Automation of the trailer load lacing is missing. I have a process to automate tire lacing in the truck. So far my process is the only automated trailer loading process that maintains the +/- 800 tire per trailer density. The IP I have would easily sell tens of millions dollars. It won't be long before I'm bought out.

Why so many handling to different storage area that look exactly the same. Also why at 2:26 there is so many operation to put tires one by one on the conveyor while at 4:54 it uses a simple belt? All in all very weird setup..

Hi Pronoe, thanks for asking. In tire manufacturing process tires are often processed as single tires, like for example in testing process where tires are tested one by one. Mentioned storage area at 2:26 is buffer before the testing, where tires are randomly coming from curing area and are buffered/sorted before sending to testing. 0:45 These are uncured tires waiting to go into the press.
1:10 Tires are placed onto the loader pans. The loader will place them in the press.
1:30 Cured tires are ejected from the press and move to the next station.
1:40 These huts could be demagnetizers, Xray stations, or trimmers.
1:47 Manual inspection. They look for defects or other issues that may need to be adressed.
2:00 Tires are sorted and stacked according to model and size. (These are the machines I work with.)
2:30 It could possibly be buffing, balancing, and load test.
2:55 Once the tires are stacked, they are placed on pallets and sent to the warehouse.

In the factory I work in, tires come out of the press and go through the cooling conveyors. Basically they just sit and cool down. From there they are flipped over so the computer can read the barcode and send the tire to the right machine. there they go through the buffer. Another conveyor brings them around to the hotline where they are inspected and trimmed (if needed.) from there they are sorted and get balanced and load tested. Next they go to the sorter like seen at 2:00. Once there are four or five stacks of tires, it places them on a conveyor where they are labeled by hand and palaced on a pallet. (the robot does all the stacking. I couldn't imagine how much more room this system would take up if we had it in out facility.

Automation requires specialized people, that is really true, but it also bring the operator less back pain and reduce drastically the injuries on factories, which are no joke. Imagine that they won't have to deal with high temperature of tires' cure and some repetitive jobs in general.
