I tried a different AquaMarina last year and the board seemed quite unstable. Me and my husband both fell in the water a 3-4 times in our 2h trip. But I do believe that you learn balancing as you go, just make sure that you don't fall on rocks or into very cold water while learning.

Thanks for the comment and agree that learning takes a little time. It could be that you were on a board too small for your size which is why you fell in a lot. Glad you are enjoying paddling! Thanks Beau

Just came across your channel now and I really enjoy watching everything you publish. Thank you for the great content you put out.
I’ve done a lot of supping on a cheaper all round 10’ board and feel now it’s time to upgrade and was looking at the Coral Cruise with high interest, because I want more speed and ability to bring cargo for longer trips. I’m only 5’ and my weight fluctuates btw 50-55 kg.
Also been looking at the iRocker newer Ultra models because of the double fold, many D-rings and handles which make those very attractive too.
But for my small size, should I just stick to a short all round board you think?
I’m having a though time deciding because I’m unsure if I’ll be able to get anywhere in wind and wavy conditions on these bigger boards. Or would 15-30 kg cargo maybe help and make these boards a good option for me?

Thanks for the comment. Sorry for the delay. The AM Coral Touring would be a better choice. You'll get a faster board compared to the iRocker Cruise and for your size, the narrower outline will make paddling easier. Plus, you ca still carry lots of gear. Hope this helps! Beau

Hopefully! We have been speaking with iRocker to review more of their equipment.

I have the impression that all boards are made in the same Chinese factory, with the same specs.. let’s be honest, there is no shape, rocker.. these tests are nonsense

The boards have different dimensions and volume and construction. Those do make a difference. However, for the most part you are right. There are a few factories in places such as China, Thailand, Vietnam and so forth. The brands tell these factories what boards they want in terms of graphics, sizes and construction type. The composite board manufacturing chain works in very much the same way though.

@@theseb1979 you might be right, I’ve had quite a few inflatable SUPs, Starboard, Red, Mistral, Decathlon.. and to be honest I don’t see quite a big difference between the most expensive and the cheapest ones. Sure, outline is slightly different but rocker, thickness, deck pad, valve, fins.. everything is conditioned by the drop stitch tech.. not to criticise, but to make people relax, whatever board you buy, let’s say from > 500 eur, it will be the ultimate summer toy. Expending +1000 eur does not make a lot of sense, imho

A lot of SUPs are made in the same factories in China. Each have their own manufacturing differences but in essence they are all drop stitch material and PVC just shaped a little differently. The top premium brands do use better graded materials, processes and design features to create a higher quality and better perfuming product.
      Cheers, Beau
