If Russian engineers take it as a challenge, they can definitely succeed!

Great future, I believe, not just for SSJ-100s, but MC-21s & IL 96-400M/LR - sky is the limit ! Potential customers across the global south are anxiously waiting to induct UAC & COMAC built commercial aircraft in large numbers. And, this will happen soon

Large numbers. SSJ 100 production peaked in 2014, with 36 units. All right, that's not even enough to cover the domestic demand. COMAC will be another story, but by now has not ramped up production either.

Russia had invested too much to turn back now! If all Russian airlines buy Russian built planes, the Russian aviation industry will have grabbed a tidy share of the global aviation industry.

russia is bankrupt, all money went to war, with inflation of 20% and climbing there will be no new planes.

Yes, nothing is impossible. Let them take their time to make things right rather than hurry up with mistakes. The other thing is they need to incorporate their aviation sector under one umbrella. TU 214-400, SJ-100, IL96-400 MC21-310. Better work on MC21-310 and bring all short haul/regional and long haul/international under one umbrella. That way the better. SJ to MC 21 - 100, MC 21- 214, MC 21- 310, MC21 - 400. Why have so many players producing the same thing makes no sense.

You do not understand the engineering school and traditions of different design teams in Russia. Unification will only slow down progress. And healthy competition chooses the best and higher quality product within the state. This was understood in the USSR, and now in Russia. With respect.. greetings from Khabarovsk.

@@СемёнСоковой-л5н "Unification will only slow down progress" is a very dubious statement. Unification will definitely save a lot of money. In addition, we are talking about one brand name, since aviation in Russia is a matter of national security, and therefore the state. What production and design schools should be, let them decide at the brand level.

Progress will accelerate for a certain period, but in the absence of competition it will slow down in the future. As for finances.. in Russia the attitude to money is very different from the West.. In Russia money is the result of social labor.. From this position the ruble is grown, say, for 2025.. And distributed by the state in the form of a budget and other state funds..: bonuses, subsidies, etc. So expensive is a relative concept here.. But how many resources are needed.. Let's say palladium, copper, gold, etc., here you can ask questions...

Russia has various engines that can use as a replacement, like a Progress or Soloviev design bureau engines..... The original Sukhoi had a 70% western content which are being substituted currently....

I wish the Russian aviation industry all the best. It's time to throw away Airbus and Boeing and be proud of domestic products. Even Iran, Venezuela, North Korea and Cuba will be very interested in buying it because it uses 100 percent Russian components.

Und es wird großes Interesse auf dem Markt haben weil es frei von schizophrenen Sanktionsentscheidungen der sogenannten westlichen "Werte"-welt ist.

the SS-100 was an Italian-Russian project with Leonardo been the majority leader and choose Sukhoi as a final integraror for their experience in aircraft building.... The Italians were responsible for marketing, sale and support for western countries and Russia for Asian countries....!.. The Italians abandoned the project in exchange for building the mid section of the Boeing 787.....

Well, how can you not say lies when filming a video about Russia? Of course, the 3+2 layout was taken from Boeing! yes yes yes, but this scheme existed in Soviet aircraft! It turns out that Boeing adopted this design from Soviet aircraft?
