Imagine they recited this some 3500 years ago in India. What would have felt to be listening to this then? We Hindus should revive proper Vedic chanting. It happens, I am sure, but many of new generation have never probably even heard it ever.
actually Rig veda was passed on orally from thousands of years before it was transitioned to written format which was 5000 years ago. so if we speak of time this was recited the same way for thousands and thousands of years ago
The saddest part is ..our education system totally discarded "Sanskrit" in most of their curriculum. My mum-dad-aunts they all learned sanskrit in their school days but for me it was not even in the Optional Language. It's a shame beyond expression
@@अजिङ्क्यगोखले it is not skepticism. Where it started? Here , there, where are related to objects in space. When it started, what was there before? When, was all related to time. Time Space came only AFTER MANIFESTATION ( not creation)! There can’t be cause in time or space prior to manifestation, hence none can know it. Very deep philosophy.
Have you read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita? Please visit my UA-cam channel and websites for simple and quick ways to Capture the Essence and learn the fundamental principles of Advaita Vedanta. Stay blessed. Jai Shri Krishna.
This verse encapsulates humanity's timeless quest for understanding its existence, unraveling the mysteries of the universe and its creation. It's disheartening that even yogis, Maharishis, and devas couldn't fathom the essence and origin; it leaves little hope for us commoners to ever unravel these profound truths. :)
I am so grateful to have discovered this. The Vedas are a treasure trove that must reach all of humanity. I have a humble submission though. However proud we may be of our great vedic heritage let us not become arrogant of its superiority or compare it with other religions. Let us remain true sceptics and seekers in the vedic path. In fact I feel in many ways Hinduism today has itself forgotten or abandoned it's vedic roots. I hope there is a true revival and rediscovery. My best wishes to you in this noble mission.
Jai Shri Krishna. Thank you for dropping in and for your comment. May I ask you what made you offer your suggestion that we refrain from being arrogant of the superiority of the Sanatana Dharma? The message given in the description of the videos is, "As compared to being a believer or follower of some organised religion, being a seeker adds meaning and colour to life. The quest for knowledge of a true seeker makes their life more interesting, intellectually stimulating, fulfilling, blissful and Karmically rewarding." Stay blessed. Harihi Om.
@@Tavamithram yes of course! I should have been more clear in my comment. Here's what I meant: the video is nothing if not a perfect rendition of the beautiful and profound vedic hymn. My comment was more a general reflection on the state of Hindus and Hinduism today who are the descendants of this vedic knowledge tradition. It was also partly a reaction to some of the comments I read here that suggest that Hindus are somehow superior...If we were brutally honest with ourselves (as I am probably being now) we would have to admit that as a religion, Hinduism has not retained the original philosophic quest (of Vedas) as part of its character. Of course, we generally do not proselytise, we are not organised under rigid church like institutions, but we have tended to become dogmatic. More so I would argue in the recent times due to political influences. So I wonder if it is the nature and structure of religion itself to become so, which is problematic. I am no scholar but as I understand, Sruti which contained gems like this sukta is I think the truth and our true heritage. Smriti emerges in response to the times they were written and may be discarded or rewritten. Therefore my plea was for Hindus to reclaim the glorious heritage of the vedic and vedandic philosophy and let go of the more rigid, ritualistic beliefs that seem to dominate our mind and actions. Neti Neti! Thank you again for your service. Sorry if I offended you.
@@emgece2302 Thank you for replying. Not at all...I only wanted to make sure what you meant by your comment. I agree with you that our folks have not 'retained the original philosophic quest...' It is sad that the entire God concept has been so highly contaminated with ridiculous ideas that most people do not have any clue about the 'WHOLE' or the all-pervading Brahman existing equally everywhere which is the foundation of the Advaita Vedanta. One of my humble missions is to get people interested in reading the Srimad Bhagavad Gita translated into a language of their choice at least once in their lifetime in order for them to understand the basics of the nondualistic Brahman aka Krishna. I have created a website with simple translations of all the chapters of Srimad Bhagavad Gita and have used large fonts which are easy to read. bit.ly/tvmgita You might want to watch another video of mine on the Ishavasyopanishad too. bit.ly/ishopanishad I have recently published an audiobook of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita in English. It should help people go through the Bhagavad Gita in less than three hours. bit.ly/sbgaudio Those who go through the Srimad Bhagavad Gita will see that Bhagavan Krishna spoke about the futility of rituals because people get carried away by them instead of concentrating on the Supreme Lord - Srimad Bhagavad Gita Shlokas 2 : 42-44, 7 : 20 I guess the awakening is happening now. Of course, it will go through different phases but the most encouraging fact is that people have begun to understand the perils that abrahamic cults pose to our Dharmic philosophy and way of life. Stay blessed. Jai Shri Krishna
Sure, will check these out... However, I am not sure what you mean by " the awakening is happening now". I actually think that we are as a society regressing with the rise in midieval style tribalism and atrocities in the name of upholding religion. Isn't it ironic that the the profound monism of this religion that made it so outwardly pluralistic should become so intolerant of the other? Those who lament the sad state of social and political affairs want nothing to do with reform from within, particularly of the religious kind. And those on the other side of this fence think this is the revival we needed. As I said before, I believe it is because we have lost touch with our true purpose, realisation of the One, that we fail to see what's happening today for what it is. This religion never persecuted anyone for holding a different faith! A true revival to my mind is one that questions this current dispensation and reminds us of our true purpose. I may be in the microscopic minority in thinking this way but I hold on to my optimism....
In Vedic Dharma you are the Seeker just like the Vedic Seers & you must perform your Karma & Dhyana (intellectual churning within) until you become a spiritually realised & awakened being one day. Om Namah Shivaya ❤️
There is no religion called Hinduism or sanatan dharma A seeker can't be a believer.. India was a land of seekers . Many many different seekers who made different laws and culture with nothing to do with a supernatural power or God. All Scriptures are written by different human beings with no connection with God.

