Strider is a first or second round draft pick. I think that's too early for any pitcher. There are too many great hitters in the first 2 rounds. Roll the dice and take your chances.
The Top 3 Pitchers produce enough points to warrant a 1st Round Pick, and Strider certainly could be one.
I agree though Pitching is Deep, and you can stream it to so I typically go for the stud batters first couple of rounds
There is absolutley NO way you can predict what a pitcher will do year to year. Its a lotto. Sometimes numbers going down are they are slightly injured pitching thru it. Very very few pitchers you can count on to put up consistent numbers yr after yr.
Yea that's what I was saying when you mentioned Joe Ryan in that other video. I started drafting him more lol but yea idk about him either it's weird he cld be twins best or worst starter
Cease will have a rebound year and he will probably go to a contender. Don't bet on him to be a bust. Luzardo is 26 and he might go too high in drafts but I don't see him as a bust. Joe Ryan is a good first half pitcher. Just be sure to trade him after the All Star Break. He has K's and won't hurt you on WHIP.
My busts would be: Framber Valdez, Eflin, Musgrove, Sonny Gray, Walker Buehler, and Christopher Sanchez. I'd even throw Snell and Montgomery in there but they are dropping every day they aren't signed. Snell is a terrible first half pitcher but down the stretch he really turns it on.
Stuff+ is awesome and it's why I love graham ashcraft his stuff+ is #1 so this year I'm not worrying about era and whip I'm going for young guys with arm talent
Strider's form and delivery is proper for yielding less injury, because he "Strides" toward the plate, rather than planting his leg. Pun intended. There is research on this. It ends up putting less pressure on the elbow. Ala Tom Seaver.
Strider consistently 100+ in the playoffs, don’t think the velo concerns are valid. Seems more like less injury concern because hes only topping out at 100% on the heat when he wants to.
Imo him throwing the fastball less last year hurt him. If anything throw it more.

You can use Yahoo for dynasty. Fantrax has a huge player pool and a ton of options. If you want something unique, Ottoneu on Fangraphs is an option.
