Wow, great work. I've been thinking along similar lines since I bought a 60-volt joist drill a couple years ago. That thing is just portable torque that could power just about any woodworking machine in my workshop. Adding tools as lathe accessories is a great idea.

A clear dust retention bonnet, arched like the motor cover, with reach in hand openings would be good. Can then hook to dust extraction and less dust/chip clean up.