A famous Yogi has said , Shiva (the first Yogi) walked this planet (Manasarovar, Kailash), at least 40,000 to 60,000 years ago ! Yoga is too ancient. The WEST does not want to accept it. So they said 3,500 years old. There have been cave paintings of Shiva dating back 12,500 years ago. Varanasi has been re-built several times over - during a period stretching thousands of years.
In bigbang---everything created from a point and expand to infinite.. In vedic sanatan--everything is created from infinte oneness called prakriti to a finite universe....there is multiple finite universe created from infinite one prakriti...prakriti is constant everywhere,,and there is no change in it....
Why are you so sure of that, Here it says there was Nothing, not infinite xyz. Prakrit Or ANYTHING at all came afterwards, even the Gods if any. The word used in this rig veda is also Brahman, not really Prakrit but i suppose it means the same thing in the sense youre using, eternal absolute

Then even nothingness was not, nor existence, There was no sky then, nor the space beyond it. What covered it? Where was it? In whose keeping? Was there then cosmic water, in depths unfathomed? 2. Then there was neither death nor immortality nor was there then the torch of night and day. The One breathed windlessly and self-sustaining. There was that One then, and there was no other. 3. At first there was only darkness wrapped in darkness. All this was only unillumined cosmic water. That One which came to be, enclosed in nothing, arose at last, born of the power of heat. 4. In the beginning desire descended on it - that was the primal seed, born of the mind. The sages who have searched their hearts with wisdom know how the "existence" is related to "nothingness". 5. And they have stretched their cord across the void, and know what was above, and what below. Seminal powers made fertile mighty forces. Below was strength, and over it was impulse. 6. But, after all, who knows, and who can say Whence it all came, and how creation happened? the gods (forces of nature) themselves are later than creation, so who knows truly whence it has arisen? 7. Whence all creation had its origin, the creator, whether he fashioned it or whether he did not, the creator, who surveys it all from highest heaven, he knows - or maybe even he does not know.
What this is saying is - There is no definition to the "source of creation"... we can never define it , but only dissolve into it ! It is too vast, it is too enormous for anyone to understand. You may experience the ultimate (through Yoga), but still dont know how it happened and why !! It will always be a mystery. you can only dissolve into it.

