I live close to where this happened, he use to work at sloppy joes in Colchester high street (the restaurant isn't there any more). The whole thing is weird, how he acted after
Jeremy Bamber is guilty, he claimed to have received a phone call from his father warning him that his sister had a gun and had gone crazy, but there are a number of reasons why this supposed phone call makes no sense at all. So, how did he know there was a potential massacre at the farm unless he did it himself?
His schizophrenic sister has gone crazy with a gun - - - - - - is not saying he knows what's happened......he knows what a gun might do, like everyone. The British The Sunday Times did a brilliant article about that I thought he was wrongfully convicted.......a friend of mine works with lie detectors, he thinks new designs are better.....the Spanish have guys wired up to lie detectors throughout court appearances - Spanish law allows compulsory subjection to tests - police in English speaking countries are rather unenthusiastic about these.
what are the "many reasons" why it makes no sense? well for starters, if someone is going nutty with a gun.... why call the brother instead of the police?
After his dad phoned him, JB phoned the police because he was worried about the gun. His dad ALSO phoned the police about 10 minutes after JB did, he said he was usually able to deal with her but this time he couldn't and he asked the police to attend as well.
Emma Kenny a British psychologist has done a very deep dive on this case very recently, which has opened up the possibility that Jeremy is not guilty. I think he is but it is worth checking out if you are keen. Great recap as usual Chris.

The same detective who took home evidence and burned it in his back garden? That very same detective who was employed by the Boutflour and Eaton families after he left the force?

Even if he did it, there’s too much reasonable doubt. It’s a horrible, evil crime but I’m leaning towards Sheila. The family and girlfriend don’t seem very reliable.
I saw the in depth documentary about this case. It was either on Netflix or Amazon Prime. After seeing the documentary, I honestly don’t know. Jeremy was definitely an over privileged narcissist. (I don’t know if he’s actually been diagnosed with Narcissistic Personality Disorder) However, he had a bitter ex Julie, who definitely sought her revenge by testifying against him. Because prior to that, she supported him. I also think the police doctored evidence. The main problem for me was that the prosecution explanation of how Jeremy got to and from his cottage and the farm. The route they allege Jeremy took, on his bicycle, just didn’t seem possible. Most of the route that was alleged, was an unpaved and pitched dark. He didn’t have a dirt bike. I don’t think he could’ve ridden a road bike or an off road bike as quickly as was alleged. It was an unpaved path that supposedly cut through orchards or fields. This was the 1980s and no one had electric bikes. A motorcycle, dirt bike, or scooter would have been spotted. I actually don’t think a scooter would have been capable of that unpaved path/route. He had to have taken a bike, because if he had driven, a number of people would have seen him or noticed his car.
I have always looked at the cousins with a side eye because in older documents where they talk there’s no emotion and they seem to enjoy the fact that they caught him but not in the I caught the killer more they got away with the money
The police had accepted it as murder suicide. It was later that the silencer was found by the cousin and given to police. I think they did a shoddy job searching the house at the start because they accepted it as murder suicide before they even went into the house.
I believe he did it. That's why the children were murdered so no one would stand in his way in regard to the inheritance. He also didn't seem like the sweet uncle type
I think a new trial is warranted, regardless if he's guilty or innocent. Soly, based on this video, there is reasonable doubt. The case needs to be reopened and gone through with a fresh perspective. With modern/advanced CSI techniques and better scientific machines and procedures, a more accurate picture could be unveiled.
