You have a dress on display in a museum... As they say in the (Ottawa) Valley - hold up a minute. I'm sorry, can you roll that back again - that is absolutely wonderful. Well done, you! As far as artists categorizations go, I'm leaning more towards "Multi-media artist", as opposed to 'mixed media' or 'textile artist' because of all the work you do with your photographers and your YT work. Thus is my theory of the case for what you start your official catalogue biography with.
*A Tickle Trunk* - (definition) a small child-size trunk strong enough to double as seating; the contents of which are costumes, props and dress-up clothing. The name for the trunk comes from multi-decade-long-running-TV-show _Dr. Dress-Up_. He was one of my TV adults, along with Sesame Street and The Electric Company, who made a lasting impression on the Boomer & Generation X and some of the Millennial generations. Any of us with kids will have some sort of trunk...
That way the wee small lord of the household can play dress-up whenever the heck he wants to (which may help with some of the clothing rejection pile). Anything kids can grab on their own steam, without the help of an 'up-sie', is going to be played with more. Just a suggestion.
That. Dress. Is. Beautiful.

Stine, this violet dress you were wearing had me on a crazy optical ilusion! I was thinking "wow, christine's waist is snatched in this corset she's wearing!", and then you moved your arms and I realized those were actually lines in your dress, I was so confused for a second lol, it's a really pretty secret cosplay dress!
I totally got that same vibe until she moved her arms. I was trying really hard to figure out how she was achieving that fit at first. Christine looks great in it, and I can totally see that it is wonderfully comfortably. I wonder if she will be tempted to recreate the jacket in a manner that she prefers at some point. But, either way the dress is a win. Of course, this Sleepy Hollow 'summer' dress is also a major win.
Painting the problematic bits was BRILLIANT!
Such a nice way of wearing history !
The craftsmanship, the effort, the talent, and every dress is better than previous.Of course we want more content ☺️❤️❤️
I got immediate Violet Evergarden vibes from the dress you were wearing, so I just had to look at the description, glad to see I'm not crazy. It looks so good as a regular dress!! It's such a great idea and I might steal it ^^'
I love how this turned out. Its sew pretty. The twirl factor is, as Rachel Maksy would put it, the chef's kiss 😘 It would have been fun to see it next to Bee-tlejuice in all of his cuteness. Can you hold your little guy longer wearing this dress too, like you can with the Belle inspired dress?
I love that you added pockets.
Clothing manufacturers take note: we want POCKETSSSS!
Your pale pink dress is stunning…. This is my absolute favorite dress and version of her dress along with the baby blue dress… the outfit for your son was so cute…
I don't know why, but seeing you in those red bottoms just made me so happy.
You win the pumpkin patch for life!! What a fun and flattering dress!
The whole video I was looking at your dress and wanting it so badly, and as I kept watching I realized why it looked so familiar. Went to the 'about' section of the video and confirmed I was indeed at big ol' nerd and yelled "THAT'S VIOLET EVERGARDEN!!"
I loved this video and I for sure what to get this pattern so I can make something like this for myself. I love cosplay as real everyday clothes!
Both of the secret cosplay dresses are brilliant
Your dresses and cosplays are ALWAYS the highlight of my viewing pleasure, but THAT WAS A LONG-STEMMED TEA CUP. You are irresponsibly kindling some very frivolous NEEDS here.
I knew you’re wearing Violet’s dress! And it makes me incredibly happy and distracted throughout the whole video. I’m watching this again I guess 😂
Holy crap! Congrats on your dress being in the Museo!!!!! Thats a HUGE accomplishment!!!
That is such a fun dress! Instantly recognizable as being inspired by the Sleepy Hollow, but still original and absolutely gorgeous. I adore all your cozy versions of famous dresses, and am always looking forward to the next one! The whole time, I was wondering where I had see that dress before. I love Violet, too, although the series made me cry every episode. TuT