Very great knowledge but one thing I liked your video and there is thing I like to recommend (not offence) : Devas are not gods . Devas are children of aditi. Devas are the controllers of their respective natural elements , such as water, etc. On the other hand the one which we all recognize as supreme power is sanatan. This means that the god is always there.

Change is constant, change is eternal still we have preserved a small fraction of that 5000 year old cultures while other contemporary cultures perished, it's not a small feat!
Nice, but it seems you're not referring to the meditation described in the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. If someone reads and truly comprehends the teachings of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, they will no longer need to invest time in the sort of meditation often promoted in the 'spiritual marketplace.' Instead, they can, through true knowledge, attain a default state of mind of unending bliss and peace 24/7. Just saying.
Could you please tell me some contrasting differences between Vedanta philosophy, Sikhism , Buddhism and Jainism ? Except Sikhism which belive in the oneness of GOD, all 3 seems to be same ?
Hello. It's you again. How far have you come with your preparation for your exams? Well, as regards your question, I do not wish to get into comparing different ways of life, particularly at a place such as a UA-cam comment section. However, what I would say is that Vedanta is no 'ism'. It is the culmination of an entire process of human intellectual and spiritual evolution over long periods of time. No one is preaching anything or asking anyone to do anything. The Upanishads, which form Vedanta, because they are at the end of the Vedas, are mostly discussions and debates between seekers and their teachers. It is to be noted that the seekers in the Upanishads were also highly knowledgeable sages who had the intellectual capacity and courage to question even more spiritually evolved sages. I have prepared a short 'Intro to the Vedas and Upanishads' course. It is available on Tavamithram's Udemy Learning Centre bit.ly/tvmudemy and also here on this channel. Below is Part 2 of the course, which could answer a number of questions you might have. It's only about an hour long. 'An Intro to THE VEDAS and 10 UPANISHADS' - Fundamentals. That is exactly the beauty of the Sanatana Dharma, which is a path of seekers, unlike in the case of organised religions that have hard and fast rules. There is nothing called right or wrong because they are relative. All souls are in the process seeking the Truth and finding their own way, either through what is known as experiential Vedanta, such as that of Shri Ramana Maharshi, or by following great teachers. This amazing Sukta ends with a question that drives seekers deeper into their quest for seeking the supreme goal. I asked you 'who is God' because you said 'God did not create the universe but adorned it..." which indicates that according to you God is a 'separate person or force' and this in turn refutes the nondualistic nature of existence. Separating God from the Self is a major drawback that prevents people from experiencing their own Divinity. How many people realise what Krishna said clearly in Shloka 10 : 20 of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita? He said that the Self in all beings is Him - the all-pervading and indefinable Supreme Brahman. The state of Turiya cannot be experienced through the five senses nor can it be known through comparison, reasoning, or by inferring it from something. It is invisible, indefinable, ineffable, intangible, incomprehensible, and inconceivable. This state of Pure Consciousness is tranquil, peaceful, blissful, and incomparable. After which Vishnu was born, all Vishnu heard was someone telling him to meditate which he did for millions of years his sweat became the the ocean cosmos out came Brahma which took him thousands or millions of years to find Vishnu. After which they both starting debating who was higher and creator. Then after which Agni Lingam manifested. The rest is history. Nice. I appreciate your questions. You have asked what the following mean: - The one that was enclosed in nothingness - and the one enclosed in nothing. - that one alone perceives all from above. I understand your questions, and it appears to me that they stem from your premise that 'that one' should mean some anthropomorphic being. Well, this is what almost all organised religions, such as the Abrahamic ones, claim and profess - that there is a creator with whims and fancies, likes and dislikes, emotions, a throne, a son, and whatnot. Have you by any chance read any of the Vedas or the Upanishads? I have a short course which is an introduction to the Vedas and 10 Upanishads. Here is the link to it: tavamithramsarvada.wordpress.com/2022/04/01/vedanta-a-crash-course/ Brahman is the combination of Sat and Chit, namely, Shakti and Shiva, or Existence and its consciousness or awareness. In simple language, Aakaasha, or the formless and limitless sky, in which everything exists, could be called Brahman. Take Shlokas SBG 8:13-20 for example. Shloka SBG 8:30 personifies the