    Keyboard giants Tom Coster AND Chester Thompson with Carlos, backed by a world-class percussion section of Raul Rekow, Armand Peraza, Orestes Vilato and Graham Lear... Incredible line-up of musicians...

    The Santana band is thee Ultimate Jam Band! And also, this is for the naysayers that say that Santana can't play rhythm guitar.

      @@olecranonrebellion9976 In the same Japanese TV broad cast as this one, Carlos plays "Samba Pa Ti" Carlos plays his Yamaha SG2000: ua-cam.com/video/1B3lyEA_NWE/v-deo.html. Sounds just like the Les Paul and the PRS would have sounded very similar as Carlos has constantly tweaked his Mesa Boogie amps over the years and was pedal swapping between cabinets to get different tones. There are also severeal concerts clips to be found on UA-cam from the early 80' (e.g. try watching th US festival concert from 1982: ua-cam.com/video/cOAdYaD_DPo/v-deo.html) where Carlos was playing both the Yamaha SG 2000 and PRS in the same concert. Hasdly any difference in the tone. These days he plays both Mesa Boogie (King Snake re-issue), Dumbles and Bludotone.

    Nice. You don't usually see Carlos with a Les Paul after he switched to Yamahas.

      And... Then again in 1983 as because he shifted to PRS in around 1981 using the 1st prototype guitar (no commercial model with certain commercial model name, serial number, price etc) made for him by Mr PRS

    • @greatunz67
      @greatunz67 4 роки тому

      He stopped using Yamahas by 1981, from 1982 onwards it has always been PRS, so yeah it was weird seeing him with a Les Paul, and it sounded pretty crappy here, nowhere close to the singing sting he got on the PRS doing this song on the album and on live bootlegs from that era
