So...complications from gastric bypass surgery has been one your main problems? Wow, it usually seems to help people so much. Bummer you had to go through this and be an exception to its benefits.

Thanks. These continued reminders from people like you help keep us on the right track. I don't even wash the food out of my little garden; pick and eat okra on the spot. Pick rosemary and lemon balm and eat it on the spot.

You should always wash stuff because animals around could have worms and the really tiny worm eggs can get in the soil and those eggs are viable for a long long time.

Great little video. Totally agree with growing your own and eating fermented foods. The other thing is to keep changing your food so you feed all the bugs

Even fresh food can be irradiated too. Fresh produce imported into NZ from Aussie is irradiated, such as rock melons.

Love your videos...What can we do when antibiotics are necessary. For example, to treat h-pylori bacterial infection.

Hi! We'd advise you consult a naturopath where possible, so they can help protect and rebuild your microbiome after antibiotic use!

Great video, but one thing that is very confusing is with Probiotic supplements. There are so many on the market, and it can be confusing. Not all types of probiotics even make it to your gut and are often destroyed by the acid in our stomachs. So are refrigerated probiotics or spore based probiotics better. Also making sure the source is a good one also. There are so many companies selling things that just aren't good and really don't help much. I'd like to see a little more detail on the type of probiotics that are best to actually reach the gut. Thanks for all the work you do toward getting us healthy!!

Probiotics are specialized: the benefits are specific to the species, so the best one to take depends on the symptoms you are addressing. For a good all-around probiotic, opt for a product that contains a variety of Lactobacillus and Bifido strains. Check the expiration date and look for third-party verification on the label. The best options have strain numbers after the species name. This indicates that the particular strain has been verified by research to be effective in humans for the conditions indicated on the label.
