I saw two random episodes of it, did not like it. Steven IS the universes problem. He is responsible for every issue in the show. I hate humor based on pure stupidity. Same reason i never watched Soul Eater, the first 3 episodes showed that all the characters were completely incompetent, and had no business doing what they were doing. I guess you could say Steven Universe is what you would get if Finn from Adventure Time was a total idiot with unlimited magical power. It's not something i'd watch, but it seems to be the type of humor 90% of people prefer.

He behaves like a normal ten-year-old would in his type of situation. He's not perfect and he makes mistakes; but he learns from his mistakes and grows as both a person and a character. And the humor is not entirely based on stupidity. There's some really smart humor throughout the series coupled with some fantastic dramatic moments. I'll admit that the series does start out a bit slow but it quickly becomes better and better. Plot threads and moments you don't expect to think about all that much come back when you don't expect them to and show that there's more to them than you originally thought. Which two episodes did you see? Episodes I recommend that you check out before deciding whether to continue with the show or completely drop it are "So Many Birthdays", "Rose's Room", "Fusion Cuisine", "On the Run", "Maximum Capacity", and "Rose's Scabbard". There are others but those were some I thought of at the topic of my head that show the show and its characters at their best.