ultimate truth of existence and its awareness by calling it 'He.' tvmgita.wordpress.com/gita/chapter-8/ Anthropomorphisation or personification merely helps seekers in making sense of natural principles. However, taking them literally leads to the creation of religions and causes differences among people. Someone once said that if mosquitoes had a 'god,' that god would be a giant mosquito. - Brahman is the indescribable, unknowable, all-pervading and eternal Divine principle (also personified as Krishna) is Existence and Awareness. - Anything either abstract or material that can be perceived is like a wave in the ocean of existence. Everything that can be perceived or not perceived is the same All-pervading Brahman. Adi Shankaracharya gave the wave and a string or pearls analogy. Let me know if you would like to know more about this. For now, doing my short Intro to the Vedanta should be of good use. There are no blind beliefs, belief in the unknown, obedience or such things in Vedanta. The four Vedas are, in fact, an entire process of intellectual and spiritual evolution. Stay blessed.
Disclaimer: My statements are not directed against anyone, any group, any organisation, or any organised religion. 1. Please read my previous reply to you at least two times. 2. It would be good if you could do the Intro to Vedanta course I suggested. 3. It is a real pity that the so-called religious (clowns) of these days are light years behind in their thinking as compared to Vedic sages who lived many millennia ago. The great Rishis of the Akhand Bharat Varsha were far too advanced in their scientific approach. Be it the Srimad Bhagavad Gita or any other such high Vedantic scripture, they are all 100% ALLEGORICAL. 4. The term 'atheism' is a cheap, kiddish, and senseless word. 'Atheism' is defined as one who is not theistic, or rather one who does not believe in a theistic being. So, would people who do not believe in unicorns be called 'aunicornists'? If one looks at it carefully, a person who claims to be an atheist in truth accepts that there is something called a theistic being, which he or she does not believe in. Vedanta leans more towards monism. There are no childish concepts of a personal 'god', satan, deities, hell, heaven, or creation in Vedanta. A seeker who follows the path of Vedanta to attain the ultimate truth, invariably, questions, debates, researches, and reflects, but NEVER BLINDLY OBEYS as it is in the case of organised religions. How about watching some of my videos on similar topics on this channel? I always substantiate whatever I say through relevant references from Vedantic scriptures. 'Mission Tavamithram's SBG for all' is to encourage people, particularly the young, to move away from rites, rituals, mambo jumbo, and religion as a whole, and study the rational and scientific philosophy of Vedanta starting with the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. @@Tavamithram 😵😵😵 Confused much than before Does the universe have a creator or it has come by itself and has attained consciousness? Who is Krishna then ? He called himself, the first and the last . He said 'everything comes from him and to him everything will be returned.' He also told that he is the supreme. Don't you consider Krishna as the creator of the universe or do you believe even Krishna was once not in existence?
How about answering the questions I have posed earlier? Have you read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita - Yes or no? Have you studied any of the Upanishads? Do you think that Krishna is or was a person who created all this? Seriously? I hope you have heard of the term allegory. I said in a previous post that the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and all Itihasas and Puranas are 100% allegorical. The thought or belief that if something is there, then someone must have created it, does not exist in Vedanta. Before seekers try to get answers to their questions, they would first need to arrive at who or what exactly is asking the question. That is the quest to understand the 'I'. Understanding infinity is certainly not easy for us ordinary humans, and hence the study of Vedanta. I am saying it again: Pls go through what I have given above in my previous messages and continue this conversation. The ALL-PERVADING Supreme truth or Parabrahmam has always existed. All that you think exists manifest and goes unmanifest in cycles. I gave you the link to the 8th chapter of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita - Shlokas 8:13-30 The first step to be taken before starting to study Vedanta is to learn to perceive the wholeness of existence. When you look at the ocean, your attention surely falls on the waves, but then you know the whole to be an ocean, and the short-lived waves to have arisen from the ocean. Read the short Ishavasya Upanishad. It is available on my website. Just Google ishavasya upanishad tavamithram. The brutally disfigured conception of 'god', thanks to Abrahamic influences, has taken even supposedly devout followers of the Vedic Sanatana Dharma eons away from the Vedantic path towards attaining Brahmagnyaana or the Knowledge of timeless and All-pervading SELF.

