- On this episode of Roadside Attractions we visit Dollywood for it’s 2022 Flower & Food Festival & the Dolly Parton Statue in her hometown, Sevierville.

So fun fact Jay, that drop tower is no longer open as it’s the same manufacturer as the drop tower in Icon Park in Orlando where that boy died on. For precautionary reasons they flat out closed it.
I enjoy you both separately, but you guys are just a joy to watch together as well! ❤️

The most beautiful theme park in the world with the most amazing person on the planet! Seriously the best time!!! The only thing missing was about 4 extra hours of sleep, some cinnamon bread, a flower cookie, and like, 10 more hours in the park haha! I can't wait to go back!!!! I wish Blazing Fury was slower so I could ride it!! The train ride was awesome and so was the cars! I still say I drove last :P Also, I didn't realize you legit never made the butterflies appear in the confusing museum place. Are.... are you a vampire...??!?!?!?! Who knew we could cry so much in one video too, wow.... Happy mother's day to all the moms out there! Also, love how we had a sweet moment on the tram while the lady was talking about trash LOLOL!!!! Great video sweetheart!!!
So happy to see you vlog from Dollywood. Im subscribed to several who vlog from here. I just enjoy seeing the different experiences each one has. Ok so when you got teary eyed I did as well. It just shows you have a tender heart. And that is something special. I truly enjoyed this. It made my day brighter. Looking fwd to more adventures. 💕

Wow Jay, I almost feel like you were playing in my back yard. I been going there since I was a little kid, that area never gets gets old. Excellent Coverage!!! For sure!

On my bucket list Dollywood I helped Dolly off the Haunted Mansion in the early 80s at Disneyland love you two and the video thanks.
When you go back you really need to go to her museum. It is so cool. Since I grew up not far away and am around Dolly’s age, it brings back a lot of memories. And her dresses and shoes! So tiny. Also there is another area where they have a movie about her life. When she jumps into the swimming hole, you get splashed. Leaves fall in the theater in the fall, etc.
I’m happy you went to Dollywood and took us along. I have always wanted to go there. The movie Coats if Many Colors is usually on TV around Christmas.
LOVE Dollywood! The crowds are tame for Mothers Day/Flower and Food festival. Beat the heat and Disney crowds and venture to Dollywood, it’s refreshing. Something for all in this park, can’t wait to visit again!

Dollywood has been one of my top bucket list parks for so long! The flower and food stuff looks absolutely beautiful… as if the park wasn’t pretty enough already 😍 Loved that you showed off Dolly’s hometown at the beginning of the video. What an amazing and inspiring woman 👏

Awesome video Jay and Cris! Many of us will be sad when you leave Cris tomorrow, albeit temporarily. By the way, today (5/9) is the anniversary of a recording setting event in Hershey PA.

I love the Smoky Mountain area, there's so much to do. Thanks for the tour of Dollywood Jay & Cris, this park is on my huge bucket list of places I want to see before I get too old. There's a few coasters at Cedar Point that take off right away & first time I rode those it took me by surprise lol. Safe travels.

That is so awesome TJ. Love that you get to explore Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. We go there every 3 years. Take Chris on a hike. Laurel Falls or Clingmans Dome. Chris is a good singer.

You remember right, Chasing Rainbows is where the Dolly museum was. It was amazing, I hope the butterfly garden hasn't replaced it permanently?
I visited Dollywood once with my 2 teenage kids about 15 years ago. A beautiful park. It exceeded my expectation a lot. Also did the waterpark which was great. I like Dollywood much more than Disney, more real in the mountains and not all man made.

Oh I love that 56 Plymouth. There was a yellow & white 56 in Auburndale Fl a few years back that is long gone. I love all kinds of classic cars and know a few with films cars. One restored with parts from the John Carpenter's Christine 58 Plymouths. The owner Bill Gibson lives in Florida and he takes his Christine to the Exotic Car show in Celebration Fl.

Blazing fury is the icon it has been there since the late 70s when the park was known as silver dollar city Dollywood is a sister park to the Branson Missouri park

I've only ever been to Dollywood twice once during a sixth grade field trip & again many years later with my mom,dad,brother & some friends of the family & i really enjoyed both times oh yeah & speaking of dollywood here's a little something about me i had never ridden a rollercoaster until going to dollywood on my sixth grade field trip & just a few days before the trip me & my brother watched Final Destination 3 & if anyone here has seen that final destination then you'll know about the rollercoaster scene & you can probably guess how i was feeling just before hopping on my first rollercoaster which btw was Tennessee Tornado
We went and seen dolly and Dollywood too this weekend lol

my guess guys as to the "FIREMAN" rollercoaster rides and dedications, is because of the "GATLINBURG" wildfires that burned through the area back in November 2016 -December 2016, it destroyed a lot of property 2 billion in damages, i also think the rides and such are a BIG thank you to the firemen who put it out, and risked their lives for all who have a steak and businesses in that area.
dollywood is kindy like silver dollar city in Branson,mo they got water clock too last time i was at the dooly wood stand pee eat watch the show so cool also that ride is like fire in the hole you 2 need to go Branson,mo silver dollar city i live in Bartlesville,ok just 3 hours26min but we lie to stop used restroom ty for video this

It’s kinda hard to go to Dollywood and not film a whole time especially with you haven’t been there in 16 years LOL always try to keep it as short as I can but if I feel the need I will make some 10 hours long haha Appreciate you watching buddy thank you so much!

That seems like a great place to go and, have fun. That's a real train 🚆, not a pretend one most theme parks have. I was wondering how long does the train ride last? I wonder why poor people have so many kids? 🤔 Maybe that's why they're poor 😕?
You should go to Kenneywood near Pittsburgh PA sometime. It's a great old theme park.
Hopefully you're flight ✈ gets canceled going back to Tampa. Than you get another day together, lol 😆. Of course the one time you want it to happen it won't. As you say, it's not the end and, there's much more ahead for you 2.

I've been to Dollywood a lot of times and I've ridden all the rides except lightning rod. How is it? Is it an RMC? Honestly everytime I've been there it breaks down lol.

@@TampaJay Silver Dollar City is awesome! Both my parents worked there when I was little. Mom worked at a funnel cake stand and my dad was the tram manager. I got to dress up in the old time clothes and skip to the front of any ride!! I was there when the first wooden coaster opened and rode it about 10 times back to back! My best friend parents had the wood works station ( go right from the front of the park just past the blacksmith). Such awesome memories!!!!
