He was concussed bad TWICE from the 2 shots and a lot of people missed the this because of the angle, Imanov transitioned into full back mount before he started unloading again. He was not getting out of there even if it went on.
Shamil moves by contracting his foot muscles, which deforms a layer of sweat beneath them. This creates waves that travel from the back to the front of Shamil’s foot, propelling him forward. Scary stuff.
@@MMArcadePodcastShamil the meal deal Gaziev is the real deal. The blob will not be stopped. He will leave a snail trail of greatness behind on the way to the title.

His reflexes seem to have diminished a little as well. He's getting caught with stuff that never would've hit him before, which is bad when he has a style that relies so heavily on being elusive and tricky. Remember how Anderson Silva looked when he started to lose that cat-like agility he had? Same deal. The older he gets, the worse it's going to get.
People said it when Izzy was at his peak, His eyes and reaction time were his greatest asset, which happens to be the first thing to diminish with age. His footwork and speed still seem there, his reactions just aren't as quick. He also stance switched directly in punching range which he doesn't normally do and got caught because of it
There's a few fighters that have learned to attack during a stance switch. It's was very effective. Imavov timed it perfectly. Izzy stance switching at that distance was poor judgement. He was looking so good in that first round aside from that uppercut he got caught with.
I was so certain that Imavov was going to win. His right hand is very powerful and people were so pissy about the Cannonier stoppage they forgot it was Imavovs brutal right hand that hurt Jared, and most people he fights.
@ Thanks I've been a fan of his for a while. Chimaev is cool too but I'm honestly gutted for Imavov because he's done so much more work at 185 than Khamzat and if he is not next he'll probably have to risk another win before his title fight. Hes not super dangerous in any area but his game is good all around. He can win any matchup but its not a lock. In this matchup Adesanyas striking was concerning, but was confident Imavov would win somehow mixing it up or finding some good right hands. Now that he may need another win he may match with Caio and get tested in his grappling, which is another hard matchup. Middleweight is very good right now.
It’s cool that even while having a full time job you keep the channel going even when Rob isn’t there. It shows your dedication and I hope eventually you can make enough money with this channel where you won’t need a full time job. Maybe you can make an X page and start posting shorts on UA-cam and X so the channel can gain more traction.
I couldn't believe Izzy got caught like that, but that can happen to even the best in the world. Fair play to Imavov, just a sad outcome to that fight.
It was awesome. Honestly we need to respect Sean Strickland's fight with Imavov in a four week notice after a fight with Jared. That's aged like fine wine
Strickland provided the blueprint to beating Izzy - and, perhaps more importantly, he took Izzy's mojo. Izzy can keep fighting - this isn't a Tony Ferguson situation - but the mystique is gone and the title aspirations are over.
It's wild that Strickland dog walked him one month after fighting 5 rounds against Jared Cannonier. He must've improved a lot because Sean made him look bad.

The core of the middleweight division's problems when it comes to title contention is the fact that they're giving Strickland an undeserved title rematch, which is blocking up the whole top of the division
i blame it on the fact that izzy got two immediate title shots back to back after losing the belt, sean at least beat costa in between and he also has a win over imavov which suddenly seems way more impressive than it did 2 days ago.
I really feel that Izzy needed this win to push forward and build any momentum. I always envisioned izzy vs poatan for one of their retirement bouts but that doesn't seem competitive anymore =(
I couldnt believe it , i really dont even like izzy that much but i do think he coulve been giving a few more seconds there. He was obviously hurt but still moving and trying to get out
If Hernandez beats Allen (which I think is more likely then not, he did years ago), that might be the fight to make for Izzy. Albeit it’s a scary one, especially if it’s a 5 rounder.
Such a shame for Izzy. Both he and Eugene spoke so glowingly of the fight camp they had and the condition Izzy was in. But, after 3 losses in a row, the title is just looking a hill too far at 35 years of age. And, if Izzy isn't fighting for the title, what's he hanging around for?
Winners fight winners, losers fight losers, that way you can sort them out more definitively. Let's be honest, the rankings system is very arbitrary and who is then owed a title shot... MW has had a fair bit of movement and every victor is now dubbed as title contender next, everyone is getting a win over a highly ranked opponent... TIming has a couple of them lucking out. Imavov vs Borralho makes sense... who is the true contender there. Chimaev has gotten lucky with timing and demand and the champion said he wanted it. He gets to go through on that single top ten victory. Timing is everything. Chael was talking about Jiri Prochazka I think before his second Pereira fight. The whole thing of grappling is the way to defeat Alex, but if you are a striker who dives deep into the grappling, your striking will suffer... The trickiness of MMA. Israel's TD defence is so very good, has there been complacency regarding striking and his training has gone too hard at the area he's seen as most vulnerable? The first round showed someone who knows what to do, aggressive, etc... I'm not sure this loss is for all the right reasons... but maybe it is. It's all about what is in his head. DDP identified a lack of hunger. Does that mean his attention just isn't there, even in the cage? He's always had the same flaws... is it just guys now know?