What are you smoking or just making sweeping statements for attention? How many of six philosophies you've studied which have countless books to study?
Have you ever tried asking yourself: If there must be a creator who must have created everything, there must also be another creator who must have created the creator who created everything, and so on. It is called infinite regress. Vedanta destroys anything and everything that is illogical and irrational. That is the whole purpose of this Nasadiya Sukta - to encourage and actually celebrate skepticism.
@@Tavamithram Logically, infinite regression is impossible. If it's so then we would have never come into existence. Either the universe has a creator or the universe has come up by itself . Encouraging skepticism is ok but it causes lot of confusion
The time of this sukta mentioned is not right.... Only 3500 yrs ago? I think the actual age is far more... Because wrigveda is older than ramayana... And recent findings says ramayanas time was almost 7-9 thousands yrs old...
Yea. Sanskrit language as being oldest language did not come in existence in form of writing of devanagari as we see it in present time. So All these great Vedic scriptures was existed before Gautam Buddha and he born 1500 BC before Christ according to modern day historian. So this language was in form of spoken more than 8000 years ago. If the scripts of oldest river valley civilization of Harappan could be decifer then we can assure that how old is Sanskrit because this civilization existed there more than 5000 years and their culture and life style and way of worshipping was somewhat like Vedic People mentioned on scriptures of Vedas. Example of Vedic sacrifices attire, coins depicted in Yogi mudra etc etc.
Lord Vishnu who is the Adi Purush i.e. the very first god gave Veda to Lord Brahma for the creation of the universe. In Dwapar Yug Lord Krishna the avatar of Lord Vishnu himself said that I am unborn, I am both formless as well as I am having the form. In Dwapar Yug itself another avatar of Lord Vishnu Maharshi Ved Vyas divided the Veda into 4 parts for the upcoming people of Kali Yuga. Hiranyagarbha simply means Golden womb from whom the entire universe has taken birth who is none other than Adi Purush Garbhodakshayi Vishnu and the line that even gods don't know who has created the universe applies to other Gods like Indra, Agni, Vayu etc. it doesn't apply to Lord Vishnu who is Supreme Parabrahma ❤.
This is not bigbang--this is vedic knowledge of creation,,,all inside like cosmic water means prakriti and brahman(cosmic consiousness)who desire for the creation and then different reshmies are created and so on whole things..... In the begaining there was nothing but prakriti(like cosmic water) is everywhere exist as oneness..from that everything arose......prakriti is not a point but it is infinite....so it is different from big bang,,,.......
I suggest that you take some time to read the Srimad Bhagavad Gita, and at least the first few of the Dashopanishad (10 principal Upanishads). Stay blessed.
In the third line, the One rose by the power of heat. "Heat" is "tapas". Which is a rather important part of the text to leave out of the translation, but in any case, how in the name of all the gods at once, can an impersonal force "do tapas"? How can an impersonal force do tapas? Someone please answer that! In the fourth line: "The sages who have searched their hearts with wisdom know that which is, is kin to that which is not." Take that Anathema Buddhists! The difference between that which is and that which is not can be discerned, although it is difficult because they are "kin", but you have to search your heart with wisdom first. So There! Nany nany woo hoo! And don't try to argue, because sages who have "searched their hearts with wisdom" can not be wrong! It should be a criteria for putting something in Wikipedia! In any case, someone please tell me how an impersonal force can "do tapas". Thank You!
Namaste. 1. तपस् /t̪ɐ́pəs/ Tapas means 'asceticism' but in the 3rd stanza, it is the word 'तप' /t̪ɐ́pə/ romanised as 'tapa' that has been used. 'तप' means heat. In Hindi too, the words ताप /t̪ a:p/ and तापमान /t̪ a:pma:n/ mean heat and also temperature. In the case of the third stanza, the word 'तप' /t̪ɐ́pə/ is a part of 'यदासीत्तपसस्तन्महिनाजायतैकम्' 'yadaa-seet-tapasas-tanmahinaa-jaaya-taikam 2. The fourth stanza: 'The wise who searched deep within their heart could discern between that which is and that which is not.' All that we know or believe we know, is carried over knowledge and consciousness. It contributes towards evolution. We learn from what our ancestors have discovered, and using that knowledge, we progress. Otherwise, each of us would have had to discover fire, reinvent the wheel, and make all other inventions within the short duration of a person as a mortal on the planet. Asking questions is prohibited in organised cults and religions that teach fairy tales like those of some 'god' in the heavens, who has hair as white like wool, who made the earth, the heavens, the living beings etc in six days and rested on the seventh day. Their 'god' is said to have adopted a rather intriguing and tricky series of operations - he created light then 'night and day' on the first 'day' but the sun and the moon on the fourth 'day'. However, in the timeless Sanatana Dharma, which has been constantly evolving, asking questions is the first advice (not commandment) to people. The Nasadiya Sukta is no statement but it ends with an agnostic question. It demonstrates that sceptical inquiry is an essential part of Dharmic culture unlike in the kind of religions mentioned above in which, people are completely brainwashed and indoctrinated to believe a story. One of Krishna's main teachings is to ask questions - e.g. Bhagavad Gita 4:34 Please note that strange and even unintelligent comments or questions are welcome but certainly not moronic and stupidly sarcastic ones that disturb or damage the decorum of the discussion about of the videos on this channel. Wikipedia is useful but to understand something well, it would make sense to ask people who have studied the subject in depth. Stay blessed. Thank you.

