already)

Holostars will forever be in the shadows of Hololive unless the company starts to actually promote them. And I don't think even collaborations with the girls will not give them a boost at this point since most audiences of Hololive are men. Girls would love the Holostars. They have potential. They just need the right push. Collab them with otome games or something.

Since Nijisanji theme doesn't focus on idol, we have a lot more variety of Vtuber . The number 1 male Vtuber in Nijisanji is Kuzuha and he's more known as a gamer than anything.
Going back to this after watching a couple of Rikka's livestreams, and it's kinda refreshing that he hasn't changed that much lol. He's still our 2GB Holoroid.
I feel like people who like VTubers are generally male, so I get the reason why these guys aren't as popular, but it really is a shame, I'd love to see more people sub these guys. I found out about Holostar when a clip of Kaoru retiring was posted in YT, and there was alot of them too(the clips), I thought they were already popular like Hololive, So I ignored it and never bother to find out more about Holostar. But I suddenly saw a clip of Izuru around september, That was also the day I remember them( yes I did forgot about them😔) When I finally visited their channel their subcount was really Low, I thought they were around a 100k subs like hololive cause they were from the same company, so I was really shocked when they were not over 100k subs. All the Holostar member are all fun and chill guys, Wish I subbed to them on the same day I found them. Thats why I will try to support them the best I can now that I got into this rabbit hole

Its because the "Idol Culture" thingy from Japan.... I already wrote some comments about that but. Lets just say its an annoying and somewhat infuriating culture, meaning, the fans are very toxic.
There are no musicians in Hololive (well, maybe Gura counts, she plays the uke), but he made awesome musical collabs with Matsuri, MatsuRikka is an amazing duo.
Some people dont want to remember, but the actual situation is caused by the Hololive fans, if i remember correctly, when the first generation of HoloStars became "known", a lot of fans became salty and caused riots, because they dont wanted to some guys got near their "idols". The situation got pretty bad and HoloStars was forced to be more low-key. I dont know if the stream got removed or not, but even Fubuki got annoyed at the stupidity of all of this, and somewhat adressed the situation. Apparently, nowadays Yagoo wants to try again with this project, because recently HoloStars got a 2nd generation. I hope this go well, and in the future we can see interactions between HoloStars and Hololive.
@@KaptenMalaCh At the side of management, they need to be more innovative, its true though, Nijisanji has more success in the male aspect because they are more entertainers/radio hosts/gamers and so on, than idols but.... you know, with proper measures they can do it. At least, even at the Hololive side, they want to help their co-workers. I already said about Fubuki, but i heard Matsuri too wants to help. I just hope this can be solved.