Rob’s bumped down to 5th - Izzy bumped down to 4th Now topical Nassourdine bumped up to 2nd Chimaev stats at 3rd PURELY because Nassourdine has done more in 185 and beaten more 185 guys then Chimaev I’d actually argue and say Chimaev should have 1 more fight before a title shot, purely activity based
This might be Pavlovich's most important W of his career in future hindsight. Why? Because I think 2025 is going to be a big year for Sergey where he either becomes champion or becomes next in line for the belt. I believe Pavlovich becomes UFC HW champion before is all said and done.
I think Imavov deserves it more than Chamzat. Imavov is longer in division and never pulled out the fight. Chamzat is known for missing weight, traveling from one division to another, and he's very unreliable in terms of showing up. Plus, he's not entertaining as much as Imavov does. Quick finishes are not necessarily entertaining.
Pavlovich is just clueless. I get staying on the ground to secure the win, but he needs to do more than just win to get to the title - he needs to be undeniable. And the way he does that is to finish! After he salted away the first two rounds, he should've stood Jairzinho up in the 3rd round instead of going to the ground with him. Even just TRYING to do that would've gotten a huge pop from the crowd - and if he were to find a KO after calling Jairzinho up to his feet, everyone would be talking about it! Instead, we got a completely forgettable decision.
I can only guess at what it's like being at that level for Izzy, I suspect Alex was his final boss, and after that win, even though he trains as hard and wants to fight other opponents, maybe it's just lacking a spark for him. I wouldn't want him to but I think with the money he's made, it's better for Izzy to retire.
Izzy just had a bad night, I don't think this is the end for him. He was way too tense and his opponent took advantage of it. Good lesson on how to deal with the long guard though!
He's done competing for the belt. Father Time is unbeaten. He isn't beating DDP, Strickland, Chimaev, Imamov, or Caio. He's in the second tier now. Still good, not got enough
Love izzy sm. This is however, a mental battle. His major goal was to beat pereira when he joined the ufc. He has achieved that goal and i feel like somehow, his brain/mind is stuck in that wonderful victory. Its hard to get out of that space but he can do it, else he should retire cos there will be many more losses.
It doesn't matter, UFC makes the best and most interesting fights, one;; Whether one fighter is ranked 2, 3, or 10, a whow win over a great fighter, or a champ/future hall of famer, makes it for a title shot if they are ranked and close to the champ, I guess Imavov did it, Chimaev last whow was bigger than Imavov though, I guess, two (sorry for Bobby😞😞) Contenders are contenders, if one fight is already signed and things happens, the next in line would be Imavov, three. Every case is a case, UFC looking for the next h.cow moment, Imavov's "tko" wasn't a h.cow moment (nor was to Cannonier either). Nobody wants to fight Chimaev, he might have been 2 divs. champ right now if they did. It also depends on how stacked is the div. Adesanya's div. was very cleared. Imavov and Rakić are pretty similar, yet Rakić was stopped by Jiri's and his division, to be champ: Glover, (now Alex) Jiri, Jamahal, Blachowicz, it makes Rakić 5th and that's where he is (change Glover to Ankalaev right now). Imavov won to Cannonier and past Vettori and Caio. Not sure if he would win to Caio (grest fight) nor to be able of ko'ing Vettori either, four. Adesanya was 2, but actually that's third. DDP is right now the champ.Khamzat got the position of who he fought. What do you see or who you got if Khamzat was to fight Adesanya ? It's not a matter of position. K. is not fighting for the title because they rather spent Strickland-DDP one last time. It is fair, since Strickland tko Adesanya, and DDP - Strickl. was not clear. The most deserving was Khamzat, though. I.e. Matchmaking is also important, and timing is everything, five. Great video. Hoping and Wishing Adesanya to shine again, he making a camp with Jiri (and/or MVP) would be great Bit like a 🐝🐝 (Jiri, that's what he needs) and head movement🙈🙈🐍🐍 That's what he needs 4:42

Who's performance was worse? Whittaker against Khamzat, or Izzy against Imavov? I'd say Rob's by a slim margin. Both horrible, pathetic performances, though. Perhaps they can share a retirement home?