Sorry, it does not mean 'one' god in the Abrahamic sense. There is no concept of 'god' in Vedanta, and the concept of Brahm or Brahman does not exist in Abrahamic religions. Brahman should not be confused with Brahma, in the trinity which symbolise creation, preservation, and destruction. Brahman is not any entity sitting on a throne in the sky, but simply the one single truth, and the whole of existence and non-existence. It has nothing to do with any 'gods', deities, or any other such imaginary being. The Nasadiya Sukta is a highly skeptical one. Please read the second part of the last verse of the Sukta at 3:50, which also happens to be the closing line of this awesome Sukta.

@@Himanshu_kld Sorry, but although you have not answered my questions, I can see that you have neither the Vedas nor at least the Srimad Bhagavad Gita. So, can you please let me know what exactly you mean by 'Vedanta philosophy'? And when did the concept of 'belief' creep into Vedanta? To understand the cyclical nature of the universe, one does not even need to go to the Vedas; Chapter 8 of the SBG should suffice. Also, please enlighten me on what you think the 'Vedanta philosophy of 'Ved Vyas ji' is. The philosophy of Vedanta mainly has three canonical scriptures, called the Prasthana Trayi: 1. Hello. It looks like either you have not watched this video completely or have not read the book of Genesis. The concept of God in the Bible is totally different from the Omnipresent, All Pervading, Formless, Spaceless, Timeless and Impersonal Brahman understood through the Advaita Vedanta. Please read verses 1-27 of the first chapter of the book of Genesis and go through the Nasadiya Sukta again. The Shlokas in the Nasadiya Sukta are actually questions about creation or rather the beginning itself and are not statements as made in the book of Genesis. Harihi Om.

The quest for knowledge of a true seeker makes their life more interesting, intellectually stimulating, fulfilling, blissful and Karmically rewarding."
Stay blessed.

I may be in the microscopic minority in thinking this way but I hold on to my optimism....
you my friend have put it across beautifully.let us remain the true skeptics and seekers of knowledge.

Yoga is too ancient. The WEST does not want to accept it. So they said 3,500 years old. There have been cave paintings of Shiva dating back 12,500 years ago. Varanasi has been re-built several times over - during a period stretching thousands of years.

