The way organic chemistry tutor breaks down complex and even more seemingly basic concepts helps A TON; for ex., when he spells out things like what a secondary carbon is (attached to two other carbons in addition to the substituent of focus like the Br leaving group)
read ahead and came into class with questions about "carbo-kay-shuns" instead of "carbo-cat-eye-ons". 😭 also, the book "organic chemistry as a second language" will save your life.
At 7:24 why wouldn't the carbon shif back to the place it was in priorly because if it did that it would have 1 extra alpha-hydrogen right? So more +H and more stability for the carbonation...
I have to ask if let's assume that 1-Bromo-3,3-Dimethylbutane it forms a primary carbocation in +nce of H2O, will the final product by 3,3-Dimethylbutan-2-ol or 2-Methylbutan-2-ol.
Hi, thank you very much for explaining this otherwise pretty counterintuitive concept. One question though: if we were very strict, wouldn't there be two isomers in the last example, since we formed a chiral centre that wasn't there before the reaction? Thanks in advance and keep up with the good work:)
Oxygen has a positive charge because it has more than an octet configuration due to the presence of the H-ion and once that's removed it becomes a proper octet again. I think.

Please do a video on three D forces, equilibrium and moment
how old is this guy, his video from 7 years ago has little to no change in his voice...
No kidding 🤔

Ring closing reactions? I was hoping for that kind of rearranging...

Do you offer tutoring?
Hi do you have a physics 2 playlist? it would help me a lot if you do
Why is Oxygen positive @3:35, does it not have an octet, and why does removing a hydrogen make it neutral??

JG you a boss!
