I really appreciate the graphs around the mercy system for nodes. One of the things this helps illustrate though is how the mercy system is really still lacking for requisitions. The graphs showed that after making thousands of pulls for resource nodes, we'd all be ahead, but for cases with fewer node hits, some people would be behind the old system. With the requisition mercy system, they've created the exact same scenario, except people are pulling far fewer requisitions than they are hitting resource nodes. So, there are people that are going to pulling requisitions for over a year and still see no benefit from the req mercy system. Absurd! No, they won't be worse off, but the mercy system isn't doing anything for a bunch of people for a long while.
Requisitions are a lottery, best to focus on the bread and butter aspects. I usually keep quiet but this req mercy system negative noise must be such a drain on SP morale. It's a small, exciting aspect of the game. It's reminds me of people complaining they've been playing the lottery ten years but having won the million yet.
Just hate the impossibility of getting epic character without paying... So first I failed to get Titus and Asmodeus, and I'll obviously won't manage to get the parasite, here we go... Why wouldn't Snowprint just add rotation of all unfarmable epic characters in guild wars store...
U were right, my bad, I did buy Rotbone from the war shop, and I keep buying more of his shards, but it's only thanks to that, I got Rotbone and managed to complete cadia campaign (he heals archie).

Regarding the drop rates, the starting probability is lower than before, but it starts increasing with every faliure, so the average is higher, the dry spells are shorter, and the variance is reduced. The graphs are shown just for a Legendary Mat on an elite node, but every type of material on every node has an improved droprate over the jar aystem
@@SeventhSolar it is lower. The first time on an elite node you get a 33% instead of the 40% you had before. It logs the fails from version to version, though, so if you finished yesterday with a fail you get higher chances today
It did not have a strictly better droprate. Have you seen the video? A very high percentage of the population got less materials than with the jar system! That should not happen with the new system after a month or so
The new, new system still sucks worse than the jar system. Lowering the base chance to boost the mercy chance is robbing Peter to pay Paul and 3 card Monty levels of obfuscation.

If you need to wait for a long time before saying it's "guaranteed", then it's not guaranteed. By this definition (result after waiting "long enough"), the old system was also better than jar system, as you would do better if you waited long enough. Mathematically, if the newest update is strictly better than jar, so was the old update.
The developers screwed up with the 'Find Upgrade' order. Now it takes longer to search for the higher %. It is not intuitive or set according to the highest % to the lowest %. Developers are making it harder to play. Before the patch it looked much better... Much better!

I think to fix requisition they should allow you too choose at level 15 what character appears in arena or daily quest rewards. So like you could passively acquire any common or rare character rather than it being whoever they've chosen
Need to go back to the jar system as the new system is very bad for anything lower than an epic item. I am struggling to get good drop on mirror nodes for uncommon items
Think about them as something extra that you would not have gotten anyway and they are great. If you talk about spending blackstone for them, they are not worth it IMHO

@@DeezyP at the very start it is a luxury that you can afford if you plan to spend a lot in the game. If you want to be eficient, only use blackstone for energy. Clearing the campaigns and doing the missions will get you plenty of requisitions

I hate how snowprint acts like increasing the req rate is good when you would have to be a whale to benefit from it. I started last season & decided to only buy the passes (which will still be £100 a year on a mobile game), but there's no way I'm going to get far with these unreasonable req drop rates.
It's pretty funny though, people download a game called " Tacticus" and are annoyed they can't get the top soldiers right off the bat. Almost as if they don't have the patience to understand tactics, synergy, battlefield layout , as if they just want to beat everything with 1 click. You don't get far by having legendaries you progress through upgraded characters working well together, be them legendary or not, I'd take Vindicta over Abaddon anyday.

Maybe I’m misunderstanding, but doesn’t the new “mercy” system really just ensure that everyone is as unlucky as the unluckiest? It seems like they decreased the chance of hitting in the first few raids and then ramp up probability as you keep raiding. This really actually reduces your return significantly, since the system has no memory and virtually ensures that you’ll not get more than one out of every 3 raids, and doesn’t come close to guaranteeing you’ll get one at all until many many raids go by.
@@DocDiablo13 you get decreased chance in the first after a mat (not in all nodes, some mantained the base chance) but then it increases after every single fail, until you hit again. The resulting chain of probability gives you a higher average, and smaller variance, and you are guaranteed a material after shorter dry spells. After about a month everyone will have more mats than with the jars

The forge changes are pathetic. No other word for it. You should have had the math wiz compute how much it costs to get 1 Legendary Orb starting with the three lesser Orb types. The cost for Epic to Legendary is very bad. The costs to go from Rare or Uncommon can only be described as pissing on someone and telling them it’s rain. The Banner system has an absolutely pathetic group of inaugural characters. How did this make it to production? Players generally want unfarmable characters or really good meta characters. Complete failure here. Finally, has anyone asked SP why upgrades were moved from the jar system to 1.22 which was not tested and then 1.23 which was a poorly thought out fix for 1.22. You can nerd out on math and infinity number of drops all you want but when I’m seeing occasional 50% drop rates for commons and uncommons from mirror nodes, I call it a shitty system.
Yes. What a comically mediocre group of characters for the inaugural banner system. Most players who’ve been playing for more than 3 months likely have 6 of the 8.
Can we get new campaign please? Like what’s the point of Tau faction and Tyranid faction? They literally serve no other purpose other than Arena and to dilute the loot pool.
Still sceptical about new farming system... How many players will get to those higher number of pulls to benefit from it? Old system made sure everyone got what they should and with new one is tricky.
A "faction survival" mode to replace incursion would be much more appreciated than the banner requestion. Basically, like incursion, you'd pick a faction and run througb a survival event with all of those characters unlocked for the event to iron 1 (like in faction wars). You'd use event points to buy shards for characters from that faction with only the lowest rarity available first. I might take 6 seasons but eventually you would be able to progressively unclock your favourite factions for free and, seeing that this event would be for older fully released factions, it help new players catch up on key chaeacters without it being so taegeted that every player would just end up with all the exact same meta characters. This is the furure SP.
Obviously if you had the characters already unlocked you wouldn't need to unlock them. The characters you've already got unlocked would play at the level you have them and you should be able to complete missions to upgrade event characters. With progression saved between events so that by the time you're working towards a legendary character, all characters that you don't have unlocked would be silver 2 or something.

