    I can't put fandu over enough. They are an excellent replica company and the details are extraordinary.

    Awesome Video ! Great job! You've convinced me.
    I love to paint and do crafts.
    So instead of buying the dual plated.
    Going to save some money buy the Big Gold , paint , thinner and do it myself. Thanks for sharing.

    Enjoy your vids! Question about Fandu. I'm wanting to get one (or more ) of their belts but have read issues about tarnishing on their belts after a while. Have you had any issues with yours over the years? Recommend fandu fully??

    Can you let me know the brand of the brushes which you have used here.. also would I need to lacquer the paint? I'm trying to custom an IC title.. thank you

    How is it holding up almost a year later?

    Beautiful belt. Is the strap original or releathered?

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  5 років тому

      Original simulated leather. Very floppy leather. Almost too floppy. Better off getting the leather strap if you plan on ordering it from fandubelts

    Nice work, but I'm pretty sure fandu do a duel plate already

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  5 років тому +3

      Yes they do. As I explained in the videos, I won this belt in a raffle and didnt have an option but to take the all gold version. So rather than spend 300 plus dollars to buy a dual plated one, I opted to spend 4 dollars and paint it myself.

    Excellent modification I wanted to know is there a paint to touch up on the gold

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  4 роки тому

      Not sure to be honest. You can probably use one of Testors gold shades to touch up the gold. Are you looking to touch up the textured areas?

    • @OldSchoolKid8
      @OldSchoolKid8 4 роки тому

      On the gold there is some scrapes and scratches looks like the gold paint chipped off

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  4 роки тому

      You could try. It might work. Just gotta find the right shade of gold

    nice... does that silver paint scratch off easily...???

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  5 років тому

      Not at all, because the etching is so deep. For paint to scratch off you'd probably need to be handling and rubbing on the textured part alot. But your finger never touches the textured area unless you really try to touch it.

    • @Musikministeren
      @Musikministeren 5 років тому

      @@johnjon246 can you scratch it off with a fingernail if you could touch it...??

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  5 років тому

      Nope. It's on there good. You'd need paint thinner to get it off, and. Even then it. Doesnt all come off. The textured surface makes it harder for that to happen. I bet if it wasn't textured it would rub off easily.

    • @Musikministeren
      @Musikministeren 5 років тому

      @@johnjon246 okay great - did you make it thinner or just put it on as is...??

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  5 років тому

      See at the Start of the video, the little spot on the right side of where the name plate goes? I tried to remove that with paint thinner and that's what was left.

  • @rheddtx

    So it's not 2k gold? And there are people charging as if it was!

    • @johnjon246
      @johnjon246  2 роки тому

      So this belt you see here is a Fandu replica belt. A far cry from what the original big gold looks like and what's its made out of. Fandu belts never claimed this to be made of real gold. Not sure where you are seeing that people are charging money as if this belt was made out of gold, but most people in the belt collecting community know of Fandu belts, and wouldn't never fall for someone trying to pass THIS version off as a real gold plated belt.

      True true. There is a shine, but not like the original. But in the right light it blings.
