Well ciri has been on road, fighting monsters, no wonder she looks more aged and I'm glad that ciri is the protagonist now. Imagine a dlc where u go off to find the legendary witcher, Geralt.
@@goldlick7138it’s only a few years devs confirmed it I read like 7 she looks different because it a cgi trailer they changed geralt every game also he didn’t look the same as the cg trailers and in game this is also a new engine not the same one as Witcher 3 and cyberpunk
I didn’t know she mentioned Ciri to have her own Witcher game years ago. It’s funny and insane because I recall that Chloe Frazer having her own game in Uncharted Lost Legacy.
I was tempted to make that into a sarcastic anti-vax joke, but decided not to bother. On topic, according to more than one commenter, the books spell it out that the Trial of Grasses is 100% lethal to girls, they tried to make it work. Besides that, it looked like Ciri had used at least one Witcher sign there, (looked to me like the shield one, the others could have been normal magic as far as I can tell) which the books explained she couldn't do because she could only channel raw magic. Knowing CDPR and their history of thorough research of licensed products, I doubt this is an oversight. I'm interested in finding this out, whether Ciri found a way to survive Witcher potions, or if she's using something else.
@@ravenmadd3895 there's a theory going around that at the end of the witcher 3, ciri supposedly lost all her time based abilities which made her into a normal human. However, despite loosing said abilities, she still has elder blood in her veins. Like you said, the Trail of the grasses is 100% lethal but it's theorized also that her surviving a form of the trail of grasses is because of her elder blood. Moreover, her elder blood might have even given her stranger mutations compared to other witchers.
@@ravenmadd3895funny thing is, yes there was a 100% death rate. BUT overall they confirmed tried it TWICE which is hardly enough for a statistic, they mainly didnt do it because they didnt want to subject young girls to the extreme death rate, So tradition. But nothing says they CANT be
@@ravenmadd3895 Correct me if I'm wrong, but in the lore, or the game lore, it's never actually specifically mentioned that girls can't become witchers, it's just that the creator switched to only experimenting on boys after it seemed like all the girls were dying, meaning that it's not impossible that girls can't become witchers, it's just that they seemed to have such high mortality rate, that no one bothered to try harder. It has been confirmed that Ciri has gone through the Trial of Grasses before the events of this trailer, so she is a full fledged witcher now, hence why she can use witcher signs. And before you say it breaks the lore, I want to remind you that Witcher 3 actually established that the Trial can be modified in different ways, including in a way that an adult elf can survive a modified version of it. Thus, I don't think it's far fetched at all to assume that someone can modify the Trial so that girls can survive, or at least have higher chances of survival. You could also make the case that Ciri might have even better chances to survive the Trial due to her having the elder blood.
Calling it right now, the game is going to be about "fate" and how Ciri can go back to "time" to prevent the consequences of the decisions she make, like in the trailer she decided to fight the monster insread of returning home with the girl, with the monster be like "Fate cannot be changed". As for her mutation i believe its gonna happen with Ciri going in a world were she can be mutated differently of hwo Gerald did
I think the implication is that the only thing actually putting them in danger was this thing. The only thing these sacrifices prevented was this thing itself coming and killing people.
Watching this as a trailer and not as part of the awards show kind of takes away from the spectacle of it. You aren't supposed to know what you're watching.
did she lost her elven powers? she is more like a witcher geralt now. I think they scratched the plan to have custom protaganist but I dont mind it if Ciri. I hope the combat will be improved and more rpg elements.
ye cd project red has some explainig to do: - ciri dont have or dont use her powers - gerald and yen would never allow her to become a real witcher - females cant survive the trial of grass (its explcitly said they try but it is impossible) - never has an adult male or female undergo the trial of grass and survived - nobody know anymore how to make a new witcher - ciri cant use witcher signs because she is a conduit to raw magic oh sorry sorry nevermind grumpy old me, yeah man she looks badass! the trailer is awesome!!!
There's a theory floating round that Ciri allegedly lost all her dimension and time powers stopping the white frost at the ending of the witcher 3. Besides that, another theory also says that perhaps Ciri may have survived the trials considering she has elder blood inside her which may have given her more resilience to the chemicals in the trials. This might even given her different mutations considering her unique genetics as well as biology. Doubt there would be any other female witchers besides Ciri since she's a special case. Though for nobody knows how to make a new witcher, iirc correctly, yennefer and the rest of the wolf school knew how considering they had to do a form of the trials on uma in the game. So they definitely know, just hesitant to use it so it makes me wonder what lore reason as to why Ciri would take the trials.
@RSL1836 Hi there I am a Clip Channel that takes a Streamers reaction and post them for others. And my Question is Do you know what clip channel is in the first place
The developers' choice to make Ciri the main character is too strange. I wonder how Ciri became a full-fledged witcher. According to the book, it was said that women cannot become witchers. How did ciri undergo mutations if they are carried out at a young age. Since at this age the body is more flexible to change. I can still play for ciri. But making her a full-fledged witcher is not a particularly smart idea, I think. Besides, where is her teleportation magic with the battle with the monster? And he fights like a simple witcher, using witcher signs and elixirs.
It is Different yes But it would be cool to see I like Ciri's character And I would like to see what she has been up to But I do hope to see Geralt and play as him to
I think it's a great idea. Geralt's story is over so focusing on Ciri as the future protagonist is the only logical move forward for the game. Sure, there might have been other options for fans of the book series but the greater majority of players have never read them. It's important to note that the game's storyline is an adaptation and expansion of the source material, providing creative liberties to explore alternative character developments. Therefore, while Ciri's portrayal as a Witcher aligns with the game's narrative direction, it differs from her depiction in the original books. And I'm OK with that. The bigger issue here is, just how far of is this game for release?! 😅
Yeah.. the only way they could ruin this shit.. is by doing this! So now we have what was a great franchise.. is just now a follow up to where ciri went during the third game.. or we just gonna pretend we didn't spend the 3rd game chasing her just get shafted here? Why not go another Witcher school? I won't be touching this now..thanks CDPR

You find Geralt as the gwent grandmaster in a continental tournament.
