Repost due to copyright strike. I'm not sure if it was genuine or bogus. I think it was from the stock music in the :60 client work I posted at the end of the video.

Hahahah. Thought I was going insane for a bit.... Watched for the first couple of mins... thinking this seems very similar to another I watched recently. 😂
Great work, been watching for about a year now. Love the information you put out and hearing your thoughts. Thanks for all your time and effort

@@TheTechnoPilot I think it was scam and YT sided with the other company and swept the ad revenue to them, all $5 -10 dollars. Oh well.

Another great behind-the-scenes video - and Beck is killing it as your assistant and has a great leg up in the game by the virtue of learning from such a pro and starting early - that's awesome.

You're 100% correct about the internet vs the reality of daily work.

"Choosing the best gear that has the widest spread of usability". Dead on. True north statements like this are exactly why I watch your vids. 👏🏻

this is easily my favorite youtube channel now. not sure how i found you, but thanks for doing what you do! super practical advice that's invaluable for many of us just getting started and thinking about where to invest money/time. finally got a fs7mkii, a bit wimpish compared to the burano, but i also love the shoulder form factor. felt pressured to go mirrorless for a while (fx30) until i found this channel. happy with the switch!

I know it's a repost! But totally agree about the sentiment about having a proper owner operator style ACAM. From C300's to FS7s, there are a ton of reasons that cameras , like the Burano are just the better tool for solo operators. Just like the Amira, C500, FX9, all cameras that are the expected level for most owner operators. Sure the FX6 is very popular, but if you can swing for the bigger and better cameras and justify the business expense, it all makes sense to me.

You have the perfect setup. I use an FX3 and I love it on a gimbal. It’s my favorite camera in the world for documentaries. It’s so small and unassuming and people warm right up and forget that a camera is there, and the image quality is superb.
But I don’t like it as an A camera when I need monitors, timecode, ND, a viewfinder and I want a button for everything.
EDIT: and there is a big difference between a shoulder mounted camera and a gimbal. Like, a profound psychological difference that I can’t describe.

How do those little monitors do outside? I feel like I’ve seen them recently on bh . Less than $150 if I’m correct.