That shirt or dress your wearing while explaining everything is beautifulllll those sleeves are just *chefs kiss*
At 19:50, your voice-over cuts out abruptly and goes straight to the end credits sound just so you know.
I love this dress so much! I have some gray and black striped quilter's cotton that I totally want to do the same thing with.
Thank you so, so much for letting me know! I fixed it on YT! I so appreciate it!
Like others I've always loved this dress and shortening it makes it very wearable.
The Violet Evergarden dress you are wearing is absolutely beautiful. I kinda want one now.
Wait, your dress is in a museum??? You go, girl!! =)
Awesome!❤️❤️ Patience and diligence outstanding and the dress is in a museum! I feel I am so lucky to have a sewing friend I can access to daily!🙂🙂
I love your attention to detail. Coloring over the white thread is brilliant
“I decided to ignore it”. Those are the words I live by!
…And fabric markers for when I can’t 😝
Look's good, and it's is still a decent length even though it is shorter.
Wow! The short version suits you so well!
I love the dress and watching you make it... but.. that tea cup/wine glass in the last shot! So brilliant!
Wow what a great job. Those stripes would have made me cross eyed. Both your dresses are chefs kiss.
I recognized the dress but wasn’t sure till I saw the back! Such a lovely rendition (and a great show)
I love this dress.
the idea of a somewhat modernized 18th century dress reminds me of Mariah Pattie's videos! (lowkey just want more people to know about her, when i find out friends also watch costube no one ever knows her but me and i'm just over here like NO SHE'S GREAT GO WATCH PLS)
I don’t know Maria Pattie, I’ll check her, thanks for the recommendation!
I love both the Sleepy Hollow dress and the one you did last year. This one looks fun to wear. I can imagine you and your family picnicking with you wearing it, the cute and adorable dogs frolicking in the foreground and you discussing your next Violet cosplay gown. Hope your Maksoween was fun. Until next time. Thanks for all. PS why not make the a Medici gown that you saw at the Met?
Totally amazing by your talent and you ability to balance your full time, and stressful job, family and hobbies.
Yes, yes, yes. Oh yes, I will be buying your pattern. I needed this pattern. Thank you so much! This is absolutely stunning and I love secret cosplay. I used to always dress up in something harkened from Skyrim.
I absolutely love that you create these beauties as "house dresses"! I also appreciate so much all the practicality you bring to these sewing projects, from the fabric marker to the bias tape waist band, making each project so do-able and much less stressful! Very inspiring, as always!
I love this dress so much also thank you for taking the time to make a pdf pattern available for us ❤️ I'm always happy whenever you upload and I needed a little bit of an escape today ❤️ thanks again
That's so coool that your dress is in the museum!
My favorite movie dress
Sooooooo beautiful and so cute. This is wonderfully done and I thank you for making the pattern available.
"Casual" *walks through the yard in Louboutins*
(Gorgeous though!)
This is so fun, now I want to make a modern 19th century dress! Thanks!
This is so cool! So many different versions of the same dress but it'is stil the one!
ps. "My son tends to refuse stiff fabrics..." - sounds like a child with a costume maker parent :D
I LOVE this dress AND your Violet Evergarden dress is also amazing!
I have so enjoyed watching you show and explaining how you create your dresses...you are a great teacher 😀
Amazing! La Femme En Noir has made one of these shorter Katrina dresses available for preorder too, but it’s slightly too short for my tastes (I prefer a lower calf length dress) so perhaps I’ll try my hand at this too.
It's SOOO funny because AFTER I made one, I was looking for sleepy hollow images and ran across it! I love the way that they belted theirs!
Can't you just imagine her wearing her new frock and shopping for groceries...
Hehehe, I definitely have done that already in this. The lady checking me out complimented my dress!
In love with This dress! I get overwhelmed when it all to be hand or old machine stitched. Not denigrating BB! Or Cathy Hay! Oy.... I am actually thinking I might make this frock Dr. Sewstein
I adore your violet evergreen dress. It's so good. Adore. Also this more casual sleepy hollow dress is so very my vibe
Three of your yellow dress? Honestly, that's super smart! I've been in love with it since I saw your first video. Of course, your created dress is beautiful as always. Such pro work. 💕
This turned out SO INCREDIBLY CUTE!!!! ♡♡♡
Aaah new Sewstine video! I am excited! I swear, every one of these is so inspiring and just makes my day infinitely better. Thank you! Also the dress is beautiful
Those buttons are such a great touch!
Thanks for showing how the dress closed that's a great option to fake a stomacher
Hi Sewstine!
I love you and your content, and I want to get into sewing. Have you sewn any sleep dresses? If so, would you be willing to detail her process someday? BTW, you really inspire me! I want to become a neonatal nurse. Seeing you have such a demanding job and still manage to do what you love while having a family is inspiring! Have a good day
The best thing about making clothes is that they can be customized! So making it with the persons likes and dislike is definitely the way to go :) also, I adore your dress! And Violet is such a good anime!
Oh I have Violet Evergarden on my “To Watch” list! Glad to see someone give it a good rec. super cute dresses, I love the casual IRL cosplay.
I would absolutely add a thin green strip down the sides of the black stripes.. or green marker …trust me you will thank me …it will add definition to the look.. n give it that grudge look ..
I know the video is about the sleepy hollow dress, but I am totally enamored by the Violet Evergarden dress!
I wouldn't ever be bored of watching your videos on the sleepy hollow dressers! and the white dress you wore in this is so gorgeous.
Thank you for including the process for drafting and matching pattern. I also very much enjoy the tips on how you matched the threads to the pattern! Hope to one day use this newfound sewing knowledge in the future :)
Yesssss love this project you did and love violet evergarden ❤️
I love seeing historical dresses made modern, and this is cute on you. Not a …. Sorry forgot the name of the film this dress is based on 😅 as I’ve never been interested in watching it (different cup of tea to my liking) but I love the enthusiasm you have and how much you have enjoyed the dresses (and even have one in a museum if I’m not mistaken?) 💖🥰 kinda infectious in a good way. Looking forward to what else you create~!
Looks so fun!
This is a dream dress!
This is so pretty. I love it!
I knew you would come back one day with this dress ❤️
Amazing as always! It looks phenomenal!
OMG I love ❤️ Violet evergarden!! But while you were sitting down I didn’t recognise that it’s her dress, I just said to myself, wow that is a beautiful dress…

Such a wonderful idea and creation!! Also I absolutely love the skeeves and collar of the dress you are wearing!