Early stoppage. Izzy was absolutely not nonresponsive when Mark "career ender" Goddard stopped it. Thats a third in a row.. could stop his whole career, changing his legacy. He needs to get a chance there to endure and come back. One single knockdown and some punches on top isnt stop-worthy
@houssedecouette4056 finish a former champion in 1st round, absolutely dominated Whittaker, that could have been a 10-7 round. Imavov has a great win, but do acknowledge imavov lost round 1 very clearly. Khamzat has finished most of his fights in 1-2 rounds 🤷 imavov has had a few decision wins.

I really feel that Izzy needed this win to push forward and build any momentum. I always envisioned izzy vs poatan for one of their retirement bouts but that doesn't seem competitive anymore =(
I think Adesanya vs MVP would be a sick ass fight
They're buddies and won't fight
this is like seeing toys r us or blockbuster go out of business, rip izzy end of an era
Khamzat moves to 2, Bobby moves to 3, Imavov moves to 4, Izzy either goes down to 5 or they bump him to 6 and Caio takes 5
It's almost like people get better and people decline with age.
I couldnt believe it , i really dont even like izzy that much but i do think he coulve been giving a few more seconds there. He was obviously hurt but still moving and trying to get out
Have you ever considered doing reaction streams to talk about the fights with us for a bit?
If Hernandez beats Allen (which I think is more likely then not, he did years ago), that might be the fight to make for Izzy. Albeit it’s a scary one, especially if it’s a 5 rounder.
In terms of the rankings, I assume Izzy will drop down to 5th or 6th, with Imavov going into 2nd or 3rd and Khamzat taking the other spot.
He’s not 1 away if you beat Izzy especially by ko your next imavov has to wait out but he has a choice to fight again his decision
UFC hates guys who do that. Imamov already said he'll fight as much as he can until he's granted a title shot
Rob’s bumped down to 5th - Izzy bumped down to 4th
Now topical
Nassourdine bumped up to 2nd
Chimaev stats at 3rd
PURELY because Nassourdine has done more in 185 and beaten more 185 guys then Chimaev
I’d actually argue and say Chimaev should have 1 more fight before a title shot, purely activity based
Easy fix for those rankings. Izzy falls a couple spots, Khamzat moves up to 2, and Imavov takes third place.
Imavov was getting revenge for Izzy’s dog.
This might be Pavlovich's most important W of his career in future hindsight. Why?
Because I think 2025 is going to be a big year for Sergey where he either becomes champion or becomes next in line for the belt.
I believe Pavlovich becomes UFC HW champion before is all said and done.
Dana is 💯 PERCENT correct we all must stop HATING ON KHAMZAT CHIMAEV...
ITS TIME FOR KHAMZAT TO FIGHT FOR TITLE
Sean Strickland crushed the aura izzy had
I think Imavov deserves it more than Chamzat. Imavov is longer in division and never pulled out the fight. Chamzat is known for missing weight, traveling from one division to another, and he's very unreliable in terms of showing up. Plus, he's not entertaining as much as Imavov does. Quick finishes are not necessarily entertaining.
13:20 Problem is aspinall already smoked volkov, you have to do him vs almeida or Gane to keep it interesting
I felt bad for izzy. He was crushed when he came back to reality..
Rob was right about that mvp vs shara fight lol. Didnt believe him. Are you going to be a media member next week Jonny?
looked similar to the right hand that strickland rocked izzy with in the first round of their fight
Imavov Revenged Robert Whittaker. He did to Izzy what Izzy did to Robert. 😂
I blame you, Jonny. You did this.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Ay c'mon 😂😂😂
I can only guess at what it's like being at that level for Izzy, I suspect Alex was his final boss, and after that win, even though he trains as hard and wants to fight other opponents, maybe it's just lacking a spark for him. I wouldn't want him to but I think with the money he's made, it's better for Izzy to retire.
This was a rough one to watch and I'm not even really an Izzy fan. I thought he was going to make it look easy too.
I really did hold my head for Izzy
It doesn't matter, UFC makes the best and most interesting fights, one;;
Whether one fighter is ranked 2, 3, or 10, a whow win over a great fighter, or a champ/future hall of famer, makes it for a title shot if they are ranked and close to the champ,
I guess Imavov did it, Chimaev last whow was bigger than Imavov though, I guess, two (sorry for Bobby😞😞)
Contenders are contenders, if one fight is already signed and things happens, the next in line would be Imavov,
three.
Every case is a case,
UFC looking for the next h.cow moment, Imavov's "tko" wasn't a h.cow moment (nor was to Cannonier either). Not sure if he would win to Caio (grest fight) nor to be able of ko'ing Vettori either,
four.
I.e. Matchmaking is also important, and timing is everything,
five.