There was no sky then, nor the space beyond it.
What covered it? Where was it? In whose keeping?
Was there then cosmic water, in depths unfathomed?
2. Then there was neither death nor immortality
nor was there then the torch of night and day.
The One breathed windlessly and self-sustaining.
There was that One then, and there was no other.
3. At first there was only darkness wrapped in darkness.
All this was only unillumined cosmic water.
That One which came to be, enclosed in nothing,

4. In the beginning desire descended on it -
that was the primal seed, born of the mind.
The sages who have searched their hearts with wisdom
know how the "existence" is related to "nothingness".
5. And they have stretched their cord across the void,
and know what was above, and what below.
Seminal powers made fertile mighty forces.
Below was strength, and over it was impulse.

Whence it all came, and how creation happened?
the gods (forces of nature) themselves are later than creation,
so who knows truly whence it has arisen?
7. Whence all creation had its origin,
the creator, whether he fashioned it or whether he did not,
the creator, who surveys it all from highest heaven,
he knows - or maybe even he does not know.

Rigveda 5000 years ago ladies and gentlemen... What have we become.today? Think!
slaves of "superior" western culture.
We have become followers of Mao, Mohammad, Mary and Macaulay, worshipping their egotistical deities.
Just cycles of life, that is also in vedas.. its inevitable
Change is constant, change is eternal still we have preserved a small fraction of that 5000 year old cultures while other contemporary cultures perished, it's not a small feat!
Skepticism at its best👌
Beautiful.
This was the opening song of bharat ek khoj I think
mind control via meditation which I do everyday brings solace to mind

Where did creation have its origin? Who is One that created it or did the One not create it?
That One alone perceives all from above and knows the beginning or maybe doesn’t?
The seventh Shloka of the Mandujya Upanishad says:
The Fourth Aspect is called Turiya which is a term derived from the root ‘chatur‘. Turiya literally means ‘the fourth’. It is that which is not conscious of the external world nor of the internal world. It is neither outer nor inner consciousness and is also neither semi-consciousness nor the consciousness in the sleeping state. It is the Atman or the real Self. The Divinity or that which needs to be realised.
By the way, the three parts of ओ३म् or ॐ are अ-उ-म

There was only silence with only the sound of aum being heard. Pitch black and stillness. This Om was Mahadev, he himself along with Shakti created the cosmos. Its true Devas and other beings came into existence after the Cosmos but don't forget even Devas will die including Vishnu and Brahma when the Time comes to an end. Shiva is the only one where there is no beginning nor end. Vishnu had a beginning so of course there will be an end. I've read somewhere years ago this is the 7th Vishnu now I can't find that source anywhere.
Namaste. Thank you for stopping by and for typing a comment on this timeline. Sorry to say this, but what you have said is the kind of dualistic mambo jumbo that I stay away from and also encourage others to be wary of. Everything is one. There are no two. Separating God from nature/creation leads to the 'My god and your god' problems.

@@Tavamithram Beautiful. Indeed Brahman cant be defined. Any definition of Brahman is Maya and Maya is the divine mother. The way to uncover the Maya is by getting the grace of the divine mother shakti or through a Self realized Guru such as Ramana Maharsi who can remove the Avidya (ignorance) and later we realize we were already Brahman. The main point to be grasped is we cant jump straight to Jnana Yoga (Meditation) by skipping Bhakti yoga and karma yoga as these are foundations to Jnana yoga (Brahman Realization)

3:47 here , does *the one* refer to the creator or universe itself ?
Nice. I appreciate your questions.
You have asked what the following mean:
- The one that was enclosed in nothingness
- and the one enclosed in nothing.
Here is the link to it: tavamithramsarvada.wordpress.com/2022/04/01/vedanta-a-crash-course/
Brahman is the combination of Sat and Chit, namely, Shakti and Shiva, or Existence and its consciousness or awareness. In simple language, Aakaasha, or the formless and limitless sky, in which everything exists, could be called Brahman.
Take Shlokas SBG 8:13-20 for example. Shloka SBG 8:30 personifies the ultimate truth of existence and its awareness by calling it 'He.' tvmgita.wordpress.com/gita/chapter-8/
Anthropomorphisation or personification merely helps seekers in making sense of natural principles.

