      Dude, I'm pumped you're going back through my "older" videos! Thank you so much for the support!

    I've been having a similar issue with my Trion. Standard deviation as bad as 30 sometimes. Thanks to this video and your Trion customer service video, I now know a lot more about my Trion. Thank you for this very informative video. I'll add that plumbers tape under my plunger o ring as well. Im using the OOD Trion PCar and I have to use both spacers to get 180ish FPS

      Happy to hear the videos helped! I really enjoy fielding my Trion. It's such a sleek blaster. Thanks for the support!

    Probably the plunger leaking. If you cover the end of the plunger tube and push In the plunger it should stop. I also separate the pusher & barrel assembly and cover one end & blow in them to check the seals. Check barrel and breach, breach & pusher, pusher&plunger tube then the plunger & plunger tube. If the plunger fits too tight in the plunger tube you will actually lose performance though. Just put the T238 on my Harrier, now I wish I could shoot through it full auto

      Yeah I'm about 100% sure the leak is in the plunger tube/plunger rod. I'm probably just going to leave it alone for now. Thanks for watching!

      @@backyardfoam Are you seeing any low muzzle velocities? It will leak down over a handful of seconds.

      I wasn't seeing anything lower than what was advertised on the packaging. In my original review of the blaster I notice the air leak and was seeing if there was potential improvement and performance to be gained.

      @@backyardfoam Thanks for the detailed review, just finished watching it. Feel like I should do a video response instead of a long comment but don't have the time.
      The plunger tube is 1 piece of plastic, the black part inside is the bumper, it does not seal anything. The o-ring on the piston is a floating seal design, it's supposed to be loose, it inflates under acceleration and provides a good seal and low friction so it does not slow the piston acceleration. If it leaks anywhere it will be the press fit of the barrel to the chamber, but if it holds air for several seconds it doesn't really impact performance unless you have an incredibly long barrel. The current design, in order to hit the 3 power levels, the barrel isn't optimized for any of them so it's a compromise. It's under-barrled at 2 spacers for instance, so the dart is long gone while there is still pressure in the barrel. This does mean however that if you want more performance and are okay losing the low end you can just add a long barrel (some people are very close to hitting 300fps). You might want to check your chrono and also darts, the deviations here are quite high compared to what we test. We see +/- 1 or 2 fps with new darts with no SCAR, +/-2-4 fps with a SCAR. You might have some old or damaged darts as the low numbers are quite low and probably pulling the averages down. The gold standard is to shoot the same new dart a few times into a trap. That measures the consistency of the blaster with the dart taken out of the equation. One thing we have found is that purple Worker Gen3+ darts are very oversized. We've pulled them out of our testing, they shoot incredibly slowly and inconsistently in every platform we test. The red Gen3+ darts are now all we use. Just chronographed a stock Trion, 2 spacers, shooting 197-204 fps with red Gen3+. We do recommend running a SCAR with any dart at 1 or 2 spacers. We ran out of time to ship ours but will be releasing our own SCAR design as a 3D print and probably have that as an injection molded part in future products.
      If you do want to improve your seal in the plunger I'd suggest just cleaning and relubrication of all the o-ring with a very light silicone grease, or a thicker (350cSt) silicone oil. If it's been handled a lot it could just be dirty and dry. Even a single hair laying across the o-ring can cause a small leak in the seal.
      And lastly, thanks for the shout-out for our 3D printed parts, we'll be releasing more here and there.

      @@blasterface22 thanks for the response. This is really good info! I'm very hesitant to put a longer barrel in because I love the teal color so much. Are you guys planning on releasing any additional barrel lengths? Thanks again!

    Trion or harrier?

      @backyardfoam  Рік тому

      If I had to pick one and I had the extra the cash, I would go Harrier. Build quality is on another level & quality of life features are a welcome addition. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love my Trion, but I have to admit the Harrier is just a superior blaster. You'll have to comment back on what you decide and how you like it!