Great video. Hoping and Wishing Adesanya to shine again, he making a camp with Jiri (and/or MVP) would be great
Bit like a 🐝🐝 (Jiri, that's what he needs) and head movement🙈🙈🐍🐍 That's what he needs
4:42
Nah, it was early. Izzy was not out
Nassaourdine V Whittaker should be next.
Rob it's not gonna fight until june
you are down right insane
I don’t want naseroudine to fight Khamzat ..we want the Dagestani / Chechen guys fight western fighters that’s what make the fight.
Johnny what is your friend ID on pokemon TCG pocket?
I dont want to see Izzy fight these lower ranks because he's lost a step. He should just retire.
Izzy’s got to let it go. Let it go.
What are you watching 👀 Izzy is shot...
Don't we all remember da greatest middleweight ANDERSON SILVA DECLINING
IT HAPPENS
Huge fan of the podcast but I was little annoyed listening to both your prediction. You and Rob gave Imavov no chance on the feet. Of course Izzy was a completely reasonable pick but I also think both you and Rob severely underestimate Imavov.
caio vs imavov would also make sense
absolutly fkn not
Izzy was doing well , defended the takedown even did a lateral drop humself. Imavov made it dirty in the second and just clipped him im not an izzy fan but thats sad
Why nobody's mentioning how bad the mvp vs shara fight was ?
One of the worst fighta I've ever seen
Imamov should be 2nd and fight chimeav for #1 contender
You don’t want Rob to fight Izzy but you want Imamov to,fight Khamzat? They may not be from same gym but there is affliction as they are both from same region and are Muslim…
Did imavov say he doesnt want to fight khamzat?
Lol.
@@Natures..Sacrifice nop he said it's better if we fought fot the belt but if it has to happen it will
Izzy’s next fight = rematch of the Strickland/Du Plessis loser? He’s friends with everybody else at 205 and 170
I’ve never understood the hype around Shara Bullet?
Khamzat won't get a title shot until he's able to fight outside the middle east.
Dana flat out said in the press conference that he will have no problem getting Khamzat into the US now given his relationship with the president
Whoever loses from DDP vs Sean becomes #1
#2 should be imavov since he beat izzy who was #2 qnd Khamzat beat Rob who was #3 at the time and Izzy falls to #4 and Rob #5
Who's performance was worse? Whittaker against Khamzat, or Izzy against Imavov?
I'd say Rob's by a slim margin. Both horrible, pathetic performances, though. Perhaps they can share a retirement home?
Imavov shud be 3rd and move khamzat chimaev up to 2nd
Izzy has declined
With 3 straight losses
Bruh im boutta stop cheering for my fav fighters shit never goes rt
Send Izzy to GFL ??
C: DDP 1: Sean 2. Khamzat 3. Imavov 4. Izzy (imo)
imavov above khamzat
where is the live reaction ?? tf
Imavov vs Caio
Rob vs Allen
stop smoking
Sad day. Think Izzy is done. Imavov shouldn’t have been able to do that. Probably time to retire.
imavov is just better and you all are casuals who can't apreciate skill
I think Izzy deserves to retire from the UFC.
saed numagomadov is not related to khabib and is not part of his camp
I didn't say that, it was just saying that the nurmagomedovs haven't been doing well. I shouldnt have mentioned Islam though
So u want him to get brain damage, cool
You definitely lost a bet lol that was a plenty fair stoppage
Strickland 1 (should go to 4 after losing to DDP)
Put khamzat at 2
Imavov 3
what did khamzat do to deserve 2 over imavov who just beat number 2 ?
@houssedecouette4056 finish a former champion in 1st round, absolutely dominated Whittaker, that could have been a 10-7 round. Imavov has a great win, but do acknowledge imavov lost round 1 very clearly. Khamzat has finished most of his fights in 1-2 rounds 🤷 imavov has had a few decision wins.
@houssedecouette4056 having said that, rankings are not something I value anyway, I don't want to see imavov fight anyone else, let khamzat fight winner of DDP and Strickland, imavov can enjoy Ramadan, and then the next champion can defend Vs imavov
No bro Imavov vs Caio for no.1 contenders
There’s no way Imavov should fight down in the rankings after finishing Adesanya, you gotta be joking
@ Well Khamzat is next in line if Strickland loses again and fights Imavov why do a trilogy down 2-0 only make the fight if Strickland wins
you are insane my guy , at the bear minimum he gets looser of sean ddp , caio can get any other dude he aint getting title elimination so easy
@ it only makes sense if DDP loses because if Sean loses again and then wins against them then he fights DDP again?
new rankings
Chimaev #2
Imavov #3
Adesanya #5
no chimaev didn't do anything to be above nassourdine