I'm quite confused 😵
1) Is Brahman God ?
2) Is Krishna God ?
3) Is vedanta philosophy based on atheism
You might want to check out my Udemy Learning Centre, which is a place that works on 'debrainwashing' the ignorant masses from the great land of ancient genius Rishis.
@@Tavamithram 😵😵😵 Confused much than before
Does the universe have a creator or it has come by itself and has attained consciousness?
I gave you the link to the 8th chapter of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita - Shlokas 8:13-30
The first step to be taken before starting to study Vedanta is to learn to perceive the wholeness of existence.

In the case of the third stanza, the word 'तप' /t̪ɐ́pə/ is a part of 'यदासीत्तपसस्तन्महिनाजायतैकम्' 'yadaa-seet-tapasas-tanmahinaa-jaaya-taikam
Bhagavad Gita 4:34
Please note that strange and even unintelligent comments or questions are welcome but certainly not moronic and stupidly sarcastic ones that disturb or damage the decorum of the discussion about of the videos on this channel.

@@Tavamithram sir neo vedanta is against the vedas, vedas talk about parmatma, jeev atma and prakriti
@@Himanshu_kldWhat is neo-Vedanta, and what do you mean by 'Vedas talk about parmatma, jev atma and prakriti'? If I may inquire, have you read any of the Vedas or any of the Upanishads? How about the Srimad Bhagavad Gita?
My mission is to encourage people to study for themselves and not to accept whatever they are told by those masquerading as 'spiritual people'. I aim to prevent individuals from becoming stuck with beliefs and other unintellectual notions that have nothing to do with Vedanta, the pinnacle of all Vedic studies. In case you haven't studied the Srimad Bhagavad Gita yet, please do it now. I have a number of videos on this supreme scripture, as well as books and free courses on Udemy.
Sorry, this channel does not support anything that is not backed by evidence, reason, and logic.
Please try reading the short Ishavasya Upanishad and all delusions regarding Paramatma, Jivaatma, and Prakriti will vanish. If you wish to discuss or ask questions, you may email me. Let us maintain the awe factor of this great Sukta, the Nasadiya Sukta composed, by great ancient Vedic sages, and one which I have attempted to portray through this video.
Thanks and stay blessed.

@@Tavamithram I mean in vedanta philosophy current vedantist believe there is only one consciousness, no jeev atma only parmatma. There is no material cause of this universe too & Vedas deny it and u should understand that Vedas are above the srimad Bhagavad Gita, and Geeta should match with Vedas as Krishna Maharaj ji is learned of Vedas as by his acharya ji sandipan Rishi.
Vedanta by ved vyas ji and today's vedanta is different so I used neo vedanta term the one by ved vyas ji was based on vedas
The philosophy of Vedanta mainly has three canonical scriptures, called the Prasthana Trayi:
1. The Upanishads
2. The Brahma Sutras
3. The Srimad Bhagavad Gita.
The Srimad Bhagavad Gita is known as the essence of all the Upanishads, which are at the pinnacle of the Vedas. Upanishads are the highest part of each of the Vedas, which are Samhitas, Brahmanas, Aranyakas, and Upanishads. Read Shloka SBG 2:46 (tvmgita.wordpress.com/gita/chapter-2/).
If you wish, you can go through my videos. I also have a two-part short course introducing the Vedas and Vedanta. They are available on UA-cam and also on Udemy. If you wish, you may watch the following videos:
Part 1 ua-cam.com/video/qN668lkgDW0/v-deo.html
Part 2 ua-cam.com/video/sgAg8s_7VEc/v-deo.html
My channel and blog encourage people to ask questions and gain clarity (SBG 4:34) This requires defining what one says and, if referring to any ancient Vedic scripture, citing exact sources.
By the way, who do you think was Ved Vyas ji? Alright, please give me the name(s) of the author(s) of the Srimad Bhagavad Gita and also the Srimad Bhagavat Purana, and when were they supposed to have been written?
Nothing
It’s more or less the same a Genesis in the Bible !
Harihi Om.