I put a decent amount of money in this game in the early days. Way more than is justified on a mobile game. I'm done spending. I don't even buy the daily Blackstone anymore. Snowprint is exactly the same as Games Workshop. Greedy and predatory.

This game is really sucks to new players. And im not that new player, im played alot hours, hundreds hours, and im still weak to kill almost anythinh above uncommon level difficult of all type of game mode battles. So, we cant defeat the enemys requiery to gain the goods from events, Guildas, and such. Even the regular everday normal mother F3c campain its alread get too difficult, and we get stuck after the level 60-80, because the rewards needed to upgrade the characters is not enough, not for non pay to win players.
“Eventually you’ll get more” I haven’t pulled a legendary unit ever stop with the mercy system give us better drop rates. I should always get a uncommon or common upgrade for 6 energy not sometimes 18-24 energy for a single uncommon or common upgrade. All this new stuff they add helps new players yea but just throws old players like me to the side. I’ve used hundreds of requisitions prolly thousands but none of them counted for this mercy system because the system was added late. Stop catering to new players and make the game fun for everyone. Just wait til the new players find out about how shitty mid game is…..
I think it's so fun to see that people in my guild and other playing this game have such interesting jobs. It's cool to hear about guild mates' work or other hobbies, really awesome to hear about what everyone is doing out there all over the world. Do have to add that I think locking epics behind BP really sucks for those (like me) that either don't spend anything or only once in a blue moon. Hope it'll still be unlockable during some release event by missions or smth.
I like your feedback about Snowprint giving people coming in for a given faction a quick way to unlock them. I would have DEFINITELY done that with Tyranids since I missed all their release events and had to spend a year getting them by luck :(
Ew, the guild war change is terrible. We'll just use a low level player to attack a strong team a few times doing basically nothing, then a stronger one to take them out once they're significantly weaker. Weaker teams had a role already in clearing bot teams. We use a wall strategy to try stop the opponent even reaching our back lines, and this disproportionately affects teams like us, with a few strong members, and a bunch of lower level ones
I didn't have time to sift the Patch notes, and this was very well done. Pretty excited about what's to come but I'm still really looking for that legendary release event rework as a player that's been doing this less than half a year. I've dumped a significant amount of cash into the game to get my ball rolling, but those lres are extremely New player unfriendly.
The Biophagus is coming! And finally the Parasite of Mortrex! I really love these models of the Biophagus and Mortrex and I really want to see them come to life in game, also I hope they add the little guy of the Biophagus with him, his little assistant carrying a beaker
I really wish the parasite wasn't battle pass exclusive. I do hope the lil fella is added to another game mode in which we can farm like the lictor. Lets be hopeful

Last 5 reqs have all been 5 shards or uncommon orbs for me, tacticus is quickly becoming a pointless endeavour

Most players are. LREs are mostly for late-game players, lots of at least G1s

why not just make the drop change for gear 100% and adjust the energy cost per node depending on the rarity of the items.

This game is really sucks to new players. And im not that new player, im played alot hours, hundreds hours, and im still weak to kill almost anythinh above uncommon level difficult of all type of game mode battles. So, we cant defeat the enemys requiery to gain the goods from events, Guildas, and such. Even the regular everday normal mother F3c campain its alread get too difficult, and we get stuck after the level 60-80, because the rewards needed to upgrade the characters is not enough, not for non pay to win players.
“Eventually you’ll get more” I haven’t pulled a legendary unit ever stop with the mercy system give us better drop rates. I should always get a uncommon or common upgrade for 6 energy not sometimes 18-24 energy for a single uncommon or common upgrade. All this new stuff they add helps new players yea but just throws old players like me to the side. I’ve used hundreds of requisitions prolly thousands but none of them counted for this mercy system because the system was added late. Stop catering to new players and make the game fun for everyone. Just wait til the new players find out about how shitty mid game is…..

I think it's so fun to see that people in my guild and other playing this game have such interesting jobs. It's cool to hear about guild mates' work or other hobbies, really awesome to hear about what everyone is doing out there all over the world.
Do have to add that I think locking epics behind BP really sucks for those (like me) that either don't spend anything or only once in a blue moon. Hope it'll still be unlockable during some release event by missions or smth.
I wish they'd just revert to the jar system. It didnt feel as heartbreaking as the new mercy system does.
I like your feedback about Snowprint giving people coming in for a given faction a quick way to unlock them. I would have DEFINITELY done that with Tyranids since I missed all their release events and had to spend a year getting them by luck :(
Ew, the guild war change is terrible. We'll just use a low level player to attack a strong team a few times doing basically nothing, then a stronger one to take them out once they're significantly weaker. Weaker teams had a role already in clearing bot teams. We use a wall strategy to try stop the opponent even reaching our back lines, and this disproportionately affects teams like us, with a few strong members, and a bunch of lower level ones

I didn't have time to sift the Patch notes, and this was very well done. Pretty excited about what's to come but I'm still really looking for that legendary release event rework as a player that's been doing this less than half a year. I've dumped a significant amount of cash into the game to get my ball rolling, but those lres are extremely New player unfriendly.
